But I like heavy metal and most of the blokes (and a few of the women) who are into it look like they could take him without any trouble. I reckon I could and I'm probably about half a foot shorter than him.
I doubt he would have the courage to mouth off like that to an actual Atheist metal head, face to face, though. He's probably done a few months of a martial art and believes that he's lethal.
Unfortunately for him, though, it doesn't matter how physically powerful (or lacking in such), someone is, that has zero effect on their ability to think logically and posit good arguments. Mentally, he's like a 7 year old, at best.

I was a gothic school in Catholic school, so virtually everyone hated me (apart from my friends, my entire high school class shunned me, entirely). One of my lovely classmates was into Moonspell, and he knew he was a massive fan as well (seems his Catholic ass missed the point of the band, but okay) so he wanted to go to the Halloween concert (we’re Portuguese, this is a tradition around here, in some circles) but…he feared I’d get a metal head crowd to beat him up, as some kind of revenge plot. So afraid he was, that he got a balcony seat, so he could hide from me- and this hypothetical horde- and watch the concert from a private box.

I was a member of a very strict church and now that I look back I realize that everyone in that church was in it to save their own skin but not to become a better human being towards other people. Now that I see the hypocrisy and self-righteousness of this particular church, which by the way, it disintegrated in 1995, I have become extremely skeptical of any pastor or church. Christianity is by far one of the most contradicting, confused and hypocritical religions on the planet, not that any other religion is any better.
It's just that some religions are slightly less bad than the others.
Some of the most hypocritical Christian’s I’ve known are in my own family. It’s sickening when you hear some of their beliefs and how they hate the hypocrisy of others, but fail to see their own hatefulness.
That pastor is someone who should TRULY be on the front page of a magazine because of the giant balls that took to do. Your whole life was based on a lie and it is directly tied to your career. Agreed, too. I'm Scottish, and swearing is a constituent part of our language. There are people over here that over do it, too. But, generally the words are used either constuctively, humourously, or just sarcastically (we're good at the sarcasm thing). An example is a friend of mine at school (40yrs ago) when angrily questioned by his frustrated girlfriend about something, grouchily snapped back "Look, I for-fucking-got aboot it". Off the cuff, completely unnecessary, grammatically painful, squeezed into not just a sentence, but a word, yet ultimately funny.
1:34 , IF I were god, it wouldn't bother me if people came out of their houses, cursed my name every morning, and went off to worship a small, blue, porcelain hippo, just as long as they were nice to each other and other animals. But then again, I'm not a mythical deity, made up by people who were desperate for others to believe in it.

The whole “no two fingerprints are alike” thing has never been proven.
It's also an argument against design. Why would a creator build in a mechanism to randomly construct fingerprints? Uniformity and simplicity are evidence of design, not variation.
Fingerprints have been similar enough to fool experts and convict innocent people.
That weird guy that had to be bleeped over a hundred times was such a good witness for his faith. I almost felt the love and compassion pouring from my computer. Yep. That was really a true life example of loving others and treating others the way he wants to be treated. Makes me want to run (not walk) to a church tomorrow to get my Christian membership certificate....or whatever it is they do for new members.

The bearded guy in the hood is Bishop Mar Mari Emanuel from his independent church in the Syrian Orthodox tradition in Sydney here in Australia. He goes online and says inflammatory stuff about anybody he doesn't agree with. About six weeks ago he was live streaming mass from his church and a teenager came at him with a knife and attacked him. Congregation members held the teen until police arrived and he's been charged with serious offenses. The boy said, "He said bad things about the prophet." Put two extremists in one room and Kapow!
Also their former bishop and their church was excommunicated from the Orthodox body due to theological differences ostensibly but with beliefs like Mar Mari likes to pontificate about, I'm pretty sure it probably went a lot deeper.

The moon is moving away from the earth. That means that before now, solar eclipses were bigger, more common, and darker.
True, but we're talking a 3.78cm (less that 1.5 inches) per year so time adjustments of microseconds and apparent size differences of nanometers. 2000 years ago the moon was only 7.5km (4.6 miles) closer to the Earth. Considering the moon is 1,737km (1080 miles) in diameter with an average distance of 384Kkm (238Kmiles) from Earth, it "hasn't moved at all" for the purposes and reasons we are talking about.
Thus, because the numbers are so small, the differences in eclipses today from 0 AD wouldn't even be detectable or measurable without extremely sensitive observational equipment or doing the maths. Everything they said about eclipses in that news segment is bollocks.
Given it's all about causes, it should really be called the causemological argument.

Of the bloke starting at 3:42, I am reminded of the joke that told of a fellow who had a lot to say unless one omitted all the cuss words -in which case he was silent. Of the fellow at 6:35, he makes the usual argument that God is outside of time. As I pointed out on this channel before, time is a measurement of change. If God decided to create the universe, He made a change from not creating the universe to creating it; this change is time. Therefore is God inside of time. Of the bearded chap, he says he talks you, his friend, whoever you are. Christopher Hitchens in one of his debates was speaking to a Christian clergyman. The clergyman said that he didn't regard Hitchens as an enemy, to which Hitchens told the religious fellow the he (the Christian) didn't know his enemy.

Why do people take an object that we know, for a fact, to have been created by humans and use that to say that they universe was created? It makes no sense. It's like saying that this sandwich has mustard on it, so that tree does as well.

That's what I've always said! They always use an example of something they KNOW was made by a human. I always reply "If you were walking through a field and stumbled upon a florbimp, would you know an intelligent mind was behind it?" Obviously there's no such thing as a florbimp but that's the point, it's something genuinely unknown to the speaker and thus has no previously collected knowledge applied to it, and thus they can't say anything about it for sure. And besides, there are lots of formations that form from natural processes that strongly resemble the work of intelligent design, such as the Giant's Causeway or the Old Man of the Mountain or Saturn's hexagon.
The one that drives me the most nuts (aside from the ontological argument) is the tornado in a graveyard analogy. It completely fails to take into account even the most basic aspects of chemistry. It's not like a tornado in a junkyard, it's like a tornado in a massive pile of magnets. Those magnets may be initially mixed up and formless, but electromagnetism will eventually draw them to a more organized structure. And chemistry is far more complex than simple magnets.
So when mom said, "I brought you into this world. I can take you out" she was god?

I'm here to laugh at apologists and their sh*tty arguments. And he's the most laugh-worthy, which is why we're laughing at him the most.
But I can laugh at the others and point out how stupid they are too. Buckle in, because this is a long one.
1) Creating life doesn't give you the right to destroy it. If anything, its the opposite. Modern ethics believe that the parents of a child are responsible for that child's health and wellbeing.
2) under the hypothetical "if God exists" this is false opposites because "not doing enough" isn't the opposite of "doing it wrong" it's a subset. We would want God to prevent suffering in the first place, but instead he creates more suffering as he "punishes" people guilty of arbitrary sins that hurt nobody, and ignores the actual suffering.
This is kind of like if I said I want the police to protect more people and also stop beating up the homeless.
And his examples of what we want (end of suffering, evidence he exists) and his examples of God giving them to us (The crucifixion, nature) range from non-sequitor (The crucifixion - if it even happened - doesn't prevent suffering) to pathetic (nature doesn't need a god to exist)
We don't blame God, we just don't think it exists.

4) this guy has a lot. First of all, its rather self-serving that a theist - even a former atheist - says "if I were an atheist, this would convince me."
The fact that almost every scientist agree that the universe had a beginning, but few if any of them were converted by this, speaks a lot to how convincing this is to actual atheists
I've never seen why apologists think this is such a gotcha. We intuitively assume most things had a beginning, so its not surprising that almost every religion has a myth about the origin of the world. The fact that the early moments of the universe don't line up with any religion really speaks way more to me.
And the cosmological argument fails for two reasons
A) we don't know that "everything that begins to exist has a cause" because we've never seen energy/matter begin to exist (ignoring some quantum stuff going on right now). So how can we know that energy/matter needs a cause.
B) since time started within the universe, it's impossible for their to be a cause since causes require time (since the effect must happen after the cause)
Also he sticks on way too many unnecessary attributes to this creator force.
Occam's razor states that no god is less assumptions than one god.
5) evolution was not discovered by conspirators set out to lie about Christianity. They just wanted the truth, wherever that led. Charles Darwin didn't start losing faith in Christianity until after he formulated his ideas on evolution.
The "where you there?" argument is just childish. I'm glad this guy isn't a forensic scientist or a lawyer. "Well, nobody SAW the victim get murdered so we can't even know a crime happened."
Mistaking a scientific theory for a hypothesis is the quickest way to lose all credibility. The clarification is in a million places now. I feel like you have to be willfully ignorant to make this argument.
The watchmaker argument is the second fastest way to prove this. It basically comes down to "we know that designed things are designed, therefor undesigned things are also designed."
6) this is just a "look at the trees" argument. Yes, eclipses are amazing, but completely expected in a natural world.
And plenty of religions describe their god(s) the same way as the Bible. They just don't have apologists twisting everything into modern views.

Whenever I see titles like this, my initial thought is, "That's kind of harsh, isn't it?" But by the end, I see that the title is just the plain fact of the matter, clearly demonstrated by the theists themselves.
