I miss my '73 'cuda 340 4spd. It was bored 030 over w/10.5:1 TRW pistons Holley 750 DPP, Street Dominator intake manifold, Blackjack headers, dual Hush Thrush, Direct Connection 4:11 rear, and more. It sounded just like this. Thanks for posting.
Such the perfect size, dare I say cute, pony car. The zenith of design. Look at that roof line. Simply superb! Bust a nut! Punch baby out on the road!!
Oh man! First of all nice Cuda. The sound reminds me of my early 20's. My buddy had an Olds 442 and it sounded like this. He worked early in the morning and I felt so bad for the neighbours every morning because it was so loud! It would just RUMBLE! Oh the memories.
Cudas are built for the quarter mile, not highway. So top end speed does not matter. It's who can get from one set of traffic lights to the next the fastest. This form of racing was most important in the 50s, 60s and early 70s. Starting in the second half of the 70s and into the 80s and beyond, cars are judged by their highway speed. Racing from traffic light to traffic light was gone along with the cars that defined that era. However, in that era, Cuda was king.
Right!?!? I had this car! Loved it so much! But I was young n dumb, such is life! Mine was mostly stock. 340- 4 on the floor, pistol grip handle. Did you have a Cuda?
This is a 74 not a 73. How do i know? The word Cuda is on the drivers side 1974 was the only year it was on the drivers side and all of the other years it is on the passenger side. This small detail still makes this car cool to own no matter the mistake. P.S. There is also a difference on the dash between the 73 and 74.
@@DIESELLBZ You are right. I have now checked out 73's and they seem to have it on the left side as well. Where did i get that idea? From watching a video of grave yard cars. So this is a 73 after all. Thanks for correcting me. So 70-71-72 it is on the right side and 73-74 on the left. I will be going to bed less stupid tonight.
You aren't stupid at all, they had so many changes from year to year nobody can keep up- including myself. I own a 73 340. They say the badge was relocated to the drivers side as a marketing move, so the CUDA logo was directly in the face of the driver behind the cuda. What is the difference between a 73 and 74 dash? That's something I did not know.
@@DIESELLBZ we learn every day even for a all make and model kind of guy. 74 dash had a seat belt or door light to the drivers right side of the dash and i believe the speedo reset knob is in a different place compared to 73 and older. Still i would not kick out of my ,,,garage a 74 defederalized (bumper nips) one or a 73. Plus if one finds a good project base, what prevents one to install 70-71 front end and CUDA tail panel and non matching anything save another one fun car to drive if you were back in the day and ordered it like you would have if your money match's the power of the pen on the doted line, wife/girlfriend approved or not.
I bought a 70 Cuda with a 340 back in 1979 when i was 16. My buddy Dave sold me his 426 hemi for $200. In the summer of 1980 someone broke into the garage i was renting to work on it. The car and motor were stolen, never got anything back, every now and then i wonder what became of it!
Beautiful old monster, love the vintage sound.

WHAT COLOR IS THIS CAR? I am going to paint my 73 Cuda and this is the color I love. Thanks
Ahhh, the last year before emission control came in and killed the Muscle car.... I miss my '68 and my '70 B-cudas!
stock 73 cuda 340 automatic would do 135 mph. That is all. They detuned for that year. I had a brand new one.
Dalton Jones . . . that is no stock 340!

Music to my ears you just can't beat Mopar

What's the song at the beginning ?
What a beautiful little 'Cuda! One major flaw; it's not mine!!!
Do cars get any cooler than this ?
+PhantomMark No Sir.
1971 Hemi Cuda'
Vilkku Eskelinen fuck yeah
@@vilkkueskelinen6039 My thoughts exactly. The 426 '71 was the best looking, especially with the twin bulge hood. In black. Perfect car.

Sexy ass car. 🔥
Nothing in ‘73 would be considered the best.
Mopar to ya.
Beautiful car but the rear spoiler is an eyesore as well as being non functional.
I was interested until I saw 340.
