    I love this boat. It's probably a little bigger than most people need for cruising, but boy it would be fun to cruise around the world with a small group!

    Beautiful boat but I would lay it out differently. This boat set up is really for rich party crowd (high end charter) and not family blue water cruising.

    • @thekehoeshow..
      @thekehoeshow.. 4 роки тому +5

      It's a charter boat. Literally made for high end parties. It's like saying a sportscar would be better with 4 doors... or you could buy a sedan.

      It has too many settees and sofas, everywhere you look. It could use a few more table and desk areas. I really don't understand that center forward "lounge" L-shaped sofa just inside the door. Why is that there? It's like the designer was just trying to fill up space but couldn't think of anything so they put another sofa. Aren't there already countless other areas where you can lounge too? Gorgeous boat though.

    • @timbowilderbeeste8709
      @timbowilderbeeste8709 3 роки тому

      @@rogsolaris7411 I wouldn't want to be in rough seas with water and spray coming in towards that glass door and outside seating. It looks like a natural water trap. That sliding door facing forward is far and away the most troubling aspect to the design for me.
      While cats are stable under most circumstances and have a lot of benefits, the most annoying aspect (and this comes from someone who worked on one) is the constant loud slap of water as the chop and wave action pass between the twin hulls and rise up to strike the underside. Under normal circumstances you don't hear it, but when the weather get rougher and the boat plows through heavier seas it becomes a constant.

    Beautiful ship, I watched the whole video I have to say over the last 10 years Catamarans have been updated to what the owners want on their ship, I think our family would opt for someone to take the helm while we enjoy the cruise. Our trips around the south Americas were the best, next is to enjoy the Pacific we seen enough of bad seamanship to make this decision. Thank you for the look around, Gary

    Wow! My family live on a Lagoon 55, I thought that was nice and now I see this... haha. We live around New Zealand, with a place in Nelson where my Mum is and it is great the way we get to go around New Zealand, but we are new to sailing and we have not left New Zealand on the boat yet. I am a 14 year old English boy (in other words, a human you would least expect to do this) and I would like to do property investment and management (same as my parents), I don't like swimming and rough seas. All of this but I absolutely love sailing a lagoon 55 and I may beg my parents for us to have a look at this wonderful Lagoon 77. I am now addicted to boats.

    Definitely a charter only boat. The lack of staterooms is noticeable and I do not care for the downstairs galley. Whether cooking by crew or family, there is definitely entertainment in watching a chef, or an experienced family member. Besides, charter crews/guests are going to spend as much time as possible outside. Just my take.

      Oğuzhan GÜNDÜZ - Cats sail easily, cost less to operate, and are very stable at sea. Because of their shallow draft, you can enter many areas that normal boats cannot such as tidal waters around islands. While not perfect, there is a reason they are popular. You can cook, dine, relax easily while on any other boats you would have difficulty doing so. Cats make for a stable and relaxed trip.

      Did you get the answer?

    • @realulli
      @realulli 2 роки тому

      I'm not Wiley, but I'd guess smaller is better for a couple. I'd bring along someone for the crossing (there's websites out there for finding people for this), then the size becomes much more manageable. The biggest problem is not so much the size of the boat, it's the fatigue when you're only two people doing all the tasks for 24/7 sailing. When you're at your destination, you should be able to handle everything below 60 feet. The biggest problem I see is keeping such a monster tidy.
      (Check out the channel Cat Greatcircle, they are a Dutch couple who bought an Outremer 55 and are sailing it around the world. They usually have some friend(s) on board, I think not so much because they can't cope but because having someone to share the load makes it much more enjoyable and easier. You might want to talk to them about their experiences.)

      @@MW-zm8sd…. I have a small cat, 37 foot and the births and other areas pretty well balance out. But the 77 foot has so much additional space, you could get lost for days :-)

    I don't know anything about sailing but how many persons would you need to sail it safely?

    I always love Wiley's reviews, nice and chilled (but then, the same can be said of the other Denison brokers). Would love to see Wiley review Hemisphere!

    I think it has too much lounging areas relative to there only being three bedrooms, seems a bit unbalanced.

      I could see this being in a marina in Monaco for parties. Anyone who owns one of these has a big house to go back to and isn't cruising much.

      Seems the trend in yachts in general. The cabins get bigger and bigger but often no more plentiful.

      You have option to choose from relative to sleeping and or any other specific request. Semi customizable boat.
      What you see on this video, it’s the choice of his owner. Not the factory.

    Nice boat with a lot of “settees”. Must be lazy folks on that boat. That being said the maintenance requirements on that thing should knock the lazy right outta of them.
