Thank you! I just bought my first-ever MacBook, and I’m so excited for it to arrive! It’s the M4 Pro 14-inch model with 14 CPU cores, 20 GPU cores, and 25GB of memory. Since it’s my first big investment, I was really anxious about whether I made the right choice, especially because I want to start learning video editing. I got it on credit, but the seller kept pushing me to go for 48GB of memory or the M4 Max, saying it would last longer. Considering the price, I just couldn’t take the risk of spending more, and I’ve been worrying that video and photo editing might not run smoothly on this model. But your video gave me some peace of mind-thank you for reassuring me!
@@KindQuotes thank you for your awesome comment and that is why I do this videos ❤️ I want to share my experiences and knowledge to help you, thank you also for watching and have a great day 👍
@@gamesdog9067 yes it does, honestly I was surprised 🎉 I also tried some complex fusion stuff and effects and then it could get jerky again, maybe then more memory is better, but for my needs it’s perfect! Thanks for watching!
The M4 Pro 48gb is fantastic! For reference: I use a M3 Max just because of the RAM and it died within a year and I am getting in repaired by Apple I picked up a M4 Pro 48gb because of had a tight deadline and needed the processing power it surprised me! only toward the absolute limit of my development workflow did memory pressure turned orange, but with no swap! If it had 64gb of ram in the latptop it would be my ideal machine. Battery life is amazing and performance is insane, even for my demands edit: ps, the nano-display, while not as crisp as the regular finish, is f*king nice!
Thanks for watching and the insights, that was bad luck I assume; yes more RAM might be useful for dev stuff I know 👍 and thanks I think so when you Need the Nano Display it will be for sure great 🎉
@@flappospammoI am very demanding of my machines, but this was very surprising! Haven’t had a Mac crap out on me since 2009. Part of me thinks it’s an unbinned Max chip in a 14 inch chasis. I’ve been running Sonoma though on the M3 Max…and memory management was great in the M4 Pro running Sequoia. Will find out if upgrading to Sequoia improves that in the M3 max when I get it back today
Okay, I do not code so I don‘t know; 5h is not what I’ve experienced 🤷♂️ but this depends on what you do; only editing and exporting drains the battery for sure faster
Yes, I use an HP Printer Scanner combi, just search in finder printer and scanner and you will find your system there where it is also possible to scan. Optionally I use it sometime directly in Photoshop, there it is also possible. Also it should be possible in PDF applications to scan directly to a PDF.
@@christianeggbauer so… I know this is probably really silly, but I don’t know how to do this! Lol. I need to BUY a scanner right?! There’s not an application or app or anything that is already on my Mac or my iPhone?? And… if I buy one, how do I know it’s compatible with my MacBook Pro M4? And that’ll have the cables/cords for the ports on this thing?? Jeeze this seems so simple but hard for me. 🙃🙃
@@Deelitee So got you, I mean yes you need a scanner for that, I own a pretty old HP Kombi the HP OfficeJet 5230 and this works quite fine. You can simply search on Amazon for Scanners or Scanner + Printer Combos (I think that makes more sense). Just check if the spec says MacOS compatible. A lot of them work simply plug and play, for others you can download a driver package or software, which supports then the external device. Alternatively you could also use your iPhone to take a picture, I think the AI also recognizes text and transforms it or improves the picture quality a lot. I did this for quick stuff I needed to send and it worked quite well, just check that the lighting is good.
