Occult practitioner here absolutely loving this take. I appreciate the nuance of this so much. As someone who is more along the middle path something I can find frustrating by people who swear only by one approach or the other is this insistence on how only their way is the most true. When what I feel they have found the truth they needed for the whole picture. Many people who embrace the left hand had too restrictive of an earlier life, and while many on the right hand were seeking an order their earlier life lacked, I feel they are both halves of the beautiful whole of Becoming. We were never meant to be one or the other. People will obviosuly have their preferred approaches given their life experience, but the whole has always danced between both. It is very refreshing to see that perspective covered here.
@Rillivid Thanks for your feedback! I've found that to be the case the majority of the time as well. Plus, titles and labels in general can become so restricting if we're not careful. What got you interested in all of this in the first place, if you don't mind me asking?
To be pulled fully to any one side be it Left or Right will only lead to stagnation and loss of self since you don't truly take the advantage of either. The Left empowers the god within ourselves whereas the Right empowers the god exterior to ourselves and both are necessary for continuous evolution. Several traditions talk about the middle leading upward, if you focus on yourself and how you interact and relate to yourself, your family, your town/state/country, your ancestry and history you're able to compare yourself on multiple different levels that still allow you individuality while seeing what has essentially grounded everything exterior to us. Going to any extreme ultimately leads to "you" being consumed by something bigger. To the Left is the Void whereas the Right is Illumination, "you" become consumed in either or if you stray into either extreme. Awesome video as always my guy, take care 🤘🤘🤘
@HUNarutofan19 Well said! Thanks for your continued interest and engagement. It means a lot. I'm always open to suggestions if there's anything you want me to cover specifically, please let me know!
I have a question for you please. What is the best Golden Dawn book to purchase that teaches all the lessor and greater pentagon and hexagram rituals in-depth. Without errors in the directions? And which Crowley book is the most detailed on that also? Thank you!
@angelorosini4326 Hey, thanks for the questions! I don't exactly consider myself to be a Golden Dawn practitioner expert in any way. So I'm not sure I'm the one to answer that question. The Black and Green "Bricks" seem to give enough from what I can tell. But I can't guarantee ANY books without a single blind or editorial error. That's a tough one... As far as Crowley goes, perhaps look into Liber ABA? Or even Gems from The Equinox?
@qliphoth_quest thank you ya seems like blinds and or mistakes all over haha. It's best to get 3 or 4 good sources and harmonize it I guess. I appreciate it!
This makes a lot of sense to me. Thank you.
