I miss the Chuck & Joe era of Sunday morning tv.
My 1965 Bel Air GMPP 454 HO with cam, intake and other upgrades, dynoed at 558. Full manual TCI th400 super street fighter 10" converter, 3.73's Flowmaster super 44's 100% stock suspension without any upgrades on regular 275/60 radial T/A's went consistent low 12.90's. Once it pop through the carb and it acted like traction control and went a 12.60!
Hopefully we get the projects soon regarding the 1994 Honda Civic getting a larger donor engine and the '69 Chevelle getting a 502 big block

Not really! depends on the combination. For one thing that's a heavy boat. Easy 4,000+ pounds
A 4000+ pound barge and a 3.50 gear doesn't help with acceleration. Toss a 4.11 gear in it and it will definitely perk up. Also the 502 was 502hp at the flywheel. Front drive and drive line parasitic losses are probably 20-30% so 350-400 to the tire is an probably a close horsepower number. Which translates to mid to high 12s in the quarter.
You do realize this episode is probably over 20 years old, right?
