Thanks my friend! I could fasten it, but, I'm not done with all projects and build "over there" and it's a nice place for chopping wood too. And then it's nice to have it removable. Mario pointed out the rocking/inbalance, but I thing I can solve that with a simple wedge. Have a better than great day! 😉👍
Great way to hide a concrete post for sure, love how you brought together the tool box and speed square jig in this build, really ties everything together nicely, did you finish the table with anything?
Thank you my friend and thank you for noticing my old projects popping up! :-) I'm planning on treat it with oil when I'm oiling my other decks in a couple of weeks. Hopefully that will make it hold up for a while longer. All the best to you! 👍😊
Hey, that's a cool way to hide an eyesore like that post, well done. Will you fix the table top to the post somehow though? It seems a little tippy if you put weight on one side.
thank you very much! and you are right. I have intentionally left some play, just to see how the mount shrinks and expand. a rainy day it solid, but not on a warm day. I will probably add two wedges to accomodate that, and still have it easy to remove. 😊 or do you maybe have any suggestion? thanks again! tip of the hat!
@@dekeros-recreationalwoodwo6456 oh nice, wedges are clever, you'll still keep it easily removable that way too. I guess so long as you don't expect kids to climb on it that will be strong enough.
Turning a useless post and some old boards into a great new gathering place is a fantastic idea, great job buddy!
thank you! yeah! I was really annoyed of that post, and this was a practical solution. all the best to you guys! cheers! 😊
An extra table is always nice to have!
big thanks! yeah, totally agree. and when the look is as rough as this, I'm not worried to spill anything. 😊 no need for coasters. haha. thanks again!
Very nice work! That’s an awesome table and a good way to hide a concrete post. 👍👍
Thank you very much buddy! Really appreciate you watching and commenting. You know it! 👍😊
Dekeros - Recreational Woodworking 👍👍
Perfect table to hold a G8 Round Table summit :D. Great use of that post.
oh! If I ever catch them guys sitting around this table.... again! 🤣 thanks buddy! 👍😊
Good use of old boards - now you just have to make some chairs as well... 😉
I really like the cameos of your old projects!
thank you my friend! haha. thanks for noticing. hmm... chair you say. not a bad idea! thanks and have a great day!
Brilliant Daniel 😊 A great way to adapt old features and really useful too 😊 ॐ
Thank you very much! 😊 For that place in the garden it fits perfect for all sorts of projects. Namaste!
Nice work! I loved the home-made Square-Cut with the extension on the speed square
Warm thanks my friend! A simple thing, but quite nifty ideed! 😊👍
Cool build, nice way to hide / make use of the post
thank you my friend! I liked making this. 😊 Appreciate you support!!
Nice work! Perfect height as bar table for the drinks late at night! 😉
Thank you my friend! haha. Yes! Can never have too many bar tables around the perimiter. 😁👍
@@dekeros-recreationalwoodwo6456 and they need to be at a lower and lower height as the night pass on! 🤣
The gap you left between planks looks just right.
haha! thanks! after making a lot of decking, I found this to be good for tables and a bit tighter/closer for floors. :)
Dekeros - Recreational Woodworking stubbing my toe on furniture kills, I can’t imagine getting it stuck in a gap while im walking lol.
@@MikeTheMaker1 ouch! thanks for the image, I can almost feel it. haha. :-)
just noticed your roofing square mod... great idea
Thanks for that my friend! it's very nifty indeed! 😊👍
Loved it! I’m guessing that is shared land, so you can’t attach the table permanently?
Either way, great solution Daniel. 👍

Thanks for that! You know its appreciated! Cheers buddy!
Nice build, but the table should not rock.
