- On Tuesday 27th October 2022, I decided to take a trip down to London to pay a visit to the world famous Christie’s Auction House where there was something rather exciting taking place.
As part of the 60 Years of Bond celebrations, Christie’s was hosting the 60 Years of James Bond Auction. A charity auction with 60 lots, benefitting 45 different charities.
The 60 incredible lots were split into two auctions, a live auction taking place on Wednesday 28th October, and an online auction taking place between 15th September - 5th October.
There was an opportunity for people to go and visit the showroom up to the 28th October to view some of the lots on offer and this is what I did whilst also taking the opportunity to film this video, so that I could share the experience, give a detailed view of the lots to you all as well as sharing my thoughts on seeing them in person.
It was wonderful to be able to take my time viewing these items and even better to be allowed a couple of exclusive views inside the stunt used Aston Martin DB5.
I hope you enjoy the video.
Thanks for watching, Mark.
Thank you to Matthew Gibbs for the introduction animation he brilliantly put together for the channel using the No Time To Die font!

Thank you for documenting these items, Mark. The hidden Gatling gun detail is fantastic. Cheers!
Hi Mark, thanks for posting the video. Really enjoyed watching it as with all your other videos on Instagram too. Detailed & interesting commentary. Agreed it was great to see the costumes close up and not behind glass. When i saw Bond’s Spectre suit i never knew it had a windowpane check design as on screen it looked like a plain material. It was interesting to see the close ups of the DB5 with the boot opened and also the interior. Good of them to do that.
Loved seeing all of these items in detail, thanks Mark. I wish there'd been some cool Bond events happening like these when I lived in London!!
4:15 Thank you for visiting Mr. Safin!!
Very great video man
It would be funny,at ten minutes thirty, security watching you "has he just had that watch" , great video Mark.
Haha yeah as they Rugby tackle me to the ground 🤣😂
Thank you for sharing!
We were overseas when viewings were taking place so couldn’t attend but did manage to bid.
You’re welcome, pleased you enjoyed and I hope your bids were successful!
Hi Mark what a fab video I was heading to see this in person and due to delays and following appointment I had to miss it so many thanks for taking me there! Great work keep it going All the best Tony PS I’ve not seen anyone make a video on the ski outfit from No Time to Die there’s a challenge for you!
Thanks for watching and for your comment Tony. Sorry to hear you couldn’t make it in person but I’m pleased I could give you a virtual tour through the display at least. 👍🏻
Great video Mark, I had no idea all the damage on the sides of the DB5 was a vinyl wrap!
Yes indeed, a vinyl wrap that was then painted by hand to give the scratches etc.
Then some CGI used to blend it with the final shots. 👏🏻🙌🏻
