Hey, just between you and me, i discovered a glitch that saves like 10 seconds. It's basically a double jump. You crouch before jumping, tap the spacebar, then uncrouch and hit space again in (probbably) the same frame. This gives you around twice the height of a regular jump. If you don't believe me, just give it a few tries in game! Anyway, it saves time because it allows you to skip grabbing the popcorn cart in the theater, since you can just double-jump over the wall. It might also be usable in other places, but idk. I'm sharing this knoweledge with you because i'm too lazy to go for the record myself. But you seem like the perfect man for the job. Even if you don't go for it, this run is still incredible!
That sounds interesting, I will investigate it when I get home. That skip would probably save about 10 but it could be used elsewhere as well. Due to how rng the game is that 10 second save may not be enough to secure another WR but I'll try next week.
@@OuijaSpider I just noticed your reply and i want to say one more thing. I discovered a slightly easier way to time it. You crouch, jump and uncrouch at the same time, then you jump again like 0.01 seconds later. Since this is still a new glitch, even to me, i'm not totally sure how it works. You'll probbably have to play around with it for a while before you get consistent at it. But good luck!
Elevator thing just requires tight timing, for the diving board jump you need a perfect jump at the exact point I'm standing p much, take time to line it up
Also, I don't know if SMB1 is too mainstream for you. But I would love to see you try SMB1 speed run attempts. Check out Kosmic, he has a lot of experience on UA-cam and made a basic beginners speedrun tutorial. He isn't the current record holder. But he has several active channels where he plays romhacks, one of the channels is his VODS channels, one of his channels is his shortened version of his VODS channel, which used to be his VODS channel, and on of his channel's which has always been his main channel, where he used to have the shortened versions of the VODS, but now he separated those out to his second channel, and now just leaves that channel for explanations of deeper mechanics of SMB1 and 2J.
@@MattIsTheCat I know SMB 1 just haven't gotten around to actually doing it, it'd have to be on Switch too. Also I don't play games based on popularity, I just play them because their fun, I was grinding Pizza Tower Noise IL records a few days ago, lol. Nice recommendation though.
Yea admittedly this game is kind of just an rng grind, beta v2 has actually unique movement where you can slide and gain speed in water with precise hops, no idea why they removed it, bleh. Would recommend watching my records on beta v2 and v1 if you haven't.

bro didn't even saw the monster , he went like "shit he's to fast I'm to lazy to try to scare him"
Nice run 👏
I knew lazy river had something to do with staying out of the water. It was taking me 8 minutes to get through
Help! I am under the water, please help me!
Bro just place a door
GGs bro. Rip my record
I was -17 compared to your record entering lazy river, unfortunately got worse rng, could've been a 14:3X for sure.
When the button is on the back of the elevator it cant get out in time, also on the diving board I cant seem to jump onto it. Any tips?

Can you make a TAS for this game?
Idk how to make a tas or rng manip for a tas so I'd say no
It is funny how bland and uniteresting a SpeedRun makes this game. Not bad, just funny.
At least, in my opinion.
