This is glorious, I have been researching "how to start your own organic garden" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Nonannah Hanulian Future - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my brother in law got excellent success with it.
OregaNo you didn't😄 i couldn't resist either, anyway im trying to start small with plants(herbs) buying one at a time first, so i don't feel overwhelmed and wasted my money.🌿🌱 If i can take care of one and not have it die, I'll get another one and so on hopefully it will work✌💚
This is why I started getting into herb growing...very therapeutic and healthy!!! I highly recommend gardening for anyone who has stress...most rewarding hobby I've picked up!

Mint is very prolific, for sure. I make tea out of mine, My 80-year-old mentor, who is a Master Gardener, taught me to put my mint in a paper bag on top of the fridge to dry out. It takes a couple of weeks. I bought spearmint, my favorite, today and will plant it in a pot. Thank you for sharing!

I'm starting my culinary journey and I decided that this is the most important thing I need to do. Thank you for the video! I'm going to plant them in my apartment.
Annual plants can be kept forever you just have to keep them on 18-6 light cycle if you harvest the flower in the fall switch to 12-12 to introduce flower

God is so faithful. I was thinking of asking you on your last video on how to start gardening for beginners. God answered this prayer even before I asked. I live in an apartment and I am looking forward to starting gardening. Princess herb is my favorite 😂 Shabbat Shalom 💛
Trying herbs this year because of your recommendation. Tried starting them inside from seeds but our cats wouldn’t leave them alone, furry little destructive friends. So moved them to pots hanging from pallets. Cilantro is already coming up. Lots of rain right now in TN. Thanks for your encouragement!!!!!
I enjoyed this presentation because of your enthusiastic attitude and obvious love of gardening. I felt like a family member just discussing another loved member of the family (herbs) Keep up the good work.
I love the journal you show in the very beginning of the video! I'm trying to create my own garden/nature journal and the pages you showed are simple yet informative
I recently moved to California and I have a garden space here at the community center. I am growing Italian basil, hot and spicy basil, rosemary, oregano, and thyme. This is my first time trying herbs and I really want to hear more about when to harvest, what the drying period entails, and how to use them naturally. Thank you I really enjoyed your advice
I started with aloe then basil and then got brave enough to start a small garden ...now that i know a bit more I feel more prepared for my fall garden that I just got planted this past couple weeks :)
I grow more and more plants each year. This year being home more has been such a blessing. I have tried to grow rosemary and so many people say it is hardy and easy. I won't give up. I will keep trying. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you for sharing this video. It's refreshing to see someone so young. That is living what I call the country life style. I miss living in the country. I had to move to the city due to my health. I am growing seedlings now. Some will be planted outside and some will be grown inside under grow lights. I remember wondering if I could grow a few things inside but let that thought go because I had not heard of a grow light and felt that with me having surgeries back to back that anything I planted would die. Then one day several months ago I came across a video on youtube that was about raised garden beds and container gardens. The containers the guy was using were milk crates. My jaw fell to the floor because I had been given 10 milk crates a few days before that. Needless that was all it took for me. So I got my winter garden plans made and seedlings almost ready to move outside to the crates. Meanwhile, because I am a prepped I decided that I wanted to learn about and grow herbs for cooking, and medicinal purposes as well. I bought a few seedlings and they were doing so great that I bought some seeds too. I am proud to say that my seeds are all sprouting and most have broken through the soil or are already a inch or 2 tall! But the seedlings aren't doing as well. I bought a 4 shelf storage unit. I put one grow light on each shelf but I noticed my seedlings (lemon balm, spearmint, peppermint, and rosemary) as well as a strawberry seedling I bought at the same time a week or 2 ago are all losing leaves. They were turning black and falling off. I tried moving the light closer but that made it worse. I moved the light further away and while it slowed the process of the leaves dying off it only made it back to the level of leaf loss it had to begin with. I read that grow lights need to be 2500 k to provide proper light so I went back to my local garden center and bought 3 more grow lights so that each shelf has 2 grow lights. The loss of leaves has pretty much stopped other than maybe 1 a week. But now i have what looks like leggy stalks standing straight up. I thought about cutting the stalks down some but each stalk has new baby leaves here and there along the stalks. My peppermint plant is doing pretty much the same thing. Should I still go ahead and cut some of the stalks to give the plants a opportunity to bush out more? If I do cut the back how much should I cut off. The long stalks I am talking about are around 18 inches long. They have gorgeous young leaves at the tip of each stalk and some young leaves or just sprouting leaves sporadically along the length of the stalks. What is your advice about the lemon balm and peppermint The strawberry plant has lost all it's leaves but 2 or 3 at the end of each stalk and a few new leaf buds that are barely sprouting new leaves. What should I do about the Strawberry plant? You can email me your response to laura Courtney @ rednckgirl314@hotmail.com with your response so it doesn't get lost in all of these comments. TIA.
Last year I grew basil and dehydrated it in my oven. This year I am making a nice culinary herb garden because I have always wanted to grow a lot of herbs. I am excited. So far I have chives, basil, mint, and sage. I will be growing a few others as well.
Thank you for the encouraging approach. The first "oh, I can do this!" step is so important. The bachelor window-box in my first flat grew me so much basil that I didn't need curtains anymore.
Thank you so much for the encouragement Lea! Love the video! Herbs really are such a gift from Abba! So excited for this “growing” season, both in the garden and in our hearts ❤️🥰
This was so helpful, I'm a chef and that was God given to learn and now He's teling me to grow herbs and vegetables for my own cooking so I'm here learning, I've started with Basil and and Ginger.
Finally moving into an apartment with a south west facing balcony. Definitely going to grow herbs. And thyme is my all-time favourite for hearty soups and stews in winter. ☺️
My son says you are awesome. He is going to be starting an herb garden in pots that we will transplant into the ground as soon as we get a big enough plant. We watched for training purposes. I am desperate to get mint, sweet mint, lemon balm, and mums established in my yard as we both suffer from severe allergies and he will get enormous welts off of mosquito bites. We tried and failed last year and weren't going to do it this year, but then one of the lemon balm plants came back! And then some of the mint!!! So we are trying again with more plants and seeds. Thanks so much for the much needed advice and encouragement. God bless you and James.
Thank you, I am planning to start an indoor herb garden... was feeling a little uncertain where to start, since I’ve not been successful in the past, and you’ve given me hope, encouragement, and a place to begin. Thx!!
I’m so glad I found your channel! My husband and I are about to move into a home and I am so excited to start an herb garden and berry bush and your channel is so helpful.
Have started a little pot of Oregano on our balcony. You have inspired me to venture further into the world of herbs. As always, I am so blessed by your videos. Shalom!
Hey! My 7 year old daughter Shaeleigh and I are going to give a small beginner herb garden a go. We picked up Basil, Cilantro and Thyme this afternoon and she and I are very excited! We will be back for tips and tricks! Also, she INSISTED that I comment! 😁
Thank you!! Feeling a lot more confident. Last year I got a strawberry pant and it didn’t even survive the weekend. I live in an apartment so I’m a “patio gardener” (or at least trying to be). I just bought sweet mint, greek oregano, and lemon balm to plant in a railing planter. I’m nervous but also excited!
Thank you for this video. Going to grow herbs for the first time in a Green stalk. Mostly all annuals because I live in a 4 season climate and I won’t be able to winter over the Green Stalk. I will plant lemon balm in the ground and see if it makes it. Thanks!
So interesting! I have basil and rosemary growing and I’m in Florida. The basil is thriving and my rosemary sadly hasn’t seemed to grow very much at all. The bottom of the stems are wilted. My basil has doubled in sized though! Not sure what I’m doing. I wouldn’t say I have a green thumb haha. These are my first little plants. Definitely a confidence boost hearing about the basil!
Thank you very much for your video was wonderful. We are currently micro green growers, we service, farmers market, and a few restaurants in the Apalachee mountains, of Northern Georgia .I am an active merchant Marine, getting ready to retire. As I retire, we want to expand our(my wife’s) homebase business. into herbs. Again, thank you wishing you the best for the coming new year. God bless stay safe.
This is my first year for seriously growing herbs. Lots to learn. Thank you for this very informational video and I'm looking forwarding to watching more of them.
Hi Lea, any chance you could do a podcast on gardening? I'm wanting to start a small garden here soon and would really appreciate your insight. Shalom 💕
I just got some pots and seeds and keep buying herbs for cooking. Figured I'd grow my own even though I have a black thumb. Informational video, thanks!
May God Bless you so Abundantly!! Thank you so much for this beautiful video full of both knowledge and God’s wisdom! I am starting my herbal gardening this year, so this was God’s perfect timing for me! Im beyond excited, words can’t even explain all the wonderful goodness that God placed in all these herbs. And anyone who reads this, God has His righteous and healing hand on you, and you found this for a good reason, let this bless your life in Jesus Name.
Shalom! I loved this video, thank you for sharing! My husband and I are newly married and living in an apartment, and I have no idea how to garden😅 But these basics are helpful! I think I'll start with a hanging herb garden🌱💕
I’m wanting to start a garden in the next few weeks. Please do more how-to videos like this concerning gardening of herbs, fruits, and veggies. That will be so helpful!
Blessings to you! I know it's almost May but I'm going to start with Basil, Oregano, Mint, and Lavender. I grew basil a couple of years ago and I loved it! I can't wait to grow it again.
Just got a new subscriber! Thank you so much for all your effort in these videos, I’m moving states soon and hoping to grow a garden for my little family of 3. God bless and wishing you healthy crops this year! 🤍
Thank you for doing this! For I am wanting to learn how to plant my own garden! I am seeing the times we are in and I am feeling the tugg inside of me to prepare me and mine for anything that is coming it's way and to Trust God!*

Loved your herb journal! If you do your cookbook, you should add that to it ;)
I second that ☝🏻☺️
I love the journal you show in the very beginning of the video!

I've really been wanting to start a herb garden but had no idea where to start. This video is very helpful, Thank you!
Me too.
Who's Abba?
Oh my goodness I wish I would have discovered your channel sooner! I love your vibe! 🌱🌿🤍🪴🙏🏼✨
God's gifts, right on!
How wonderful! Congrats on the new place. Happy growing
God bless you! Thank you for watching
Thank you, I am planning to start an indoor herb garden... was feeling a little uncertain where to start, since I’ve not been successful in the past, and you’ve given me hope, encouragement, and a place to begin. Thx!!

Herb gardening is such a blessing!
I’m so glad I found your channel! My husband and I are about to move into a home and I am so excited to start an herb garden and berry bush and your channel is so helpful.
First I am a gardener! My channel is centered all around growing my own food! So, with that said, your eyes are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!😯
I'm going to start with herbs next month. Mint, basil, Oregano, Parsley. I've grown before and definitely have a green thumb!
I'm starting a windowsill herb garden, this was helpful thanks! 🌿
I love the pause break... “there’s a chicken laying an egg 👀”
and what a gorgeous basket of colorful eggs!
I'm a complete beginner. Thank you for your advice.
Have started a little pot of Oregano on our balcony. You have inspired me to venture further into the world of herbs. As always, I am so blessed by your videos. Shalom!
Just started a garden yesterday, planted Rosemary, Dill, Basil, Mint, Sage, Oregano.
Hey! My 7 year old daughter Shaeleigh and I are going to give a small beginner herb garden a go. We picked up Basil, Cilantro and Thyme this afternoon and she and I are very excited! We will be back for tips and tricks! Also, she INSISTED that I comment! 😁
Good basic and easy to follow information and i love that you put the plant descriptions
I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
My zone is semi-arid lavender is doing VERY well . I am pulling up lavender plants and giving them away to friends to keep them under control.
Have mint, rosemary went nuts. Trying to get lemon balm started. Lovin' the smells ❤️ when the breeze blows through.
Loving this, live in a flat and grow outside my window! But the fact she says "urb" makes me so happy!
Perfect !
Faith and prayer will help herbs grow
Happy Sabbath !
Shalom achoti. Just starting an herb garden and you were my first source on UA-cam.
Beautiful video, herbs are true gifts, they have always helped me❤️🙏🌺🌼🌹
Thank you very much for your video was wonderful.
Shalom 💕
Wow my basil has been so nice to me😭 I’m a beginner but it’s so green and is growing so well!
First time viewer and absolutely subscribed! This video is hopefully step one on my journey to have an amazing herb garden!
You are a star. I'm hoping to grow in my herb gowing, 1st timer here :)
I was so happy to see that my chives and basil over wintered. Zone 9 here.
I just got some pots and seeds and keep buying herbs for cooking. Figured I'd grow my own even though I have a black thumb. Informational video, thanks!
wow this is SO helpful to me 🥺😍 i’m starting my own balcony garden tomorrow and i’m so grateful for your video, thank you so much sister 💞💗💕
You absolutely nailed this video. I couldn't figure out where to start, thanks for this information!

About to start a herb garden this year, my first time ever. I am so excited, wish me luck!!! 😬😬😬
I hope it's going well
I used to have a garden on my boat, and I was surprised how much stuff will grow in the ocean, snow peas, bok choy, lettuce, strawberries and more.
❤and God’s abundance of blessings to you!
Last question, where do you purchase your seed? Is it organic? Does that matter?
Blessings to you! I know it's almost May but I'm going to start with Basil, Oregano, Mint, and Lavender. I grew basil a couple of years ago and I loved it! I can't wait to grow it again.
Definitely not too late! Happy gardening 🍓
