I see alot of people asking but still a little confused, does it play through the car speakers connecting it too bluetooth without it being plugged into aux
I was wondering this as well. Is it really wireless? I would imagine you’d have to charge it somehow so either taking it in the house each night (which might be wise because of theft). Or it would have to be hooked up to aux. mine arrives today so I’m about to find out.
@@DefeatCraft It depends, does your car have auxiliary input? You'll either need Bluetooth OR auxiliary input for it to work. I just got rid of a car that didn't have either and I'm "upgrading" to one with auxiliary (yes, I'm that poor haha) and I'm buying one of these that works with auxiliary cables. I don't know about this exact model though.
I have had mine running for several weeks now. For the most part, I like it,, however there’s a couple of things I don’t like. Mine is mounted above the center dash. The screen is almost too dark in the daylight. Second, you cannot wear polarized sunglasses as the screen turn total black.
I recently installed my Lamtto RC07 connecting through the AUX output. Everything works fine until I make or receive a phone call. If I am listening to the radio or Spotify etc and I receive or make a phone call when I hang up, I no longer get any sound from whatever I was listening to previously, I have to restart the device in order to get the sound back. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Great video! Did you wind up hooking up the rearview camera? It didn't come with any instructions for mounting it. There are two wires one is the video cable the plugs directly into the unit and one is a little red wire. I assume it's a ground wire? Also how do you get the camera mounted? Do you just tuck the cable underneath the mountain inside the car and then slip it underneath one of the doors up underneath the car to the rear bumper or…? If you did this any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.!
Hey bro. I did not. Mainly because my car already has one built in. But also I feel like that’s above my grade of what I could do on my own. Sorry I wish i could help with that part
That is most likely the wire you splice into the back up light bulb wire that activates (comes live) when you put your car into reverse. Otherwise the camera would be on all the time.
@@colingoldthorpe5918 I have a similar unit and it doesn't have a black ground wire, is that something to be concerned about? would it short out the reverse light? Apologies, I'm fairly new to these installs. Thanks!
yea i don’t think red is a ground wire in any country. one wire would be for A/V and the other would be for power. the power wire runs off your reverse lights. google the make and model of your vehicle + reverse light wire color. fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞
Yes there is a power button on it. I believe you can power it down. I like that it automatically starts when the car starts though. Works more like a factory CarPlay
Hey man I was wondering if it’s loud? Because in the video it looked like there was no wiring for it so I’m assuming it doesn’t hook up the cars speakers or how’s the sound lookin like?
Heyy I got a question I’m not sure if you would know I was looking into getting one cause my radio not working right now and thought about getting this instead of replacing my radio but do u think it would still work regardless if my radio doesn’t work ?
Thanks for the review. One question, do you have issues with it remembering the date and time after it's been shut off? I noticed with mine (same model you review) this happens when I turn off the ignition. I also have a different model from LAMTTO which does the same thing. I noticed this when I used Google Maps at night, it wouldn't change from daytime to nighttime mode.
Is it easy to remove the display from the "platform" it's mounted to? I'd like to be able to remove it and/or hide it so it's not easily seen by thieves.
Hey man great video! I think you should do a follow up on how it’s held up after 6 months of use
ditto!

@shellyclark5834 mine arrived thursday, got it to hookup and it comes out of the speakers. You don't need an aux.

Question: How do you switch from Apple Car Play back to the cameras? I cannot find a way to do that short of unplugging from power.
I figured it out. When in ACP, hit the “apps” button in the lower left corner (little white squares), press the “home” button and select “DVR”.
Please make a video of the rear camera installation

Did you get any response or any one from the manufacture to help you on this?
Will the sound play through car speakers or only the device itself?
Speakers! It’s awesome
@@amazingrandomproducts .. ok because I only have the cigarette lighter hook up I was just wondering. Thanks 🙏🏽
Will the sun heat affect this unit?
No
You should of mounted this to show us what the actual finished assembly looks like - that's a big deal with these things.

Have your found a away around turn unit off at the unit instead of unplugging it from the dc outlet every time

Does it connect via bluetooth soyou can play music through car speakers? How is the sound quality through the unit?
Yes it does! As someone who’s used Bluetooth in my car for sometime, I feel it sounds at least adequate and good to me.
How do you get it to play in car speakers?
Hey man I was wondering if it’s loud? Because in the video it looked like there was no wiring for it so I’m assuming it doesn’t hook up the cars speakers or how’s the sound lookin like?
If you have an aux you can run it through that. Probably works the best that way. I did it with Bluetooth and it still sounded great in my opinion

I think it depends on “how your radio doesn’t work” do your speakers work? What do you mean exactly I guess
How does the backup camera work though? Does it know when you are in reverse?
You have to wire it yourself to the reverse light
Connect the red wire to the positive wire on one of your reverse lights
But How is the sound quality on the speakers? Thats whats really matter
If you have an aux input it will sound amazing. But I just use it with Bluetooth and imo it sounds great
Can this be connected to the car stereo by bluetooth?
Do you have to have a radio in your car for it to work
It has its own speakers but not as good quality as a car stereo speaker.

Yes it is
How is the Skisea so far these past months?
Still working great for me!
Did the music play on ur car speakers or that thing
Car speakers via Bluetooth because I did not have an aux input
So it can work without being plugged in at all?
How do you put the sticky part on the mount??
Remove the clear plastic, clean the surface with alcohol, and then stick it on.
Oh, but be careful. It could stick pernamently and someone could still it.
Does it support Netflix from your phone? For kids in the back
@Will-if7wp yeah some apps won't allow air play like paramount, Netflix, peacock, nfl network.
Can you change volume ?
Yes!
how do i watch movies on it? apple airplay is not working
i did use wifi to connect and put the password in and nothing is happening
it just says unable to connect to smart screen on every app that i try to connect
Only thing I hate is that the cord is visible in the car, you can’t hide it anywhere
Can you use this on a motorcycle?
I don’t think it would work for that
