I love this boat. It's probably a little bigger than most people need for cruising, but boy it would be fun to cruise around the world with a small group!
Beautiful boat but I would lay it out differently. This boat set up is really for rich party crowd (high end charter) and not family blue water cruising.
It has too many settees and sofas, everywhere you look. It could use a few more table and desk areas. I really don't understand that center forward "lounge" L-shaped sofa just inside the door. Why is that there? It's like the designer was just trying to fill up space but couldn't think of anything so they put another sofa. Aren't there already countless other areas where you can lounge too? Gorgeous boat though.
@@rogsolaris7411 I wouldn't want to be in rough seas with water and spray coming in towards that glass door and outside seating. It looks like a natural water trap. That sliding door facing forward is far and away the most troubling aspect to the design for me. While cats are stable under most circumstances and have a lot of benefits, the most annoying aspect (and this comes from someone who worked on one) is the constant loud slap of water as the chop and wave action pass between the twin hulls and rise up to strike the underside. Under normal circumstances you don't hear it, but when the weather get rougher and the boat plows through heavier seas it becomes a constant.

You be able to configure that boat with a galley on the upper deck with room left over for that day salon to be there. Too bad I'll never get the chance to own a boat like that lol

Amazing cruiser but how does it handle in rough seas with gusting winds 60-80 or even 100 knots? Would this thing flip over with its high center of gravity?
Definitely a charter only boat. The lack of staterooms is noticeable and I do not care for the downstairs galley. Whether cooking by crew or family, there is definitely entertainment in watching a chef, or an experienced family member. Besides, charter crews/guests are going to spend as much time as possible outside. Just my take.
Oğuzhan GÜNDÜZ - Cats sail easily, cost less to operate, and are very stable at sea. Because of their shallow draft, you can enter many areas that normal boats cannot such as tidal waters around islands. While not perfect, there is a reason they are popular. You can cook, dine, relax easily while on any other boats you would have difficulty doing so. Cats make for a stable and relaxed trip.
FYI: try and show the showers more like move your camera up and down so people can see the entire area. What we are seeing is not the full scope of what you are seeing.
I've viewed many different cats, and conventional boats and this one doesn't impress as much as it should. I think this the first boat review which has no TV. @@catamarancentral So Wiley, I have been in love with the Lagoons since the beginning when they came out with the original 55 back in the eighties. Hi Wiley, I have a general question. What are the easiest and largest sailing cats from Lagoon and Sunreef for a couple to sail trans-Atlantic themselves? Thank you.
I'm not Wiley, but I'd guess smaller is better for a couple. I'd bring along someone for the crossing (there's websites out there for finding people for this), then the size becomes much more manageable. The biggest problem is not so much the size of the boat, it's the fatigue when you're only two people doing all the tasks for 24/7 sailing. When you're at your destination, you should be able to handle everything below 60 feet. The biggest problem I see is keeping such a monster tidy. (Check out the channel Cat Greatcircle, they are a Dutch couple who bought an Outremer 55 and are sailing it around the world. They usually have some friend(s) on board, I think not so much because they can't cope but because having someone to share the load makes it much more enjoyable and easier. You might want to talk to them about their experiences.)
yes, it is big, that is all though, one of the things I did not like is all the sharp edges of almost every piece of trim or furniture, very dangerous in my opinion, one knock down and you have a split head or some other body part, but it is big!
I never thought there could be such a thing as TOO BIG A SAIL BOAT, but this might be the case. Lot of wasted space in the salon. No helm protection was another poor design. I think it has too much lounging areas relative to there only being three bedrooms, seems a bit unbalanced.
I could see this being in a marina in Monaco for parties. Anyone who owns one of these has a big house to go back to and isn't cruising much.
