I feel like Aki’s loss to Team Unicorn should be a win based on your rules for tag duels. If someone’s life hits 0, but their partner wins, you count it as a win. Similarly, this was a team duel against Team Unicorn. Team 5Ds won as a whole.
Not only that but the only reason she lost said duel was some Yusei could finish it. There were about 8 different ways for her to win with the cards in her hand but the writers didn't want to utilize them because Yusei didn't get his screentime yet. I personally wouldn’t have a problem with a female lead. I always wished Aki got more duels, but it is what it is.
Nope. it's a fact women cant reach the same level of competition of men. Dont dulude yourself into thinking otherwise. Leave the childrens card games to the pros.
Alexis and Akiza are definately the best of them all. Would be nice if we got to see them battle it out with Alexis getting a few Snychros for her Cyber Angels to even the playing field a bit.
I think it’s kind of fitting that Celina and Alexis who are both Duel Academy representatives who are basically in school to LEARN to duel are the ones who have the better win ratio. I guess Duel Academy just proving that going to school furthers your career goals in dueling.

Akiza will always be my favorite of the female characters. She was so cool and badass, and I really liked her story. She also seemed like the least "damsel in distress" character.
Speaking of female characters, I loved Ishizu in DM. I wish she had a greater role in the story. I like Marik as a villain but it could have been nice to see Ishizu so willing to protect her brother that she would stole his Milennium Rod to stop his connection with dark spirit and take on the role herself, becoming the main villain in the process. Also she looked really cool and the Gravekeepers are a fun archetype to play in Duel Links.
Thing is, Ishizu never played Gravekeepers in the series. None of the Ishtars did. Ishizu's deck was Earth-Attribute Fairy-Type monsters of very strange appearances, and her strategy was a sort of bait-and-switch decks and graveyards. It was a different type of strategy than anyone else had, and if she'd been a bit more featured dueling (she was a Battle City finalist, after all, but we never saw her duels prior to the Battle City finals), her stats could've been more fleshed out. The only duel Ishizu ever actually played on-screen was her Battle City Semi-Final match against Seto Kaiba, which she lost. She only had one featured duel, therefore a 0% win ratio on-screen, though that was only because Kaiba was saved by the plot armor of his connection to the Blue-Eyes White Dragon spirit warning him of Ishizu's trap, which counts in-universe because it's heavily relevant to his character and the plot. The story's narration and Ishizu's reputation (even Yami Marik was somewhat wary of her, until she gave away her Millennium Necklace) strongly suggests she's a very potent duelist. However, on screen, yeah, she has a 0% win stat. Her voice actor's YCS duel against Joey's voice actor and Red-Eyes Deck with a Gravekeeper's Deck was a lot of fun to watch, though.
To be fair, it's kind of easy to overlook her. She's typically overshadowed by Tea (being the main female lead, and getting the most screen time) and Mai, who was a pretty prominent character in a couple of seasons in the series. Rebecca was mostly sidelined during the waking the dragons arc, and the bulk of her duels were in the grand championship tournament arc just before the last arc of the series.
@@sargentjacob1 Yeah, she honestly didn't do much. Like I said, Mai and Tea were both seen far more often (even if the later barely dueled once in the series), so I can see why Rebecca would be a bit more forgettable by comparison.
@@sargentjacob1 Yeah, that was her. Their duel was supposedly the exact same one as their grandfathers had played out turn for turn; Yugi surrendered to teach her about friendship (the last card he would've drawn was Soul Release, which would've won him the game if he chose to play it). She would later develop a crush on Yugi as a result of this.
Wow GX is doing really good, 2 first places and 1 second place. Love it! I still really love your lists, and the addition with the -1 for losses is very smart and enjoy that a lot I would love a main female character, surprised here hasn’t been one yet Also a “bestfriend” list would be cool. With Joey Wheeler, Jesse Anderson, Crow Hogan, haven’t watched Zexal, Arc V and Vrains so I’m not sure who fits the bill for that, but that list would be cool
Can we really count teas wins though Joey was off screen minus the last turn Mai let her win plus minus Tori the other female characters in the first list dueled more times
Anzu's only "legit" win, in the Noah Arc, came against Crump via Dark Magician Girl - and my favorite part about it is the fact Anzu had on her white-and-blue version of my favorite look of hers (white thigh-high socks with blue platform sandals)
This man went the extra mile and considered not the normal female protagonists, but also the *_edgy_* female protagonists. Now that's what I call quality content!
You Can Technically Make a Statment That Alexis or Zuzu Are Better Than Tea,Because Her Duel Against Joey in Episode 2 Wasn't Really and Official Duel,Because They Weren't Using Any Hologram System or Anything(Seriously,How Does Their Teacher Let Them Duel Right in the Middle of Class)Her Duel Against Mai,In My Opinion,Doesn't Count Because Mai Could've Won If She Didn't Forfeit. Her Duel Against Crump WAS In Fact, and Actual Duel,With the Hologram System and the Advanced Rules at the Time,So If Your Doing the Math,Besides Her Win Against Crump,In My Opinion, the Other 2 Duels Are Technically DNF's. So Tea's Duel Score Now Is: Total Duels:3 Win:1 Loss:0 Draw:0 DNF:2 Win Percentage:33.33% You Can Also Make a Case That Because Sam Doesn't Count DNF's as a Change to Their Win Percentage,So Tea's Score Would Still Be 100%,But Thta Was My Own Opinion. I Don't Think That Tea is the Best Duelist.
I thought yubel technically only had 1 duel. The others from when Jesse was possessed were like a corruption thing if I remember correctly. Like he didn't act like Yubel, he acted like evil Jesse, so I would count those as separate. Although I could be completely wrong, I only watched GX once and it was like over a decade ago.
@@givecamichips I said they ruined the pattern ( n/(n+1) ) not that they weren't simple fractions. But I guess Tea could follow the pattern if n->∞ but that breaks simplicity.
Téa had so much potential when she pummeled Joey in the beginning of the DM series, then the show runners turned about and made her and Tristan both Yugi's personal cheerleaders instead.
Its more like because Tea is not supposed to be a duelist, thats why she was sidelined on the show, in season 0, she had more role when the show wasnt just about the card game
The saddest realization for the fanbase is that Tea was best known for being a burn deck in Duel Links, which even that got taken away from her through Weevil’s Parasite/Golem deck. RIP Tea.
@@Mike_Ka-Chowski On the flipside Serenity also has a perfect w/l record like Tea... even with only 1 duel. Ishizu also probably would've beaten Kaiba if she ignored her prophecy and just direct attacked him vs. summoning a third monster (no joke the different sting of events makes it extremely hard for him to come back from.)

@@herbcruz4697 Nah, seasons 1 and 2 were great. Partially lacking direction, but hey, it's a fucking school. Every day is both the same and not the same.
Téa actually has nine offscreen duels in Episode Two. It's specifically mentioned that the duel we see her win in the episode is the tenth(!) in a row that she's beaten Joey.
I love that title but the statistics here are misleading at face value. Due to Yu-Gi-Oh being a Shonen each female lead had varying opportunity to duel and a large amount of their wins/losses were plot driven. For example Tea had to beat Joey and Crump, Asuka/Alexis had to lose to Judai/Jaden while she was in the society of light, and Aki/Akiza had to lose to Yusei both times and Andre. You'd need to put each character into a tournament with no influencing outside factors to get real workable data for this video.

Makes sense with the first list when you think about how active the characters were in the story and how kinda realistic they were in their ability to improve. They're the most realistic win percentages. Tea didn't do much but narrate, Alexis was an obelisk blue for a good reason, Akiza was a strong duelist and was kicking people's tails before protag interruption then went downhill, Tori didn't do much besides cheerlead for Yuma, and Yuzu was very willing to learn and change her deck to make it better. Didn't watch Vrains so can't comment on that, but that's the impression each female lead gave me so the list fits what I expected. I don't think Yugioh will ever do a female main protagonist because they know their target audience is mostly males, but having a female secondary protagonist with a significant part would be nice. Or a female rival.
I would LOVE to have a female protagonist just for one series! ❤ That would be awesome! Also, it would be nice if she had less female and more male cards or maybe even no human like monsters at all! 😊
@@MahouKat The few exceptions to "girl uses girl monsters because nobody else can use them" I can think of are Ishizu using Egyptian fairies, Akiza using plants, and Siegfried using valkyries and fates. Akiza has always been my favorite yugioh female duelist. Between her awesome lore and black rose I couldn’t help but fall in love with her and her deck
Another note about Yuzu! She is the only female character who tag team with a male character, the male character lost, and then she went on to win 2 VS 1. Also typically when a male and female tag team the male often seen as the offensive while the female is the support duelist. This was not the case with Yuzu.

The fact that you compared your scoring to how someone in a game is "losing platinum" or something like that means to me that anyone with a positive (more than 50%) win rate is actually really amazing. I mean, it makes Alexis (and obv the queen of supreme, the undefeated champion herself, Tea Gardner) absolutely bonkers, but the "awful" 56.25% winrate Mai has is nuts. Obviously Alexis. She's the only non-Arc V female character in the series who's actually taken seriously.
I have watched only the first 4 series and I think the only useful one was Akita (despite losing a lot of duels, which is a waste of potential honestly). Alexis had some screen time in season 1, but later in season 2 she became a side character the moment she joined those hypnotized students and in season 3 she didn’t do anything (well this season focused a lot on the students from other academies so it makes sense).
Yesss
That actually sounds awesome.
Did you know she goes on to become Kiaba’s wife

So Tea's Duel Score Now Is:
Total Duels:3
Win:1
Loss:0
Draw:0
DNF:2
Win Percentage:33.33%
You Can Also Make a Case That Because Sam Doesn't Count DNF's as a Change to Their Win Percentage,So Tea's Score Would Still Be 100%,But Thta Was My Own Opinion. I Don't Think That Tea is the Best Duelist.
I thought yubel technically only had 1 duel. The others from when Jesse was possessed were like a corruption thing if I remember correctly. As soon as I saw this I thought, Tea is the only undefeated character in the series that I can think of - it's actually a long-standing meme that she's statistically the best duelist in the franchise 😂
My girl Alexis out here proving GX is still one of the best, if not the best, series 😤
Nope, 5ds has duels on motocycles, cant comoare with that some fusions, even if i liked the cyber dragon deck a lot XD
SKRILL_ 2O but what about sexy masochist goth Zane?
GX was garbage until Season 3 (Jaden's third/final year at Duel Academy).
@@herbcruz4697 Nah, seasons 1 and 2 were great. Partially lacking direction, but hey, it's a fucking school. Every day is both the same and not the same.
@@darknessknows1235 The filler ruined GX, for me.
Jaden is the best male protagonist
Alexis is the best female protagonist
Coincidence? I think NOT!!!
and Chaze is CHAZE
CHAZE IT UP brah.
OCL 73150 CHAZZ IT UP! CHAZZ IT UP!
@@vice2792ocl Not Chazz. THE Chazz!

Me trying to ship Jaden X Alexis:NANI
Téa actually has nine offscreen duels in Episode Two. It's specifically mentioned that the duel we see her win in the episode is the tenth(!) in a row that she's beaten Joey.
I agree with you, I would like to see a more active female character or main character. It's different.
Well, too bad for Alexis, Jaden is already taken. You can thank some yandere monster spirit for that.
Zexal Manga had female main rival!!!
She was so mysterious and hot.
im reading the Zexal Manga (Currently) how good is she?
Missed a *huge* opportunity to call this, "Statistically, Who is Best Girl?"
Dylan took care of that one already so it's fine.
There's gonna be a war in the comments section with that
@@Ahloveyafuhso Akiza hands down
So? The Statistics shows us literally nothing.
Tea has 100% and Tori 0%?! Yeah, ok.
And weirdly, i dont know where these 9 Wins of Mai are meant to come from, i cannot for my life remember her winning that often.
But more importantly: Tea is hated by most Fans, and most important:
Tori dragged me though Zexal. It was such an amazingly bad show after Season 1 ended, it was ridiculous.
The Plot Holes gave me Pain in my Head and the bad Writing made my Heart hurt.
But Tori was surely the best female Character in the FRANCHISE!
She dragged me though the Show, till the end, no kidding.
Yugioh is just wasting it's potential since decades now, it's sad. And the Females are probably the BEST Example for that. It really shows a lot.
I always found that trope so strange tbh
@@MahouKat The few exceptions to "girl uses girl monsters because nobody else can use them" I can think of are Ishizu using Egyptian fairies, Akiza using plants, and Siegfried using valkyries and fates. It's actually fitting since Ishizu and Akiza are fairly serious characters while Siegfried is a massive fop.
I'd love to see statistically who the best villain in each season of each series is!
I'm just gonna guess here but ZARC would probably be #1
"Just do something different!"
Akiza is my favorite.
Blue angel aoi I thought had potential but nothing really as time went on.
Tori didn't like much.
Tea first girl and series one I always give passes on
Alexis was fun but arc v messed her up
Yuzu could have bee better if she was Serena
ivanbluecool honestly Alexis had problems in GX as well. She was killed off twice in seasons 3 and 4 while in season 2 she was brainwashed
@@michaelsegal7443 yeah I didn't like that much but that gives her and aoi something in common as blue angel died a few times and mind controll as well but Alexis was better handled even back then same as aki being able to duel a ton
Also funny is I made the joke blue angel lost every second duel see played And i was right as she always lost.
But yeah tea tori I didn't like much. Yuzu had potential and blue angel should have been better. Alexis did well enough but arc v messed her up even then as she lost a lot and Aki while losing her spot to crow still did very well end game against that blonde girl who made more issues that solve.
Akiza is my favourite for a *couple* of reasons.
@@conormurphy4328 "big personality" right. But serious she probably did the most even with major cuts to her story
ivanbluecool yea, definitely one of my favourite characters.
Tea did duel more off screen, she beat Joey like 7 times i think. So her stats are even better
Teas starts to duel
Everyone: SHES NEVER PLAYED DUEL MONSTERS!
Also Tea: literally wins every duel she plays.
Well clearly Tea 😂 she has a 100% win ratio 😂😂
She lost a few times
Negative tea is undefeated I see she never lose any duels from the original YU-GI-OH
@@JV_VALENTINE6GX594
Yugi from a distance: She's never played Duel Monsters!
He would have lost to mai but mai didnt activate her trap card in order to give hers stars to yugi
Akiza has always been my favorite yugioh female duelist. Between her awesome lore and black rose I couldn’t help but fall in love with her and her deck
Damn, GX characters are OP
Another note about Yuzu! She is the only female character who tag team with a male character, the male character lost, and then she went on to win 2 VS 1. Also typically when a male and female tag team the male often seen as the offensive while the female is the support duelist. This was not the case with Yuzu.
Never doubted my girl Alexis for a second. This was awesome!!!
Didn’t tea beat Joey several times in the beginning of yugioh (off screen)
She did. She’s actually a very skilled duelist.
yeah, I agree there's not a lot of female representation, alexis seems the most active and she's as strait as an arrow in her personality, I do feel that there should be a main female character in future series, I think it be really cool and interesting.
*straight
Romin ofc. *Sees upload date* Oh she might‘ve not been out at the time
In the dub tea beat Joey five times according to what yugi said meaning she has seven wins
Akiza is the best she is planets ahead in terms of character compared to the others
Also a red head. Don't forget the red head.
Like imagine if a yugioh card had a 56.25% play rate..that shit would find itself on the banned/limited list so fast. Mind you, Yugioh has utter nonsense like pot of greed that would have a 100% playright, but still lol
