@@Lit_JacksonActually yes, in Boeing it’s displayed as flare and in airbus as a cat 3 single/dual it’s usually used in low visibility o extremely harsh conditions

​@@paulhough5941 No he was not,and most pilots don't. Especially since the 737 flight controls are connected with wires you can feel the winds hitting the flight control surfaces and therefore counteract it before the plane gets thrown around by the wind.
If you've ever flown a plane you'll know that he didn't overcontrol. Why would he? To look cool? It was a textbook landing.

@@AntoniosSpiliotopoulos Lol, you're right, but usually they don't have the processing power to make the graphics look that realistic (especially the water on the windows) which is why I was asking. Usually, the only realistic part is the physics, whereas the graphics look like FSX or something.

The captain wasn't the pilot flying. It was the FO flying. The pilot flying would never remove their hand from the throttles moments before touchdown.
