I spent my entire morning trying to figure out why when I sculpt nails the sidewalls kept tilting upwards. This is the only video that explains matching the tip of the form to the lowest point so the sidewalls would be straight. Almost every video I've watched shows the form straight out from the nail, or the tilt is so slight that it appears straight. I love you Kirsty.
I could watch Kirsty building acrylic nails all day long. I know this will have been filmed some time ago, but I hope there’s enough nail videos already filmed to last us throughout this scary lockdown time...Fingers crossed. Stay safe Kirsty, Adam and your families too. X

I wish I could find a nail tech that did nail forms. Breaks my heart. Are used to have a nail tech in Florida. She did such beautiful nails. They look so nice.

These are so very helpful. While the process remains essentially the same, i.e. beads of acrylic forming a shape, the execution of the process evolves over time. It’s wonderful to learn new ways to boost efficiency and to streamline basic shapes.
Love the back to basics! Helps to really understand why we do things the way we do.

Definitely would love more back to basics for each nail shape! I love the art but the way you talked about the form placement and structure today is something I didn’t know and isn’t always discussed. Yes straight, yes follow the lines, but angling it down for a shorter pointy stiletto??? 😵 now I know how to try it for myself without getting ski-sloped nails.

Don't I remember hearing previously from Kirsty that you should drag across the powder and not pat?
Honestly you take these UA-camrs almost with a grain of salt.we are here for them to make $..I listen but also know everything is not true.u can experiment these techniques and see what works..I'm sure they both do.
I certainly would not pay for a course.youtube alone is enough for me to get by and practice to learn perfectly.
@@ashleygardner627 I agree with you. I've totally learned everything from just watching lots of UA-camrs but you have to beware which one's are the gold ones. Having said that, I don't think my UA-cam education would be enough to do other people's nails 💅💅

Does buffing the nail smooth prevent gel polish from sticking? I hear having a rougher surface helps with adhesion
If you pinch with your thumbs especially down the length of the nails do you not risk over exposure from not fully set product?
AllThingsKerri usually the product closest to the body sets quickest, but the surface product is a close second because of the air temperature. The bits that take longest to set are usually in the middle ☺️ (think about when you put a pie in a dodgy microwave: all the way around the outside and underneath is red hot but the middle is freezing cold lol this is similar but the opposite temperature). The bits she’s pinching are set, but it’s the layer underneath thats still setting ☺️🙆🏼♀️
