This is how i ussually check out bikes i’m interested in: watch an informative review on MCN, and then i wonder how much fun the bike could be, and then i check 44teeth. Because you know 44teeth is going to do exactly what needs to be done on that bike
I own a 2018 Street Triple RS, and I have done more than 30 track days on it here in the states. The absolute unit carried me all the way to Advanced group while spanking $20k track bikes along the way. And all the polish and finishes are just excellent, dash, 90 degree valve stems, brakes, and of course that whistle of the triple. Watching this made me start pondering on trading it in for a 23 model!!!! Excellent and fun review as always guys!!!!
Man I love on boards with Al. The corner speed you carry is unreal. I can see how you made it all the way to BSB. Balls of steel with the talent to match! Thanks for the ride along
Monster SP is a really nice bike, but the engine couldn't be more different vs Street Triple. Triumph is high strung, Duc is a shaker and also has launch control, individual electronics settings, steering damper, hydraulic clutch, and a vastly better screen/ui.
Looks every bit as good as I’d hoped, good to see you gave it an absolute spanking 🤙🏻. Can’t f***ing wait for my moto2 to turn up in June🙏🏻. Big love to the 44t massive

You mentioned in the video that Triumph needs to put some clip ons and fairing on it. Youre welcome to take mine on track. You’ve raced against it, its Paul Holdens 765rs with proper maxton etc, I’ve added fairings and clipons for good measure.
Got an original '17 765RS and absolutely love it. Proper do it all bike and ridden plenty of other stuff with my last being a '15 S1000RR. Just don't get the satisfaction down a B road as on the Street because you can actually use more of its potential. Can have a blast on track too, last time at Oulton in inters was only overtaken once all day by a brand new RSV4. Think one of these, hopefully in Moto2 guise, is gonna be my forever bike
Ended up changing to an RS from an S1000RR for this reason. Only using a fraction of a bikes potential is no fun. Better off on a slower bike and going full send!✊🏼
@@DMax7894 Exactly! Better on the license too, 100 on a naked feels like your heads about to come off. I was riding down a motorway on the S1000 not long ago, look up, camera van on a bridge ahead and think "ah I'm not going that fast, look down and still doing 106... Luckily seem to have gotten away with that!
I test road a yellow RS yesterday. I really love the bike except for a couple of things. the display could be better. and most of all I wish it had a full fairing. I was wearing a 3/4 helmet and I had the strap a little to loose. and when I got up around 140 kilometer. which is around 86mph the helmet literally lifted off of my head and was only held on by the strap around my throat. so you have a bike that is capable of doing 150 mph. but even at 86 mph you are being hammered by the wind. so any high speed riding would have to be in little spurts. but if it had a full fairing you could actually really enjoy that top end. the breaks on the bike are top notch. and the combination of it feeling composed most of the time but also feeling super light is really nice. in really slow traffic you can idle the bike in first gear and the engine does fine. no gagging or buckling or whatever you call it. I own a 2017 Ducati 939 Supersport and I love everything about the bike. it has similar ergonomics to the RS but with a fairing. but the 939 does not like being at 2000 rpm and doesn't want to idle along in any gear at those rpm's the twin engine wants to get above 3000 rpm. but the bike has more low end and midrange punch then the RS. but I think the RS is overall a faster bike if you are just flying through the gears with the quick shifter at high rpm's. but to me the biggest advantage to the RS is how great of a city bike it would be because it feels like you are maneuvering a small light bike like a Ninja 400 when you are going between cars at low speeds. its an amazing combination of light weight but still stable. but not quite as stable as my 939. I will be keeping my eyes out for a 2nd hand yellow one which I might start to see maybe a year from now. I also tested a Trident. Speed Twin 1200, and the 900 Tiger I think it's called. and inside the dealership they had one of the top model 765's with the clip on bars. but it said sold on it. where I live the Triumph Street Triple RS is a $14.000 dollar bike. that is why I will be keeping my eye out for a second hand one. because I wouldn't mind owning one for a second nice bike. and I love different engine styles. so I would eventually like to own a triple to go along with my V twin. and also an inline four would be cool. if I can get a house with a garage there are probably five bikes I would like to eventually own.
I used to own a 2010 675 that I loved dearly, until it was totalled by a car. I haven't been a fan of the styling and colours of the updated models over the years, but this year's RS in red looks proper jizzworthy. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if I had the cash
you wouldn't want to get the munchies near Al in that onesie, you'd just want to lick all the food off, including that front lower hotdog! nice work Al, some skills there! x

Great video and what a bike!! Question: what were the actual track settings that the engineer applied to the bike, that made it so much better than the earlier sessions? Was it just the track map? Or are there suspension settings that you can share? Thanks a lot for this review!

I was thinking of upgrading my 2020 RS but I see they've kept the stupid dash graphics so it's a hard pass from me. The spacer in the rear shock mount is a simple mod as is swapping the old handlebar for a new one if needed. Brakes are basically the same for mortals who ride this on track and you can squeeze the 8ish extra horse power from the old bike with a slip-on and a tune. Great bike, lovely new colors but I feel the Moto2 special edition should have been the new RS. Kinda disappointed but it is what it is...
