Yugioh GX was my favourite, It had loads of character development from many characters such as chazz, Syris, Zane and of course Jaden. This is what the first season was missing. Then i think 5ds went too overboard with everything introducing duel runners and the fact that if your duel runner crashes it’s a DNF duel. Also GX tackles real problems in real life like depression and even shows how Jaden, one of the most happy people in the show ever, is easily succumbed to depression due to the loss of his friends and all the guilt he felt. If you haven’t watched the sub of gx I don’t think you will LOVE gx but if you have you should understand why it’s the best series. It tackles problems like the meaning of life too, like when Jaden questions what he is doing becomes depressed and eventually vs yugi to find out that the game is about enjoyment and not power or destruction. I feel like Yugioh GX is the only series to actually put the fact that Yu-Gi-Oh! Is a game to be enjoyed and no matter what hardships you go through in life, you should keep your head high and maybe even use Yu-Gi-Oh! To stay away from depression. Well this is why I think it’s the best series anyways. Edit: I'm also talking about the SUBBED version, which is 100x better than the dub of gx, if you watch gx in sub you will understand how good it is
Synchro requires Acceleration in anime..So duel runners were necessary especially for accel synchronisation...Ive watch both 5ds is bit more serious at some times it is interesting...
I agree but after season 1 everything was just about saving the world and duels weren't fun anymore (of course with exceptions) and Jaden stop working out his relationship with his friends like Chazz, Alexis, Bastion and even syrus.I think that season 1 was the best because the duels were fun and Jaden actually talked to his friends
My personal favourite is Zexal. Thought it does start slow, it has many fun characters and one the most intriguing storylines in the franchise. It is also a good introduction to the Yugioh TCG too, since the first few episodes are focused on slowly and steadily explaining the rules of the game from scratch (something that previous series did not do, for some reason).
Zexal was the first season i followed costantly as a kid and when i watched It recently i found some problems in It (i can't stand Yuma for example) but i liked jt
5d's was my first series, and i heard some of my friends online say it was terribe, so i always assumed that my enjoyment of it was just nostalgia. Glad to now some people consider it the best of Yu-Gi-Oh!
@@MatheusRodrigues-he5fn Exactky yugioh back then was about being a bad ass spell caster or wizard with mystic roots from the real world. Plus yea the pharaoh victory theme is otherworldly
I haven't finished Zexal yet, but its becoming one of my favorite series so far (of the first 4). I love Yugioh as a whole, and it's my favorite Anime series of all time. It also definitely succeeded in selling the product it was advertising. I love playing and watching Yugioh.
Duel Monsters introduced me to Yu Gi Oh. Didn’t care about Yu Gi Oh that’s until I watched 5Ds. I recently started watching GX & so far I’m pretty into it. Don’t care for the rest of the series it does not look appealing to me.
Just finished watching the dark signers arc of 5DS for the first time and MAN was i surprised! By far THE best YGO Anime! Loved the Shakespeare esque arc of carly and jack! My fav character Arc in ygo!
In my opinion GX, Especially the last 2 seasons, so deep and so dark. Darker then the skin of my sleep demon, and that’s something🧐 Judai has become so bad ass. But still duel monsters and 5ds are my other favourites AND ONLY ONES. This yugioh dimension is the best. These will ever be the top 3.
Yugioh is the Best, it feels much more dark and gritty than three New series. The monsters look much better and original not like now where they have run out of ideas. I miss the egyptian theme and city
@@dolphinpower1107 not really. They all do the same in terms of dark themes. Amon graham wanted to kill his younger brother in GX...😂 I mean come on now, I doubt half of y’all even watch the shows. Instead just bitch and call them bad!
@@californiacrook7828 I wasn't really bitching about the shows just pointing out how the original doesn't have the darkest themes like ARC has terrorism while Zexal had a full on race war I'm not saying the original doesn't have dark themes.
Yeah i like an edgy teenager playing games with people killing them in the process which makes it an bootleg copy of russian roulette but more risky (reffering to toei version of yugioh which is season 0)
1. GX - the best cast in YGO in my opinion 2. Zexal - Obviously the second half is awesome, but I also liked the first half. Yuma reminded me a lot of a younger me still learning how to play, and that endeared him to me in the first part of the show. 3 - TIED - 5DS and Vrains - I like these two shows about the same, they were both very good, but really dragged at some spots 5. DM - Why would I ever rewatch this show when the manga is RIGHT THERE and so much better? 6. ARC-V - God this show was a mess.
One thing that's always kind of bothered me is why does yugi need yami to duel for him he could do it on his own I feel like yuma needed astral to guide him cause he stunk at dueling and he needed to be good for this situation
1.Yugioh 5ds (pretty much same reasons) i adore this one 2.yugioh duel monsters (It was good but it has some tiny problems) 3.yugioh gx I got made problems with this season BUT its probably the most charming season no question 4.yugioh arc v once again its charm and i like pendulum menchicnc however it is a mess of a show but damn was it an entertaining mess 5. yugioh zexel its not that good but it has strong moments i would put this higher but its the first yugioh that kinda bored me at some points 6 yugioh vrains one word yusaku he kinda ruined the show for me
Funny enough I think duel monsters is one of the worst series. Very boring and bland and anytime the seal of orichalcos is mentioned it’s one of the worst arcs and duels in the series. Battles make no sense and don’t have a ton of depth. Idk had more fun watching zexal because it had a big anime vibe. I think it was good for it’s time but hasn’t aged well at all.
@@TheGingerlie I knew it, Duel Monsters is too based for your waifu cringe pend deck, I had a feeling that's why some stayed away from duel monsters, I just rewatched season 4 & realized just how dark it was, everyone losing their soul left & right...
Hey, first of all good video, I'm currently watching YU-GI-OH GX and i love it but i can't find the final season (s04) anywhere, i know it never got translated in english but i couldn't find an english sub version either, can you help me out?
I just finished the dark signer arc for the first time and man I was blown away. Coming from gx, It felt like a actual anime and I loved it. Jack and yusei we're awesome and I love their characters so much even if their pretty corny in some regards. I also loved Carly and Jack's relationship; I felt like they really completed each other and I love the optimism that Carly brings to Jack's life ❤️💪
@@n00b831 yeah that might seem ridiculous, but my brother got one of his monsters to 150k before he destroyed my spell card stopping him from attacking me and obliterated me.
i was looking for video and reading comments cuz i want to watch other series of yugioh. im glad there is a divided opinion on across all series as i currently wanted too try all of them.
Now do Yu-Gi-Oh movies ranking. Here's my ranking for them: 3. Pyramid of light. This movie is really just a mediocre episode that would've been better as just a straight to DVD movie. 2. Bonds beyond time. This movie felt like Spiderman no way home before Spiderman no way home was conceived and plus the Villian was much better written with better stakes. 1. Dark side of dimensions Absolutely the best Yu-Gi-Oh movie since it comes from the creator and it's a sequel to the manga. Everything from the Villians to duels it truly felt like the ultimate Yu-Gi-Oh experience.
oh yes of course. fillers or not they are still a part of the show. at least thats how i see it. all of them should be watched but the main one to look at is waking the dragons its just too good.
Only Waking the Dragons and the Zigfried filler The Noah arc came outta nowhere and didnt progress the series in any way. The Capsule Monster was just retarded and should never have existed in the first place.
I watched GX. I stopped after the shadow riders and kagemaru part. I will say that there is potential for that but it felt a bit rushed. The vampire duel was my favourite part but I did not like how they give Jaden plot items for them to have a one time use, like his amulet he got from another dimension and the philosopher's stone (the philosopher's stone was fine to have as a one time thing tho). I also did not like the part where they seem to beat the big bad and keep their keys (WHICH CAN ONLY BE LOST IN A DUEL) which then get stolen and the final boss comes in for a fight. Everything before that was ok but there was also the issue of the classes themselves. Why the hell are they learning alchemy? So it felt weird for a school even if the whole point was to have good duelists
I grew up on the original and GX, but my favorite is Zexal because it came out when I actually started playing the TCG with friends. The show made Xyz summoning look so cool and it’s still my favorite summoning method. I actually like the first arc of Zexal (Pre-WDC) because we get to see Yuma develop his skills as a duelist as well as his relationship with Astral. It also has some of my favorite moments of the series, like Kite’s introduction, the reveal of Utopia Ray, and the first appearance of the ZEXAL form. The second arc before the WDC finals was really boring and had very little merit to it, but almost every episode of the WDC Finals arc was great, especially Yuma vs. Vetrix and the 3-on-1 of Yuma, Kite & Shark vs. Dr. Faker. I’m currently rewatching it and I’ve only just finished the first half of the show, so I’m looking forward to refreshing my memory of the Barian arcs.
My opinion: Arc V is better than Zexal, Yuma just remained annoying to me until the end of the series. Although I love everything else until after Duel Carnival. The Duels in Arc V is actually epic and fun specially the entertainment duel and pendulum. If you watched it on sub the soundtrack is epic. And Yuya has character development and well written. Specially when he started as this boy who duels for fun but turns out to duel out of spite and revenge. And him struggling to focus on his dueling style, because he was clouded by hatred. Then he ended being afraid of his own powers. But learned to love and care for his monsters even the other dragons. It's a pretty good concept, we don't have that since Yugi.
@@jovanisanchez3590 personally didn't like how Shark is suddenly the final villain Kaito and Viktor fits it more for me, Shark having to be the villain is just so Asspull and forced and too edgy. Plus Zexal Part 2 is 70% filler material, a lot of unnecessary duels and episodes going on.
@@foxxberry2752 One more thing. Yuya doesn't have any character development. His character actually gets worse as Arc-V goes on. Yuma does have character development in terms of his dueling skills.
GX is definitely the most nostalgic for me, with duel monsters being the 2nd most nostalgic for me, but easily the best one is 5ds. I think most of the yugioh shows are just okay or "good" anime, but nothing more. 5ds is an exception though, it's just genunely a great show.
6. DM - Apart from Dawn of the Duel, this show feels middle of the road. I also think it’s the weakest in terms of characters and pacing. 5. GX - The last two seasons are awesome, but seasons 1 & 2 contain too much bad filler and the latter is very tedious and messy, and so they drag the overall show down. 4. Vrains - Pretty alright overall. The first half was kinda dull, but the second half was decent, although I wish they didn’t recycle the same formula each season. I like the characters, even if sadly most of them were wasted potential. 3. Arc V - love its universe, characters and duels. The first two seasons were great, season 3 was a mess but most of it was fun anyway. 1. 5D’s & Zexal (tie) - most consistently entertaining and well-written series imo, with the best story arcs, characters and pacing.
Personally I like the seasons that treat the card game like a simple card game. And not some alternate dimensional headache with aliens and motorcycle races... So for me it goes Original, GX, Zexel, 4 D's, Vrains.
I haven't watched the other series besides duel monsters but I assume that it's story is better than the other. It tackles more about history and the mysteries have great depth. It has the coolest villains. In fact, Pegasus has become my most favorite villain of all time in all anime. He's just unique and I've never felt angry about all the things he had done before he was defeated by yugi. He's fun to watch and never boring. Haha
No definitely not. The last 2 seasons of GX and pretty much ALL of 5D’s have a better story and MUCH better characters than most of Duel Monsters trust me. Those 2 (GX and 5D’s) are must watches if you like the original Yu-Gi-Oh!.
My favourite is always gonna be the OG, GX and 5Ds. Season 3 of 5Ds killed the momentum for me tbh and I feel they could have done more but overall these 3 yu gi ohs are the ones I love. Watching Zexal (hoping is as good as the previous) and then at some point Arc V but the OG. Still love them all 3😊
Imo: 1. DM. Ofc part of it is because of the nostalgia, but I think all characters, both the card players and non players, are described nicely. I keep see people complained about Yugi's sudden character development, but at the same time it's not surprising considering how he always build deck together with Yami and basically involved in the game. Also, it's fascinating to see how the game came from quite messy in Duelist Kingdom to be properly amazing in Battle City. 2. 5Ds. I like Yusei a lot, and I think he has the least plot armor among all protagonists. The storyline in 5Ds is also very solid, although the legend of the dragon is quite funny imo. 3. GX. The campest YGO series out of all lmao. So many weird characters here, especially Chronos. I know it's funny to see how Judai went from being funny boy next door to badass and frustated man bc of card game, but his character development is the best. The ending is also super perfect, like he regains his love for playing card again. 4. VRAINS. It has the same atmosphere as 5Ds, which is serious but still enjoyable, although I gotta say Yusaku has the most plot armor among all protags, like he literally always pulls amazing cards when he's cornered and he mastered all summoning methods, also almost all of his mosters have special effect. 5. ZeXal. I love the world building in this series, but didn't really like the protag and the blatant resemblance of Yuma and Astral's interactions to YGO OG. Still, XYZ summoning method has to be the most amazing one beside ritual for me. 6. Arc-V. Only like the nostalgic vibe in this anime, the core of the anime itself is messy, and I don't like the protagonist. I haven't watch Rush and Go Rush bc I find both awful from the snippets, actually I drop Rush after 4 episodes bc I can't take it anymore.
OG Yu-Gi-Oh and GX are the the 2 best seasons. Everything after that just gets ridiculously absurd. Call me what you wish, but I preferred the old way of dueling personally.
Arc V has more like 140 great episodes. Really, only the last 8 episodes were bad. Maybe some of the Xyz dimension episodes were a little weak, but I'll take that over anything from the first like 100 episodes of Zexal.
I hated ARC-V because of the Action Duels. It's so annoying how there are Quick-Play spell cards scattered across the field and you can run around to get them.
Tbh, one big factor to the quality of the series is the main cast, side cast, and any filler characters for filler episodes. 5DS takes the cake for just how many side characters stand out and play an active role in Season 1. Everyone is memorable, likable, and fun to root for. And everyone plays a part and ITS SO RARE TO SEE THAT IN ANIME GENERAL. Zexal to me loses a lot of points because outside of Shark, Kite, Astral and Anna (yes Anna is amazing) everyone else is useless. Like even Tori. And thats disappointing when Alexis and Akiza have done amazing jobs being the female character who’s active and kicks ass.
1: I totally agree and also the characters suck but then when dimensions happened and they jump here and there and cameos it is allot better. Yuya imo is a total idiot, I personally never liked pendulum summoning 2: zexal was ok but I liked how the spirit was in his necklace it reminded me of the original, the summoning X-seeds was interesting but I don't use it a lot. Yuma was also a very annoying character for me that I feel LOST more duels then he won but he does get better as a character. 3: I would disagree cause it was the first series and the rules of 8000 LP, laying traps for 1 turn before activation & sacrificing monsters wasn't introduced yet in the manga or irl until season 2 but there are boring duels that even I skip over. Battle city was a great season but cause it was so hyped and people spoiled a few duels for me it is my least favorite tbh. I felt the virtual world arc was just a pitstop and felt it should have happened after battle city on the way back home or something like that cause it also felt like a filler tbh. I liked the following filler seasons after battle city (WTD and KCGC) and the final season Dawn of the Duel which had to tell the story of the pharaohs past only with an alt ending where he defeats orc not just seals him away. 4: I enjoyed it after getting to know Jayden but at the same time I didnt like his character cause he's a total idiot and more of an airhead I feel. I liked how it had a lot of dark themes in the series though and there were a lot of duels I really enjoyed even some fillers, but there was some I just had to skip over like when Jayden disappeared after losing to Phoenix for 30 episodes and I was like WTF get ur ass back in the academy u moron. I wish they finished the series in dubbed 5: 5D's was my 2nd fav but I LOVED it cause the introduction of the characters followed by the story after 15 episodes or so about what Goodwin wants and also what I really loved about the series was it had all the original cast back but in different roles. I love how this series actually took time to EXPLAIN each of the characters backstories, Luna and Leo though I felt got the short end of the stick though tbh cause we never met their parents. season 2 was amazing and cause it had each of the characters face off against people against them friend turned foe or people they didnt know about or that they ignored and they had to come to terms with the truth but also show that they aren't to blame for certain things outside of their ignoring of what's in front of them. One thing I didnt like people complaining about was the duels on bikes, I went back and rewatched the series and goes what there r just as many duels on the ground then there are on motorcycles There is one thing I will say about all these series that i DONT like and I find its discrimination is that all the girls in all the series have little to no duels and they all end up losing with the exception of Tea who won her 1 or 2 duels. The only other girl that actually rocked was Akiza and she actually WON most of her duels but then after the battle against the the thunder gods I feel like they screwed her over and kicked her out of the show as well as took away her powers. Alexis is an obelisk blue yet she is made to look like a pushover after season 1 and even in arc V she loses her duels, seriously what the hell.
Sooo, please don't judge me but my favorite series is Arc-V. Not because of the series, it's because of pendulum summoning, design and characters. The manga is... Ugh I don't know.
7. Sevens (N/A) 6. Arc V (Synchro Arc was WAY TOO LONG,XYZ and Fusion arcs rushed,Battle Beast, baby reira worst arcs, very rushed and badly ended) 5. VRAINS (The characters weren’t interesting enough and a lot of the drama feels really forced,The world is boring, the AI world is even more boring. When you have that and the recaps happening every so often, AND you add annoying characters like that Brave Max guy hogging even more screentime, delaying the plot, you're in for a painful slog a lot of the time.) 4. DM (Some of the arcs are really interesting, like Duelist Kingdom, Battle City Finals and Ancient Egypt, but others are incredibly boring: the 2 virtual world arcs, The Kaiba Grand Prix, even The Orichalcos arc - it was WAY TOO LONG! Most of the main cast, like Tristan, Serena, Téa etc barely do anything for the entire show.) 3. Zexal (While it has a slower start, it becomes really good after the introduction of the Arclights. The Number Club were useless for the most part, but the rest of the cast is great. Vector is a fantastic antagonist! The Barian Onslaught arc was great!) 2. GX (The characters are well written, and entertaining, and the duels are very well done. The shift from every day school to dark elements onward and judai's growth was nice. Issues I have with the show are that a lot of the cast get shafted by the end, and Judai basically glory hogs and steals their fire, beating everyone's personal demons for them. There is also a lot of filler adding nothing much but memes, and some of it tends to interfere with the current villain arc at times.) 1.5D’s (Great plot for the most part, the characters are such a joy to watch, the duels are interesting and most of the villains are good, especially the Dark Signers.)
As someone who has watched all but didn't finished Zexal & Vrains, i can confidently say: Yu-Gi-Oh Gx > 5Ds > Duel Monsters > Arc V > the rest The original definitely has it's charms but a lot of asspull and plot armor that protected Yami Yugi stains the show a little bit just like how Yusei is the most boring character in his own series. Gx has the best character development and E Hero is my favourite archetype so my answer might be biased.
Zexal is the best imo only because, yuma's character is amazing and the villains are the best in my opinion. So in my opinion Zexal is way to underrated
um they wont. yugioh is a series advertising the card game meaning they wont be back to duel monsters since they already ended the series and they add new summoning methods to each series so that means new protagonists. also you shouldnt just stick to your nostalgia sometimes. check out Gx and zexal you might enjoy them.
@@kingbaldwiniv1372 Probably cause your personality didn't relate to the main characters of gx and 5ds atleast, you want seriousness but has yugioh always been serious in every moment of each episode? no it hasn't, I've enjoyed yugioh to gx , and 5ds and it was good. all series have their cons though, can't always stick to nostalgia though, gotta get in with the new, have curiosity for more mindfulness of things.
@@jayxcv5409 I recently watched all Yugioh series for the first time except for Season 0 and Sevens so i dont have any nostalgia blinding me but i still feel like the original was the best. 5ds would be first if they didnt give up the cult theme from season 1-2. I get that they had to distance themselves from cults because of an irl scandal but its still a shame. And Arc-V would probaly be first if wasnt so eager to destroy itself... i have no idea who shat the writers of Arc-V in the head after episode 70 something. As for the other series i liked Vrains but it felt rushed cause it literaly dropped like 20 plotpoints and killed almost every character off screen last season. GX was nice except for the last season that just felt like an eternity to watch. And Zexal.... i watched it dubbed because i couldnt find it subbed and it was Ok i guess, I honestly dont know what to say about Zexal it just was realy forgetable to me.
This is actually so funny lol I watch all your survivor videos and had no idea you were into yugioh. I look up a ranking of the series and your list is the one that appears. Didn't even realize it was you until I heard your intro
ZERO IS THE BEST, also why would you see “only 26 episodes” as a negative? The mass majority of anime’s are way way wayyyyy too long, I love me a contained piece
Arc-V was honestly terrible. Makes rhe fiest few episodes of Zexal look like a God send. Definitely had interesting but wasted characters, the ending was underwhelming, Zarc's reborn design was just a crocodile dragon hybrid furry, they should've kept the original. Honestly just a wasted series.
Yugioh Duel Monsters, Battle City Arc was the best. Couldn't stand Jaden to make it through GX, and thought 5ds was trying too hard to be edgy. Never watched Zexal, and im just so starting Arc-V
am i the only one who thought them bringing charcaters like jack and crow into arc v was a terrible idea they had their series can this just be its own thing

@@kamelali9739 short and the subject it was built off was not to my liking. Link Vrains is basically ready player one/digital interspace. The clothing and designs were also odd, which is a damn shame because I thought the real world scenes looked fantastic in Vrains.
My Own favorite Yugioh Series Ranking list: 1: 5DS 2: DM 3: GX 4: ARC-V I think that 5DS is overall the best in the series enough it's only the first season that was the most remarkable because of it's more mature gritty tone i did enjoy. I personally preferred DM a lot more over than GX because DM at least felt like there was a lot to it with it's character development than GX had cause GX in it's entirety seems like it was more focused on Jaden than any of it's other cast and has too mush pointless filler. it was really only until season 3 and 4 where the story got interesting that made it worth watching but still overall the show was pretty slim and mediocre compared to DM and 5DS in my opinion. ARC-V is probably the only post trilogy of the series that i really liked. I find it's story to be intriguing than Zexal and Vrains which are both the worst in the series from my point of view sure ARC-V does has some flaws having a slow start but if you give it a chance the part were the Dimension Invasion happens is where it gets engaging and has some epic moments that feels almost as on pair.
Unpopular opinion: og Yu-Gi-Oh! And 5ds are.... meh. I really tried to get into 5ds but I just couldn’t. Funny enough though I started watching arc v and cannot stop myself
IMO everything after 5Ds is a massive dumpster fire. I used to shit on it so bad until I actually watched it and realized how great it is and that Card Games on Motorcyles didn't seem so mind numbingly ridiculous anymore. Yusei even became my favorite Yugioh character with Crow and his Blackwings closing in second.
My opinion : The original Yu-gi-oh and GX are the best 5ds is the reason why i stopped watching yugioh but i saw the newest versions it's worse than ever unfortunately
Mine tier list: 1. 5ds 2. Zexal 3. Dm 4. Gx 5. ARCV Gx is probably the most overrated shit ever. For most people is just fucking shit nostalgia. Come on, be real. ZeXal (2nd half) in japanese version is pretty darn good!
honestly what makes me dislike zexal as a series isn't the story rather the characters kinda suck legit believe the only character that could even be considered Yuma's friend is Alit who was the first Barian Yuma encounters and I say this cause he was just a fun duelist in general someone who actually has that duelist spirit even though he is Yuma's enemy oh and shark just sucked in season 3 "oh I must destroy all of astral world and kill every one of my friends cause it is my destiny" that unironically made me believe that Vector was a better character than sha- sorry Nasch because Vector after the twist reveal wasn't hiding the fact that he just is evil and in the subbed version you realize that Vector didn't even want to kill Nasch just cause he doesn't like him cause he felt it was petty and he legit made an entire counter of how many times Nasch pissed him off and when it got to 1 million then he would kill him and in all honestly when shark.... I mean Nasch legit did a 180 after he learned of his origins and tried to kill Yuma ( actually killing many characters along the way) It starts to make sense why Vector legit did that to him as it is believable. Honestly what makes me dislike Yugioh zexal so much is the similarities with Yugioh are so apparent that I couldn't ignore them galaxy eyes dragon (blue eyes/red eyes ya get it by now), number 96 legit being an evil version of astral (Bakura), and astral having a final duel with Yuma at the end of the entire series after he had gained all numbers (and by that logic all of his *memories* ) just like Atem with Yugi.
i love the fillers in GX, makes the school feel real
TBH During watching the 94th episode of GX i watching the clip from 5D's.. the next day? straight up Watching 5D's :v
The only anime filler and dragon Ball z/super I'll ever watch.
The filler are just because of this the best arc.realistic in some way.
I love the duel monsters filler as well
On the real GX was the most relatable and realistic series
No joke I skipped to the end, saw 5Ds was first, and said *out loud*
“saw that coming”
5ds was very good
Why do you know da wae
Can you tell me the order to watch them I finished duel monsters but idk the chronological order?
@@charli3nyc Duel Monsters, GX, 5ds, Zexal, ArcV, Vrains
I atcally newer luked 5 up i thoght it was boring
Yugioh GX was my favourite,
It had loads of character development from many characters such as chazz, Syris, Zane and of course Jaden.
Dm > gx
Gx is really good and probably on par with 5ds but to me it just never gets as good as Zexal.

The biggest twist in all of the series is that Bandit Keith is actually Canadian
What? But he lives IN AMERICA?!
WAIT WHAT
B-but his catch phrase is "IN AMERICA!"

1. GX - the best cast in YGO in my opinion

The Noah arc came outta nowhere and didnt progress the series in any way. The Capsule Monster was just retarded and should never have existed in the first place.
@@SiNKarnage capsule monsters is just a 4 kids show made it Is not canon
Whattt you didn’t like the dawn of the duel arc? That was my fav arc of the series!
You do realize that Arc-V had a bad ending whereas Zexal had a good ending.
@@foxxberry2752 Another thing I should point out that Yuma has character development whereas Yuya had character derailment.
@@foxxberry2752 One more thing. Yuya doesn't have any character development. His character actually gets worse as Arc-V goes on. Yuma does have character development in terms of his dueling skills.
From Zexal and onwards, how should I watch those series? Sub or dub?
GX is definitely the most nostalgic for me, with duel monsters being the 2nd most nostalgic for me, but easily the best one is 5ds. I think most of the yugioh shows are just okay or "good" anime, but nothing more. 5ds is an exception though, it's just genunely a great show.
Zexal has become my personal favorite yugioh series, I love the barians and the characters (minus yuma's friends)

Still love them all 3😊
Imo:

Yu gi oh GX is the GOAT
Glad I'm not the only Anna fan out there. Literally made a modern version of her deck in master duel. Love Anna 👍
Ah, I See You're a Man of Culture As Well
I think Zexal is the best, but that’s just me.
ur not alone
1: I totally agree and also the characters suck but then when dimensions happened and they jump here and there and cameos it is allot better. Yuya imo is a total idiot, I personally never liked pendulum summoning
2: zexal was ok but I liked how the spirit was in his necklace it reminded me of the original, the summoning X-seeds was interesting but I don't use it a lot.
I wish they finished the series in dubbed
5: 5D's was my 2nd fav but I LOVED it cause the introduction of the characters followed by the story after 15 episodes or so about what Goodwin wants and also what I really loved about the series was it had all the original cast back but in different roles. One thing I didnt like people complaining about was the duels on bikes, I went back and rewatched the series and goes what there r just as many duels on the ground then there are on motorcycles
There is one thing I will say about all these series that i DONT like and I find its discrimination is that all the girls in all the series have little to no duels and they all end up losing with the exception of Tea who won her 1 or 2 duels.
I was there for the original YGO. But 5Ds was my favourite overall. Stories, characters, the cards. It was all perfect.
Hard to follow? I felt like arc-v and 5ds had the best duels out of them all.

1.Zexal
7. Sevens (N/A)
6. Arc V (Synchro Arc was WAY TOO LONG,XYZ and Fusion arcs rushed,Battle Beast, baby reira worst arcs, very rushed and badly ended)
5. VRAINS (The characters weren’t interesting enough and a lot of the drama feels really forced,The world is boring, the AI world is even more boring. When you have that and the recaps happening every so often, AND you add annoying characters like that Brave Max guy hogging even more screentime, delaying the plot, you're in for a painful slog a lot of the time.)
4. Most of the main cast, like Tristan, Serena, Téa etc barely do anything for the entire show.)
3. Zexal (While it has a slower start, it becomes really good after the introduction of the Arclights. The Number Club were useless for the most part, but the rest of the cast is great. Vector is a fantastic antagonist! The Barian Onslaught arc was great!)
2. There is also a lot of filler adding nothing much but memes, and some of it tends to interfere with the current villain arc at times.)
1.5D’s (Great plot for the most part, the characters are such a joy to watch, the duels are interesting and most of the villains are good, especially the Dark Signers.)
As someone who has watched all but didn't finished Zexal & Vrains, i can confidently say:
Yu-Gi-Oh Gx > 5Ds > Duel Monsters > Arc V > the rest
The original definitely has it's charms but a lot of asspull and plot armor that protected Yami Yugi stains the show a little bit just like how Yusei is the most boring character in his own series. Gx has the best character development and E Hero is my favourite archetype so my answer might be biased.
I like your option nearly as same as me

Vrains is finished since September 2019 in Japan. The dub is still ongoing tho.
GX and 5DS are among my favorites, but there is nothing quite like the original Yugioh series.

Zexal is the best imo only because, yuma's character is amazing and the villains are the best in my opinion. So in my opinion Zexal is way to underrated
Finally!!! Someone put in top 2 GX and 5DS first! Thank you god!
Duel monsters started it all I haven’t seen much past it everything else seems weird bring back duel monsters and the original gameplay
um they wont. yugioh is a series advertising the card game meaning they wont be back to duel monsters since they already ended the series and they add new summoning methods to each series so that means new protagonists. also you shouldnt just stick to your nostalgia sometimes. check out Gx and zexal you might enjoy them.
@@theninjagamer1 i checked them they were shit
@@kingbaldwiniv1372 Well that's your opinion a lot of people (including me) really enjoy them.

I recently watched all Yugioh series for the first time except for Season 0 and Sevens so i dont have any nostalgia blinding me but i still feel like the original was the best.
I never was able to get into 5Ds. The idea of a card game being played on motorcycles is just too silly
'mimic the yugi and yami relationship', yuma and astral's relationship was so much better than that dogshit
My favourite is zexal but I’m probably biased because I watched zexal every morning before school and it’s hella nostalgic
1 through 4 will always be my picks, the rest can go ahead and do their own things that won’t peak my interest
Yugioh Duel Monsters, Battle City Arc was the best. Couldn't stand Jaden to make it through GX, and thought 5ds was trying too hard to be edgy. Never watched Zexal, and im just so starting Arc-V
I grew up with Arc-V, but the ranking is:
1) DM
2) 5ds
3) Arc V
4) Zexal
5) the others
how young are you to have grown up with arc v?
Thank you
How this mans ginna put zexal in front of Arc V
Yu-Gi-Oh lost da wae lol
@@sansxariel3869 Yu-Gi-Oh lost da wae lol
am i the only one who thought them bringing charcaters like jack and crow into arc v was a terrible idea they had their series can this just be its own thing
Me: YOU FORGOT ONE
TheMeranianReview: What.?
Me: ABRIDGED SERIES!
TheMeranianReview: OH NO..NOOO!
Abridged Fans:
I came here to find another YuGiOh Series is better after watching 5D.... turns out 5D's might be the last yugioh series i've ever watched.. Once you watch 5D's.. you could never replaced the standards :(((
Vrains was good too ❤
@@kamelali9739 short and the subject it was built off was not to my liking. Link Vrains is basically ready player one/digital interspace. The clothing and designs were also odd, which is a damn shame because I thought the real world scenes looked fantastic in Vrains.
@@kamelali9739 Stop lying bruh, the writers were having a drinking game with that series and ended up empty-handed
I would switch 3 and 4. I know its the original but jesus there is 3 filler arcs that weren't that interesting.
My Own favorite Yugioh Series Ranking list: 1: 5DS 2: DM 3: GX 4: ARC-V
I think that 5DS is overall the best in the series enough it's only the first season that was the most remarkable because of it's more mature gritty tone i did enjoy.
Funny because I love Arc V a lot due to my joy of 5ds
Zexal will always be my favourite. No doubt
yea bro zexal is love
5ds > Vrains > GX > Zexal > Dm > Arc V
IMO everything after 5Ds is a massive dumpster fire. I used to shit on it so bad until I actually watched it and realized how great it is and that Card Games on Motorcyles didn't seem so mind numbingly ridiculous anymore. Yusei even became my favorite Yugioh character with Crow and his Blackwings closing in second.
1. Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters
2. Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal
3. Yu Gi-Oh GX
4. Yu-Gi-Oh ArcV
5. Yu- Gi-Oh 5Ds
Saad Sheikh 5ds the badest? Really its the best Series with best Charakters
i really need answers my guy
Camron G I disagree with 5DS, GX definitely deserves bottom spot
@@justblaze1656 what are u disagring with because i believe 5ds shouldnt be at the bottom
@@camrong5680 Yu-Gi-Oh DM is better
My opinion :
The original Yu-gi-oh and GX are the best
5ds is the reason why i stopped watching yugioh
but i saw the newest versions
it's worse than ever unfortunately
Mine tier list:
1. 5ds
2. Zexal
3. Dm
4. Gx
5. ARCV
Gx is probably the most overrated shit ever. For most people is just fucking shit nostalgia. Come on, be real.
ZeXal (2nd half) in japanese version is pretty darn good!
Gx in japanese is way better
Actually all of yugioh in japanese is better
I think zexal does the best job at following the rules
Except when plot happens
If you yugioh ain’t #1 in your ranking ur a new gen lmao
had alot of favourite anime and yugioh is pretty good, not my top 10.
My rankings
1. Yugioh
2. Yugioh GX
3. Yugioh 5DS
4. Yugioh ARC-V
5. Yugioh zexal
Same as me 🙂
Yu-Gi-Oh lost da waeee
Hell na zexal is superior
honestly what makes me dislike zexal as a series isn't the story rather the characters kinda suck legit believe the only character that could even be considered Yuma's friend is Alit who was the first Barian Yuma encounters and I say this cause he was just a fun duelist in general someone who actually has that duelist spirit even though he is Yuma's enemy oh and shark just sucked in season 3 "oh I must destroy all of astral world and kill every one of my friends cause it is my destiny" that unironically made me believe that Vector was a better character than sha- sorry Nasch because Vector after the twist reveal wasn't hiding the fact that he just is evil and in the subbed version you realize that Vector didn't even want to kill Nasch just cause he doesn't like him cause he felt it was petty and he legit made an entire counter of how many times Nasch pissed him off and when it got to 1 million then he would kill him and in all honestly when shark....
"making things up as they go" ... yeah, if it wasnt for Kaiba, the original series would be my #4
