I felt my heart beating harder as he burned the original. That would just break my heart if such a priceless document got destroyed. I knew something was wrong when they knew there was civilian “terrorist” and still launched artillery with absolutely no problem what’s so ever. I heard stories from relatives who were SF in the Army (Rangers), Marines (Raiders) and Navy (SWCC) where such similar scenarios were either met with heavy resistance, some hesitation or accidents” had happen to the CO who gave the order. The second red flag was the fact the men had carried incendiary grenades. Not only it is a war crime for them to be used but to keep from being used they were only used by heavy ordinance to prevent “accidental” usage. My father told me how one of the finest men he knew snapped when the soldiers they were supposed to rescue in a conflict in Africa in the 80s were burned alive when he and his men stormed the building. The men responsible surrendered, were unarmed, rounded up and my fathers friend took one of their Molotov cocktails , light it up and throw it amongst prisoners. The fact the story teller deliberately fired upon unarmed woman and children which would’ve have him killed by his fellow SF in a instant weather they are Seals, Rangers, Delta or Raiders let alone a court martial when he gets back. Special Forces Operatives are the best of the best because they can handle situations and combat zones that would have broken lesser men but they are still human. With their training they become living instruments of death but they have a limit that (though rarely) can be reached and surpass, if one snaps and goes on a rampage no one but of one of their own can hope to subdue them before they kill someone and will outfight a platoon of regular grunts if none of their unit are around. The last red flag I got from this before realizing we the audience are on the wrong side is that the rest of the soldiers are doing the exact same thing and that he was speaking about the Rebels with the most absolute hatred, almost religious zeal and the mentioning of brainwashing the masses for terrorizing. Again SF are trained are to be in complete control of everything about their bodies, equipment, mind and soul. If you let your emotions cloud your judgement you can’t think clearly and rationally, anger and blood lust will control you and you _will_ die. This guy was not thinking clearly, hatred clouding his mind. He could have gotten him and his men out of there while simultaneously completing his objective and all he had to do was read a piece of paper. If this guy was one of the best and I’m assuming he was because reading that piece of paper is able to turn entire armies against the “Government” he must have been equivalent of Delta, ST6, Force Recon, Rangers, or S.A.D to get that document then simply reading it wouldn’t have done a damn thing about his loyalty or his mission. He shouldn’t be Tier 1 if it did because they test/torture you for that very reason if you were to be doing some Black Ops like this guy technically was. Considering it's horror fantasy I wasn't sure what the parchment was at first, but when the story used real posts and units I realised that the parchment had to be one of the founding documents. The Declaration of Independence would have been a better pick as an anti-leftwing document because it actually spells out Natural rights, but it's a good listen.
Please redo this video with your higher quality equipment and production values. This one is so good. All your military narrations are my favorites but this is especially good. So many hidden gems in the story by the writer.

July 3rd, 2021 Almost one year after the (EXCELLENT) narration of this story, we now see how this scenario could actually play out! Out of all the Creepypastas, this is the most likely to occur in real life. Given the title (the Parchment) and the nature of the early narration, I knew where this was going about 3 minutes in. But the references to "Private Anne" & "Specialist Tifa" are classic, are very timely. The other "Easter Eggs" ("deplorable," "Thank the Government," the hypocritical, self-righteous racism of the government commander/narrator, all of the so-called "terrorists" and "traitors" being clearly identified as members of our own, loyal U.S. Military, etc") are awesomely chilling as well. Here in February 2021, this story feels too prophetic. I love the "Donald Lincoln" reference. NICE but SCARY Job!
I’ wasn’t surprised in the least where this story was going especially when the Lieutenant started ranting about how much of a tyrant ‘44’ was and blaming him for the events going on in the story. Considering the real problems actually started once he left office.

As an ex-Airborne Infantryman, this scenario is terrifying. We all swore to protect the American people against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. This story is making some feels.

This thought just came upon me shortly after the into, Dr. you may well be the best special ops / military commander voice...as far as I've seen. there's just something about the Dr, you; Narrating military esc stories that seem oh so fitting....err well... next to Jocko Willink. The navy seal that reads wartime novels, but you, you add the art to it all, which I much appreciate. Still listening after all this time Doc. Keep up the fantastic work.😄

This future I do not want nor would wish on ANYONE. But my oath did not have an expiration date. And I remember the words "... against ALL enemies, foreign AND domestic...". This I will defend! HOO-AH!!!

It came on me about 16:38 into the story, as to who the rebels were and who the attacking force was! I should wait for the end to find out if I was correct. Great story! Great narration also.

Considering it's horror fantasy I wasn't sure what the parchment was at first, but when the story used real posts and units I realised that the parchment had to be one of the founding documents. The Declaration of Independence would have been a better pick as an anti-leftwing document because it actually spells out Natural rights, but it's a good listen.

I have been waiting for quite a long time for someone to write a story like this. We need more.
Out of all the Creepypastas, this is the most likely to occur in real life. Given the title (the Parchment) and the nature of the early narration, I knew where this was going about 3 minutes in. But the references to "Private Anne" & "Specialist Tifa" are classic, are very timely. The other "Easter Eggs" ("deplorable," "Thank the Government," the hypocritical, self-righteous racism of the government commander/narrator, all of the so-called "terrorists" and "traitors" being clearly identified as members of our own, loyal U.S. Military, etc") are awesomely chilling as well. Here in February 2021, this story feels too prophetic. I love the "Donald Lincoln" reference. NICE but SCARY Job!

I’ wasn’t surprised in the least where this story was going especially when the Lieutenant started ranting about how much of a tyrant ‘44’ was and blaming him for the events going on in the story. Considering the real problems actually started once he left office.

My last comment on this video. The fact that every side of this current debate has voiced how the opposition is the "Protagonist" of the story illustrates the true genius behind the writing.

Since I live in Texas I'm familiar with the places mentioned in the story. The story itself was phenomenal. For myself I would side with the rebels because those are my beliefs now. That so called government they had seemed like communist, just ghastly.
