- Graphics isnt the most important quality in any video game but what if you could have better performance without losing most of the eye candy?
Ok so fortunately there are a few other things you can do before spending millions of dollars for a new custom-built beast of a PC.
The tweaks will be done in the Nvidia control panel, just follow along and mimic the settings I will be providing. But the first step before changing
anything you should update to the latest Nvidia drivers as these settings will be reset upon updating.

Thanks for watching the video! See you in the next one. Peace!

thanks! started playing with the new free-play event and was going to drop the game because my frames were awful, followed your video and everything is pretty stable now! :))
Good to hear, glad it could help! Thanks for watching the video!
I upgraded from a GTX 1088 GB to an RTX 3060 12gb and I was convinced that there was not only no performance gain at all but it also felt like the game significantly ran worse on the 3060 then my 1080! But after following your tips now my FPS have increased by at least 30+ FPS. The game also runs much more smooth and also looks a lot more Crisp thanks!!
I have a 4060! I7-13 series and this gave me 12 FPS more with a full screen 1920x1080 output... for the 12 frames it made me less sick, I can now get 40-55 over the original 35-49 on a good level, This game has a long way to go seriously it does XD
Poggers vid lets go
Dude, legendary! Went from 7 to 110 consistent fps, thank you brotha!
no way you didnt
@ I did, mind you I did a lot then what is in the video and had to do all sorts updates and installs to set everything back up how it was, now I get 60-70 in lorevile and as much as 110 in deep space on salvage missions

@@coleBlap whats your specs
like to dislike ration: 💀
I followed these settings and now Star Citizen looks like Privateer 2. Is deactivating all the anti-aliasing really worth it??
Thanks :)
Not another video showing NVCP tweaks... I swear every time you mess with the settings it will make another game unstable...
You can't change graphics quality. Check console when you change settings, it does nothing as all the cvars are ignored!
Why change the global settings in Nvdia control panel when you can just select the SC.exe
Just a general performance increase for most games, but you are correct, I would recommend choosing just Star Citizen.
Just wondering why you didn't do nvidia control panel first opposed to opening the launcher changing graphics closing changing nvidia settings then going back into the game
It was just the order I made the video, as the Nvidia settings took longer to talk about. Changing the Nvidia settings then going in game is correct. Just for editing reasons, sorry for any confusion. Just hope something here helped you out, thanks for watching the video!
@@Kaines I did actually gain about 15ish fps so thank you!
I did all of these things and even so it stutters a lot. The fps itself is fine until it stutters. I don't exactly have a toaster but I dont have a fucking futuristic alien pc with a 7090 RTX TI with an I-20 processor but it can run most games at high at at least 40 fps.
This game can't be played in a hard drive. Switch to an SSD and it will help.
Get the same fps but the game is not lagging or shit like that thanks
none of this worked for me
0% perfomance boost i'm cpu bound like 99% of the playerbase
It's never actually a good idea to tell people to "update to latest graphics driver" i don't know why everyone says it including the games companies themselves. Latest driver does not mean best driver for a specific game, some older driver versions can give big performance boosts depending on the game. You should always look up which driver version is best for "whatever game you are playing"
One video full of junk info!!!
How to sacrifice quality for FPS?
Image scaling makes SC look extremely blurry even on 85%
That's why i dont't use it
Something you can potentially try is Magpie FSR if you want to scale the resolution down a bit. Basically hooks into the game letting you run it with FSR.
Obviously won't look as nice as full res, but looks WAY better than just regular resolution scaling.
Did all the recommended settings and I'm getting 20-25 fps. Up from 17fps. So yay I guess? Ryzen 5 2600x, 16gb 2666mhz ram, GeForce 1080ti.
It’s the ram, 32 GB will solve it but maybe you can still get it running at 60 with 16 GB ram
Minimum 32GB.. MINIMUM. I just upped to 64 tonight and It's still using 60% , when I had 32GB it stayed around 95% most of the time.
how did you know about my toaster !!!!
LOL dude.. everything you did was to completely give up the graphics for fps..
Ok so now your just mocking people with amd gpus? Thats kinda shameless
Not that deep bro
Doesn’t matter it’s not that bad
typical amd cry baby lol
Cry about it 😂
update: i got an nvidia gpu now and im never going back to amd their gpus are dogshit
A lot of BS in the video.
I'm not gonna hit dislike but man... It's just not good.
Thanks for not disliking! But can you elaborate on what is not good? I am actually curious for improvement. Thanks for watching!
@@Kaines hes just malding cause he has an amd gpu, dont pay attention to him
@@Kaines Quality should be High and Volumetric Clouds Off or at least Medium
