In today’s HR Basics, we explore Job Descriptions, we’ll highlight the three simple elements of job documentation that human resource professionals and people managers need to know.
    A job description is a useful, plain-language tool that describes the essential functions and specifications of a position. Job documentation provides the foundation for many activities of human resource management and provide the foundation for compliance.

    Human Resource management has a descriptive section as job description.
    Job description resembles the written format of job responsibilities that can be carried out in an organisation. The essential functions must be mentioned in a job description.

    What about when you work for a company, for 15 years, and they merge and re-align your title, to nearly entry level, but, your still expected to take care of senior level duties? Then when you ask, they say, a title is just a piece of paper, as long as you are making the money you want (which I'm not), what does it matter?
    Honestly, I dont really believe companies respect job titles, descriptions, or required duties.

      This a common issue in M&A, where duplicate positions will be replaced. The corporate HR must implement a procedural justice for the company and address employee issues with open-door policies. My recommendation for unhappy employees would be, provide HR with feedback on M&A experience collectively. A collective voice is powerful. Best Regards

    Thank you for your efforts, examples for this would be helpful. For example, under Job Specifications you state that they need to be unbiased and not base it on a specific individuals education ( 6:16) but the go onto further say that the job spec needs to be specific and this is where a min level of education should be listed. I find this a bit confusing and contradictory, an example to clarify the differences in these statements would be useful. Your knowledge and efforts are always appreciated.

    For HR in oil and gas company... is it true that the time is flexible? Which is not fixed working time.
