Fun fact: In the remaster of No Russian at the escalator section, if you wait around for a little a look back to where you came in, you can see a wounded Yuri coming holding his pistol before falling over just like in MW3. Not only that, if you shoot Yuri, you get a Game-Over screen saying “friendly fire isn’t tolerated”
Surprised he didn’t add that. Nor did he know about the bathroom with the crying baby/child. Also thought he’d notice more of the radio chatter like “Broken Arrow”. Still a great video
If you flash bang him… he wakes up and can join the fight
“Snake, what are you doing? You’ve changed the Future! You’ve created a Time Paradox!”
You can also throw a flash bang at him and he’ll stand up
@@nickshaffer80*turns ocelot is dead into time paradox*
What a classic. Being the astronaut for like 5 seconds is something I always remember and the red dot sights going out after the nuke goes off.
You should play call of duty ghost it has a whole astronaut mission
@@aditya3127 im not judging but when was the last time someone said „you should play ghosts“😂
@@larifax-8107 it’s not the best game but he said he liked the astronaut part so I said he might like that to
@@aditya3127 yeah I know what you mean I also played the ghosts campaign
Ramirez! Last mag, make it count!
Fun fact: At the very start of the first mission while waiting for the building to be demolished, there's some soldiers on their phones filming it. In the original, which released in 2009, these were flip phones since smartphones were still very new and no one knew how prevalent they would be in 2016 (when the game takes place). But in the remaster, which of course released after 2016, they now have smartphones, and at least one of the soldiers isn't filming anymore and instead just scrolling through some social media site or something.
Bonus fun fact because why not, the training course at the beginning of the game is the only place where you can find a SCAR with a foregrip attachment in the entire campaign.
That fact has SCARred me completely.
As someone who also grew up playing the modern warfare trilogy I understand your excitement in this video
During the DC mission, you could hear the soldiers panicking through the comms trying to fight and it really adds the intensity of the situation
theres full videos with the subtitles of the radios, you can even hear the broken arrow code
@@wolfxiv9622 Just imagine this happening in real life
I’ve heard the yelling through the comms when they fully get overrun
I think that didn’t get put into the full game tho
@@hindercanrun379 kinda wish they added it but i wouldn't be surprised if they removed it because of how disturbing it sounds
yeah
Bonus win:
If you listen to the ambient sounds during the rush to the Whitehouse, it's actually crazy how much effort put into the invasion radio chatter. It's chilling, haunting, harrowing.
The biggest crime of this video is that no wins were given to Keith David's performance as Sgt. Foley
I mean, there were several wins for Foley himself, which might as well be attributed to Keith David.
Were it so easy
Gaming wins please talk about Grand Theft Auto 4.
Haha this is facts Foley was great
@@JongleurBt1 I was wondering why his voice was so familiar lol. Arbiter is badass everywhere he goes and in whatever form he is.
Actually the reason soap got the name soap is because of the speed and efficiency in which he cleared rooms and houses during infiltration missions
I assumed it was because he was a demolitions guy (and sniper).
its because he always washed your back
I always said it was because if he dropped, your fucked
Man, Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe really hit it out of the park with the OST. to this day it's one of my favorite soundtracks in just... anything
My favorite nod in the remaster is in the first mission when you go into the training pit I immediately shot Shepard in the head without thinking and then got an achievement for it 😂 glad I’m not the only one and they knew it would happen for many of us
Missed Win: In the museum, there’s an animation at the airport display where Makarov presses his hand against his own guys and looks over to someone (that being you). This was the original starting animation for “No Russian”, because the meaning of ‘No Russian’ is to not speak it, not leave no Russian alive. Which adds to the twist that Makarov knew and that he wanted to frame America behind the terrorist act.
MW2 had everything you wanted from a shooter of that time: a gripping and adrenaline packed story, a challenging co-op adventure in Spec-Ops and a Multiplayer experience that filled countless days with friends on iconic maps. And damn was the campaign brutal on Veteran, especially the Favela levels were one of the biggest challenges in a shooter campaign ever.
4:00 I usually ditch the DEagle while running the pit. I purposely fail the first time because they unlock more weapons to choose from
14:52 Ramirez looking at his hands was in the original
I'm just gonna put it out there that Foley and Ramirez deserve to come back at some point in the new MW series.
Probably in MW3, where it's possible Al Qatala will go full US Invasion to revenge Hassan
@@theportugueselegendand guess what...
you know the rest
Being nine years old in the multiplayer lobbies was certainly an experience. Way too young to be playing the game, way too young to be playing online with strangers dropping more slurs and curses than a KKK grand wizard. Still, it's a time I look back fondly on and I wouldn't trade it for a thing.
Also, Whiskey Hotel is the best level and soundtrack in the game in my opinion.
The premium COD experience
I'm glad I was old enough to understand some of the gravity of what they were trying to convey in this campaign. My dad, who I played this with, watched Red Dawn with me and told me about how it gave him nightmares because of how plausible it seemed, with him being a teenager at the time. I used to live near DC, I've walked among those monuments you fight through in game. My aunt in Virginia lived in a neighborhood very much like what you clear through in the next mission, and I could imagine my cousins taking cover behind the pool table we always played at as foreign soldiers stormed through their house. MW2 was my generation's Red Dawn.
People in the US don't know how good we have it sometimes. Our geography makes it very difficult to invade, and the memes of "let me show you what we have instead of universal healthcare" have some truth to them. I've lived elsewhere before and I'm glad to be back. I hope it stays that way. More than foreign invasion, with politics getting more polarizing and people listening to each other less I'm worried we're going to have to start calling what happened in the 1860's the First Civil War soon.
On the other hand, things like the first civil war ended up being catalysts for positive change.
@@theguybehindyou4762 Yeah, its just that any next civil war wont be black and white like the previous one. So that " positive change" wont be worth the hundreds of thousands of lives it would cost.
Small nitpick, but technically not all of Shadow Company is Disciple, that's just one of their units. Butcher (also very fitting) is another unit you fight during the level, and there's also Oxide (Radio officer), Thunder and Warhorse (Helicopters), Excalibur (Artillery), and a handful of other unidentified units heard on radio chatter.
That aside, I have to say the remaster was pretty excellent. The added animation work, updated graphics, I was quite happy with it.
This is my favorite game of all time ever. Everything about it is amazing, I was 9 when it came out and had just suffered a terrible loss, and it helped me feel less alone and keep smiling, such a good game
Honestly one of my favorite little details is how in the the final missions briefing, when the knife pops up on screen it flashes red, foreshadowing pulling out the knife
The "Till i'll collapse" trailer will allways stay in my mind. Nothing will ever hit THAT hard.
Captain Prices monologue was Soo good that I recited it in my theater class and I got an A for it
Another win for when sneaking through the blizzard Soap will say, "this guy is mine" but if you quick enough and kill him first, he will reply, "We'll, I guess not" it's both in the original and remaster, and I love that little detail
Also the way after getting shot by Shepeard Ghost goes right to shoot him damn loyalty
One extra bit to No Russian that makes it better is that Yuri actually does show up! Once you go up the elevator he shows up and you can see him pass out!
Fun fact : Chocolate bar guy is still there , he is now a ranger, you can see him while walking up the stairs at the start.
That sound of the public service alerts is haunting, I’ve heard it 3 times, all during storms thankfully, not invasions.
As someone who was living in the DC metro area when this game came out, the cutscenes at the start of the invasion missions were hitting a bit close to home. Really helped to add weight to those missions.

My anticipation for this has skyrocketed ever since it began climbing at your MWI video. Needless to say, I was not disappointed.
Keep up the great work. Also love the intro. I hope you do Battelfield after this franchise.
Same.
“I’m lookin at fighter jets over I-95! How the hell did they get here!?” Genuinely scares me
The soundtrack was composed by Hans Zimmer, which is why it’s one of my fav OSTs. I didn’t realize it until 8 years later
Dude the Erie music playing during price's monolauge to this day still send shivers up and down me. It was executed so well.

I don't think another Call of Duty could ever top the story and voice acting from this game and the series in general. The writing, character developments, character interactions and twists are just too good for what they were at the time. Listening to Shepard and Price's monologues in this game was like my first time watching season one of Game of Thrones where the meat of story was in the dialogue of the characters. Absolutely genius from a game that came out in 2009
Price's "healthy human mind" speech might still be one of the most hype inducing speeches in a game for me.
I actually used a paraphrased version of Shepard’s “what happens over here matters over there” line when speaking at a fundraising rally for the Ukraine war, because it is true. The best villains often speak a kernel of truth.
MW2 was the last of a golden era for me and my friends playing games together. Some of the things we said online 100% would get us put on watchlists today. We don’t know what we have until it’s gone.
Man I remember as a little boy like 5-8 of me playing the campaign over and over again.
The main thing that irks me about the ending of the remaster is that they get the timing of the music wrong. Nikolai’s ‘I know a place’ line is supposed to end just as the music crescendos, which it does in the original, but clearly some dialogue was rerecorded for that scene alone with a different voice actor and not timed as well.
I love how Soap being the playable character in MW1 and he still acts like the cod playable character in mw2 like tackling the guy or clawing the snowmobiler, some or most gaming sequels dont do that
You don't play as soap in mw2 until like the last few missions you're playing as roach
I'm saying when youre not playing as him he still like the action game hero player
@@SurvisCallus yeah I get that sorry for mis interpretating what you said
3:56 "cut sHAUN! C U T!!!" lmao this bit SOUNDS like a game lobby I love it
19:37 I think you forgot about this little foreshadowing for the next game.

One of the biggest things I'm surprised you left out is the attention to detail they put into the background radio chatter during the American Invasion missions. There's probably 20-30ish minutes of it, and it tells some of the best stories that you don't get to play. From squads unhesitatingly calling in Broken Arrow, to gunships going down wiping out columns of BTRs, to a forward team calling in an arty strike with a TEN DIGIT GRID, aka practically dropping a bomb on some poor soldier's forehead. Not to mention the cut dialogue during the Washington Monument Evac fight, where you hear an increasingly distressed soldier practically BEGGING for ANY kind of intervention as the entire center is overrun, until he's killed and some panicked soldier picks it up and hands out guns to the CIVILIANS in a desperate last stand if you do nothing. It's chilling, thrilling, and I love it.
Walking out of the bunker to see DC in ruins in Off Thier Own Accord is such a good moment
Shaun did indeed cut just not soon enough
The people have to know...
Every line said in this game has been burned into my brain, Price's monologue about killing Sheppard is the most bad ass speech I've ever heard
Cpl. Dunn was the most memorable character in my opinion, I have his named seared in my head for some reason.
There’s a cool detail in the Arcadia mission when you find the safe house has been breached and the HVI is dead. The dead Russian soldier Dunn finds is one of your allies from the airport mission and it’s implied that he died tying up loose ends and that the HVI was connected to Shepherd, Makarov or both. It’s never fully explained but it leaves you thinking.
I made a playlist of the mw2 Xbox lobbies and man there are some national treasures there. Especially the riot shield argument.
You didn’t point how, when Makarov says “Remember, no Russian”, all of them look directly at Allen and give him the stankiest looks.
Also there’s an Easter egg in the remaster of Yuri from MW3 trying to chase down Makarov and his crew in the airport after getting shot by him.
Thanks for watching and the feedback 👍 Congratulations you have been selected For the ongoing PS5 Giveaway, Telegram only to claim your prize 🎁👆
The mission 'Wolverines!' feels so real to me whenever I play it as I grew up and still live in Northeast Virginia, 45 mins from DC. It really allows you to imagine an invasion in your own neighborhood
Been looking forward to this. Been a week. And it's only Wednesday.
Best cod game ever
(In my opinion)
Funny thing, chocolate bar guy is still present! He is just at the top of the stairs before hopping in the humvee :) Different character model though :(
The fact that they added a subtitle for a Shadow company pilot saying: Gold eagle's on the ground, watch for snipers on thermal. Confirming the death of Archer and Toad
First video of yours I seen and I’m a fan my dude so dropped a subscribe, keep up the good work
Still waiting for the rest of the Telltale Walking Dead Video Game Series. XD
One thing I always wanted to happen in MW3, was since Price and Soap were fugitives on the run, I wanted part of the campaign to be about a new protagonist hunting them. Then in one mission kinda like the Favela mission, you are actually in the same city as them trying to hunt them down. Then the next mission is you playing as Soap/Price trying to kill that character’s team to get away.
That...... Really Sounds Intersting
Thanks For The Spark Of An Idea
@@Alfonse-dm6ht If only the Devs were listening.
@@LordOfAllusion Its Not That They Were Not Listening Its Just That The Orginal Creative Team Got Fired And They Had To Make Somekind Of Story From Ground Up
This game is surely special to most of us voluntary viewers of this video without anything needing to be said.
I remember collecting all of the intel from a 144p 2012 youtube video and then goofing around with the given cheats, an example would be Green Beret.
Also having to stand in the freezing cold of November 10th, 2009 with my dad so we could get 2 copies, one for him, and the other for my upcoming birthday at the time.
The memories of being too scared to play S&D because you couldn't play it in an xbox 360 party, so my older friends said to just mute everyone else and play as if we were in said party. So many memories I had forgotten about until I loaded back up either the Original or the Remaster, which is what makes it so nice to play, even over a decade later. The goose bumps you feel crawl up your arms as you relive the labelled ``Golden Age`` of Call of Duty and it is just a blast. Not only that, however it's still good, it's not just the nostalgia but it's instead a mix of the two. You feel young and rejuvenated regardless on the fact you still are young, along with the flow of the gameplay and story matching perfectly to create a perfectly good game is what can set games like this apart from other titles. Another two games which does this for me is Bungies 2009 HALO 3: ODST and Bungies 2010 HALO Reach.
Chocolate bar guy was not gone. He was moved to the top of the stairs instead.
Growing up with call of duty has given me so many good memories. Like shii.. I used to be a squeeker too and im damn proud of it haha
"Good, thats one less loose end." Saw it first when I was about 7-8, fuck Shepherd
The being called “bundle of sticks” brought back some kind of memory from my squeaker era, I specifically remember being called that in mw2 and 3 lobbies 💀
Shepard's betrayal is top 10 games betrayals of all time
Also, 1:50 - about the music. You know it's good, if Hans Zimmer did it.

I grew up in this games peak as well, god do I miss it, Halo 3, This game then Black ops 2 were the peak of my generations multiplayer games
Ahhhhh I’ve been waiting for this thank you bro
2009 modern warfare two was my childhood, I remember being 6 at the time and watching my dad play and shit talk people with his friends... and then playing and ruining his k/d when he wasn't home. those were the days
This campaign was amazing
9:27 I forgot to also point that when he says no Russian the whole team turn to face you knowing you’re a spy
The score being played during the shepherd betrayal scene is 😮💨
If you don't support the evac site numerous voice lines will play detailing their hasty defenses failing, and I mean *excruciating* detail. I believe there are no less than five separate triggers that trip before the objective is considered failed

I love your editing 😂 the Darth Vader saying “where is Cpt. Price?” 🤣🤣🤣
man its weird to think your only a year older than me and just how long ago this game came out, i was 8 years old but i was self aware enough this game did strike a cord with me well into me being a teenager, theres just so much detail about war the game covers, but above all else id say its simply human nature to fight, we live in our cozy little houses without realizing were about 2 steps away from losing all the comfort weve built because 2 men want to settle their debate with thousands of lives, it is indeed quite a scary realization that at a moments notice our lives could be changed forever.
Thanks for watching and the feedback 👍 Congratulations you have been selected For the ongoing PS5 Giveaway, Telegram only to claim your prize 🎁❤️.
The fact that Shepherd doesn't give Price permission to use the nuke is nice hint about which side he's on and his betrayal, he says he's willing to do anything and then Price presents the option and he's not willing because it would fuck with his plan
The US Ranger missions for me are my favourite i may be British but feeling sadness, hopelessness it sturrs a weird feeling inme seeing our greatest allies being attacked on their home soil and seeing such prolific building like the White destroyed and burning I can't put into words what those mission do to me.
American may have better feeling of words for when you replay these mission.
To put it bluntly I may be British but seeing a scenario where my greatest allies practically family is being attacked and seeing such destruction to such lovely nation brings sense of patriotism and sadness to me and I would like to think if such a scenario as unlikely as it is my country would suit and help push back the invaders.
A similar scenario kinda played out in the first Homefront game when you cross the Golden Gate Bridge the US military get reports that European military forces are waiting off the cost to invade and push the Koreans back I can bet the British military was at the front of that invasion force it was the same with Homefront The Revaluation British Special forces with an MI6 engineer infiltrated to destroy the Korean satellite because British and other European forces couldn't land unless cut off the enemies capabilities.
3:30 extra win for captain Anderson! So when do the reapers come down?
The best thing is Ghost immediately turning his weapon on Sheperd once he shoots Roach. man was ready to fuckin eliminate.
Price saying "the enemy of my enemy us my friend " technically foreshadows MW3 where they meet Yuri, who used to be in Makarov's Inner Circle
3:55 I was surprised by the sudden shrieking.. and then the course slacking..

A classic, I didn’t get into the series till mw3 then replayed the whole series. The music 👌🤌 the fighting through the suburbs was amazing and the new one has a lot to hold up to and we’ll see how it does.
At 6:51 you can fall off the cliff you start the mission on, and the death quote that pops up will say.
“When you fall I’ll be there.”
- Floor.
I started replaying this game on veteran
I finally worked up the courage to do a veteran playthrough for this campaign and just my God I felt so accomplished and happy once I did it, this game is so amazing.
5:26 chocolate bar guy is still there, if u go towards the humvees he's there at the top of the stairs munching away
Something here I wanted to mention that hasn't been mentioned in the comments so far, but if you pause and read the newspaper articles when Makarov is first seen, they're actual news articles relevant to the story, not filler texts to flesh out the look of a newspaper when people are only really paying attention to the big headline.
19:34 in that part of the mission if you look at Nikolai´s plane you would see him pop up some flares, the flares makes the shape of an "angel", that shape is called the death angel
YESSSSS, it’s finally here
Watching Rick & Morty, and hearing the Presidents Voice also Played by the Same Person on your Team makes me think of R&M’s President 14:38 :P
Foley reminds me of Johnson from Halo, Always gets me to chuckle an is a badass
Thanks for shouting out my hometown in the Wolverines mission! Seems like we're getting a bit more famous from this one scene 😅
Grate game and video
I like the new MW2 (2022); its a more 'realistic' take on spec warfare while having those gorgeous action movie moments we love. But OG MW2 was the balls to the wall action movie game that I loved through my teenage years. It will always have a special place in my heart.
Alright I’m not going to bed before midnight, big up
I always appreciate when a game includes a last stand scenario, idk why but they are always my favorite
You can really tell based off your energy in this video how much you love this game.
I’ve never seen you be so excited to talk about a game :)
RIP Chocolate bar guy 😞 truly the best of us.
He wasn’t removed. Top of the stairs.
@@ShadowCompany01 he still lives! Huzzah!
At the start You missed that in "Wolverines" the gunner of the Humvee in front of you guns down a para trooper on a roof top that just touched down
Also Rameraz looks at his hands in the original too, its just the lighting is really dark, sometimes hard to tell

I still remember this, OG modern warfare, WaW and BO 2 online so very fondly
ALSO at the beginning of no russian its implied that makarov knows who you are, along with everyone else, from the very start, maybe even before the attack. when he says "no russian" notice how everyone in the elevator gives you a sharp gaze? food for thought.
I hope you know how much you are an inspiration for people! Can't wait to see what you cover next, man!
