As usual very informative and funny …you guys work so well together ❤😁 its interesting that carnival haven’t added the reason behind the new changes! It would be great to get some feedback rob.. again for keeping us updated and looking forward to next video 🎉 take care guys 🫶
oh wow you do that too ali hehe i love going through the terms and conditions on the cruise website too and i also read all of the facts and questions on each line im cruising on. it cam take me a few hours. i thought i was the only one to do that hehe
Another very informative video guys. Interesting changes although I must admit none really affect my wife & I as we're usually in bed before midnight & as we work for Qld Health we are definitely over the face coverings thanks to covid, lol... Love your channel, cheers 🍻
We just finished an 11 day PNG cruise on the Lumi and pizza closed at midnight. Late night buffet had hotdogs, prawn puffs, chips, the other pizza type as well as a couple other things.
I only use my Bluetooth speaker to listen to a meditation before sleeping. The reason being because I don't want my phone next to my head overnight. I guess the loud music is more prevalent than we know 🤔🤔 Love your sense of humour; definitely try out the face mask and glasses idea 😁😁
I listen to asmr and my daughter loves her rain type background to fall asleep to. I do use my headphones though and wake up with red marks on my face quite frequently :🤣)
you guys are hilarious, I hope we are on the same cruise some day 😂 I wonder if they mean full head costumes like care bears or the hulk etc. where you have no idea who is under the "head"?
We have just returned off a GBR 🇦🇺cruise 17/11, yes we were disappointed to note the midnight 🍕closure. Plus a few other cost cutting changes. Nothing seems to stay the same 🙄, we still love cruising though.
Hi rob and ali. I actually don't mind they band Bluetooth speakers cause other people don't want to be listening to someone music. As for the face masks thats a bit controversial cause there are religions that require women to wear face coverings so not sure where they are going with that. Also like you said we have covid masks which people still wear. Why is it only carnival Australia???
New CEO’s, even just new wonder boy staff are compelled to either invent ways to cut costs for brownie points or invent some new imagined security risk. One day those that stay aboard at Arlie Beach or any port might get banned from staying aboard so everything can shut down to cut costs.
Thanks Joanne, it's a shame about the Bluetooth speakers as others have them to listen to better quality movies or music in their room, we agree about them being played loud in public places though. Maybe, Carnival found it difficult to police people playing them loud in their rooms so just did a blanket ban. It is like a lot of things in life, sometimes the minority spoil it for the rest. We think you are right about the face masks, and they may have to re-think this one.😷🥸
Agreed Ali they might need to rethink the face coverings. Hopefully if you write to them they can give more information as to why they are doing this and will there be considerations.😊
We haven't had any problems on our cruises, so we have been quite lucky, but gosh yes, I know how annoying it is when you are on the train and places like that, and people think their music is so cool that they play it really loud, I think it is to get the reaction from people around them that we all think "gosh, that dude is really cool". It's not, it's sad.
I bought a blue tooth speak just for the cruise so i could link my tablet to it for my sons to watch movies. As the tv in your room has the usb blocked
wow is that another new wig ali?? i love it its stunning :) i got a wig off cancer tasmania plus 3 off temu, but i cant wear them as they look so wiggish, really fake. but yours always look so natural and beautiful. can you please advise me of where you purchase them from ? i have very little hair now, ive lost so much of it from the chemo, i did have before i started treatment, hair half way down my back, so very sad that ive lost most of it. ive been wearing these really pretty turbans that i got off temu and ebay, they look really nice, but would rather some pretty hair:)
The late night buffet was ummmm different lol I prefer the late night pizza and yes THEY HAVE POLICE WE ENCOUNTERED A ROUTY BUNCH OF CLUB GOERS talking loud and about things others didn’t want to hear about sooooo good luck everyone lol
It will be interesting to see what happens when the ships move over to Carnival. At the moment there is no included pizza on the P&O ships and Carnival haven't indicated that they will be adding it but I suspect the speaker and masks rule will carry over.
Haven’t had any Speaker issues on my 3 cruises but I don’t mind this ban, wouldn’t like it at all if I were relaxing on the balcony and could hear someone’s music. I was just on Splendor in October and the late night buffet was atrocious, especially the Chicago pizza, more like a Focaccia.
Good point about the allergies "Miss wips", I get my pizza without the cheese 'cause I'm no dairy. Gluten free is massive these days so cruises and restaurants need to take note. (ha ha, I mis-typed gluten and the auto spell checker came up with glutton 🤣🤣 I think the universe is trying to tell me something).
@@maggiemitchell4359 I know this, this comment has nothing to do with the dining room, we are discussing the removal of pizza which was available as gluten free and custom to dietary restrictions and how the late night snacks is not providing for this unless you want a salad or fries which I'm not really sure are cooked in a specific gluten free fryer so therefore they really aren't an option, pizza service prepared the gluten free pizzas in a completely different space which made it a safer option.
They are more restrictive in Australia than overseas Carnival. I want to take my drone for use on shore, but no, it would be confiscated. Carnival US allow it, and other cruise lines hold the drone for you. Obviously if you fly on the ship, or in the port area, you can get arrested and thrown off the ship. But I have a license, for instance, to fly the drone in Tonga. I could only get it there by flying ( checked in baggage, and batteries in flame proof containers)
That's a shame Wally. I know that on USA Carnival people can also take fishing gear and fishing hunting knives etc that are held for passengers and checked out when required at ports of call and then checked back in again when getting back on board. Maybe for Australia this security holding facility for drones and fishing gear falls into the "too hard" basket! We hope you still enjoy your cruise though. 🤨😉
I took my drone in my carry on luggage. I had it in a hard case inside my roll on luggage. Never detected it. Took it off in Cairns inside hard case inside my back pack and had no issue when they scanned it when I reboarded. In the next port in Airlie I flew my drone and forgot to put the hard case back in the back pack. An officer saw me with the hard case after I went through the scanner and asked if that had a drone in it. He then took the battery. m(had other batteries in the cabin) Not sure why you cant take a drone onboard if you don't fly it from the ship. I still cant see why they ban drones.
Ha ha, yes, they can be touch and go. P&O Trattoria pizzas are fantastic and on Carnival, they are made in front of you in the pizza ovens and are delish. 😋

omg - fish finger butties!! i had forgotton all about them! thanks for the flashback -

Yeh, thank goodness the face masks are a thing of the past. High five to you and all our health workers 🥰
I love your hair Ali ❤❤❤

Maybe they have face recognition cameras, and it will make it easier for security to identify any troublemakers.
You're such a funny pair😂
U mean annoying 😖😖😖😖😖😖

@@alisontownson8520 That's funny Ali :)
Interesting and fun as always. 🎉
I thought perhaps the face covering thing for seeing age of person for alcohol?

That's why we have a laugh about it as we still think cruising is the best value for a holiday or a short break that you can get. 😍

On my last three cruises, there were people who had portable Bluetooth speakers while walking around.

Interesting

I would say what a fabulous idea, if you are not on a Carnival cruise go for it. We hope you and your fam have a fabulous cruise.

Does this include p and o cruises
It will, because p &o are becoming carnival 😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫
Not at this time but we're keeping an eye on it.

where is a list of what we can take on board ?
Specifically Coke and Spirits
For Luminoso
I would absolutely hate having to listen to someone else's music. If they have to listen to their music they should have headphones.

The face covering rule is a bit silly
What about sunglasses
Some write to John Heald and he sad about masks you can wear at the event just not walk around the ship with it due the security reasons..
The buffet doesn't cater for allergies, pizza did-not impressed by this change.

Email the cruise company before you cruise they will be quite happy to cater for you in the main dining room.

I still cant see why they ban drones.
Go dressed as a surgeon on a theme night.
Crazy hey just play your phone
Pizza’s on all cruise ships are gross….🤢🤢🤢🤢
Ha ha, yes, they can be touch and go. P&O Trattoria pizzas are fantastic and on Carnival, they are made in front of you in the pizza ovens and are delish. 😋
Good ban the bloody speakers,i don't want to listen to other people's music
