honestly this video gave me some nostalgia. I used to fly only on Airtran whenever I flew, and the sound of the 717 engine is basically impossible to forget, when taking off, and sometimes even during taxiing the sound of the engine makes my entire seat vibrate

No problems here with the video, but one thing that always annoys me is when people put FULL THROTTLE in the video. I can definitely speak for the Boeing 717 that the T/O EPR can range from 1.38 or less to 1.55 or more depending on weight, fuel load, baggage, etc. Not doggin ya or anything, but just a tip for the future, if you can, before the flight, take a look on the center (left) screen, the EICAS and look at the top, you will see the T/O EPR set, which is automatically calculated based on pilot inputs into the FMC. If you see 1.55 or something, chances are that is pretty close to full throttle (or you can ask what the max T/O EPR is and compare that against the T/O EPR of your flight, but if you see 1.38 (I've been on flights with both), that is more like minimum thrust needed. Just a fun fact. BTW -- when people say MAX BRAKING, that is annoying too.

Very nice, Matt! I liked it when you switched camera views, such as panning it towards the window, then towards the cabin. It reminded me of JustPlanes.

Dontcha just HATE when they talk during the engine start. I always like it when they do the annc. before pushback. :-)

This is not a full throttle video

Giulio they rarely ever are... the only time you will hear a true "full throttle" video is when there isn't an empty seat on the plane and the tanks are topped off, and not even then. Remember, during takeoff, each engine has to have roughly 1/4 more thrust available in the event of an engine failure after V1.

Incredible work my friend!! Awesome engine sound as well!! This has to be one of the best AirTran flight videos I've seen along with the departure from Bradley with ATC. If you don't mind, why were you heading to Atlanta and what seat was this?
