Tell the Wynns that I said Roll Tide Roll and I love my new boat......The Alabama! Great Video! -Cliff Battleship Marine Supply Fairhope, Alabama USA 🇺🇸 ♥️
I love that big black sail with HH88 in ghost. It really sets the boat off and I don't usually like black. The asymmetrical sail is very large and has terrific shape. Been watching Gone with the Winns for a while so it is good to see 2 channels meet up. I hope you can get new subscribers with them on board.
An extremely elegant looking sailboat under sail.... she looks commanding and confident . Red is not a color I would even consider, but seeing her underway, sails up, she is absolutely GORGEOUS! Super impressed with her light-wind sailing speed capabilities. You guys did good. Can't wait to see the Wynns HH underway. Great video guys, thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the comment, we appreciate the feedback and it's fun to hear that we are changing a few minds about the red. We have found that the depth of the colour hasn't really translated to a lot of the photography so far, so it's nice that people are getting a chance to see a bit more accurate representation of it now.
The Wynn's sure get around. I am seeing them on everyone's channel it seems. You boat is about 2x bigger than theirs. Can't wait to see her open up on a crossing. I bet she can do 16 knots with ease under sails.
In addition to seeing your trialing the big 88, It was fun seeing you put a pin in Xiamen, my first location in China back inJjuly of 1999. When I later married my Chinese wife I placed pins at her hometown of Gutian, Fujian which is about 150 km. inland from Fuzhou, and my hometown of Rochester, NY on a 10" globe and tied the 2 together with red twine which also approximated a great circle route between the 2. Too bad I can't share a photo. Nice to see my old neighborhood from a new vantage point. Ironically my first weekend in Xiamen our work group and a couple of Swedish women who were the local Expat welcoming committee rented a fishing boat for a day on the water between Gulangye and Haicang. It's a magical place but have respect for the 4 meter tide the currents were quite impressive!
Wow what an amazing day for everyone involved, you must feel very proud of what you and your team have achieved, she is a thing of beauty to my eyes! Thank you for sharing this with us! 👏👍😀🍾🍾🍾. Let the adventures begin! 😀
Hey Sean and entire HH team, you guys have built a beautiful vessel, exterior and interior. Performance is looking good. Looking forward to the remaining sea trial vids and beyond.
Couple questions: How big is your crew? What is the draft? And is there a way we can follow you on marine traffic? There's a bunch of boats with the same name and I can't find one that might be you.
Wow, I really appreciate this boat from the "get go" . A dedicated wash down faucet when the anchor is lifted! No more dirty chain lockers and no more mud stuck to the actual anchor. I hope that it is strong enough to rid the anchor of Kelp too.
Been watching the Wynns for yrs and this is how I found you guys. That was around 12hrs ago and I have sit up all night binge watching ALL your vids lol. Its nice to see the views finally getting up there where they should a been from the start IMO. So you stated from the first vid that this would be a more informative style and not about your lives and it was amazing to watch. But what now? The boat is almost finished and wow is she amazing. I understand you seem a bit privet but I would implore you to rethink sharing your lives with us now that we are hooked. Also even though your wife only did around 2 vids I have never seen such a natural in front of a camera and its where she belongs lol. So talk to the family and get em to accept a camera in there face and there lives public please. When you get this done let me know and I will sub and yep blackmail is exactly what It sounds like. For all the praise I will now give my critique. That little silver pin on the map will not cut it paint the sails red or something so we can actually see all of them in 5yrs from now. Bless you and your family and job well done.
To be honest Sean I wasn’t sure about the red hulls, but with sails up, I am a convert. Looks amazing! That will be quite a sight on the horizon! Love to get your continued feedback on lightning suppression system. You will be punching one amazing hole into the wind and water!!
I'd love to see your amazing boat one time, if you'd ever come near the Netherlands (e.g. Amsterdam harbour). Don't hesitate letting me know! I'm now planning a visit to another Catamaran that is docked there, but yours is exceptional...
It looks amazing, and the performance are golden. I bet there wil be a walk true on the Wynns channel soon :P Looking forward for next vlog, great work :)
Great to know Crazy Love not only sails, but sails well. I think I saw most of the sheets leading to winches in the pilothouse through an aperture in the forward side of it. How do you keep rain from spattering into the pilothouse? Can you keep the pilothouse well heated and air conditioned with an aperture open to outside weather?
Yes they do lead into the helm station in the fly. What you cant see in the video is that section you are wondering about has brushes that come down and keep both air and water from coming into the fly. So far we have not had an issue cooling the fly, and it is painfully hot here right now.
She is a a good looking ship. 88' in 7.7 knts wind running 6.3 knts SOG (@14:13)... ain't nothing wrong with that. Good catch Jason! Question same time mark - I see a STBD Depth; is there a PORT Depth? Fair winds...
I hope you do not have use that lighting suppressor but I sure would like some real world experience as whether they are any good or not. Look forward to see Nikki and Jason come aboard.
Another great episode and some impressive performance stats so far. Congratulations. And I'd just asked the Wynns if they'd run into you in China. Question answered. 😂
I am a big fan of dark woods and fine woodwork on yachts and sailing vessels. They make a huge difference for me. I just can’t see the fun exploring the world in something that looks like an apartment on the inside.
Thank you for the comment. There are a lot of options on this boat. I look forward to seeing what the numbers are for a more performance specified design brief.
Awesome video, do you have any load sensors on the rig? I’m guessing the design team will set the safe sailing parameters? Can’t wait to hear more detail as time goes on. Thanks for sharing.
The Wynns are building their HH44 at the same HH factory, They mention in their latest video that Sean had allowed them to tag along for the sea trail / sail trial. Looks like they've shared the drone footage which looked absolutely amazing!! Keep your eye on the Wynns channel as they will be releasing a video from their perspective of the sail!
One thing to note, was there any current in that area? I'm a old commercial fisherman and the current can really make a difference in boat speeds. Absolutely beautiful boat. I found your channel from watching Jason and Nikki's channel when they started there build.
Thank you for the comment. The Yacht was built in China. As we were doing sea trials we were required to fly the Chinese flag. We are currently in Japan flying our Cayman ensign.
What is funny every building or whatever that has that lightning ball suppression has never been struck by lightning. So when they try to get certified and they are asked what are the percentages it helps. How many times has lightning struck them. The answer to both is we don't know because lighting doesn't strike where these are never. Now the water still carries current so you need anther type of system that handles your prop shafts etc. in the water so that current doesn't come into your electric system of the boat.
Well that is something. I look forward to open ocean sea trials to see what she is really made of. Is it a costal boat or have you made a world traveling palace?

I think many of us got here due to the Wynns and stayed for the lovely boat! Big! Bold. 😅😅😊😊
Thank you for the comment. Look forward to more videos.
Oh yes! the Wynns! Amazing couple building their own HH here!
Yes, we have got to know each other well.

That is the epitome of "SWEEEET" !!!!
Niki and Jason on board also sweet.
SERIOUSLY NICE HH BUILD.
Thank you for the comment.
Congrats guys it's great to see such down to earth people sharing their sailing journey. Nice seeing the Wynns too :)
Thanks so much!
My God! Thats the most beautiful sailing boat I've ever seen UA-cam! 😮
Wow, thank you!
I watch GoneWithTheWynns and noticed that your boat is also an HH. Surprised that they were on board!
We are both building with the same yard. We have had the great opportunity to get to know each other.
Absolutely beautiful, and HUGE yacht.
Subscribed.
Thanks for the sub!
Pretty fast boat. Nice to see it out out sailing.
Thank you for the comment. We are pretty excited as well.
She is SO BEAUTIFUL under sail! Gave me the chills! And the height of the mast is CRAZY!!!!!! Best of luck!
Thank you! Cheers.
What a boat. What a journey.🎉
Thank you.
This yacht is super impressive!! I’m super impressed with HH and it was awesome to see Nikki and Jason!!
Thank you for the comment. HH has done an exceptional job.
Looking forward to The Wynn's video on this.. beautiful yacht.
Us too!

Thank you for the comment. The tides are very impressive here. Gulangyu, is pretty fun.
The black sails looks absolutely amazing!! Gorgeous sailboat. Fabulous job.
Thank you for the comment.
Beautiful ..Gorgeous boat!! Absolutely love the color. May God bless all of your travels!
Thanks so much!
I think this is what the future looks like in terms of yachts, congratulations!
Thank you for the comment, Much appreciated.

I think so too!

I have no idea how you are keeping your composure through this exciting time. 😊
Thank you for the comment. There was a day where I didn't film at all for that exact reason.
This HH is epic, loving those huge B&G helm screens.
Thank you, they are great to use.
The Wynns are on board!? Loved this and all your videos that I have recently discovered. Your new cat is gorgeous! 🤙🏼
Yes the Wynns were on board for one of the sea trial days.
So cool! Watching you on the Wynns now. Looking forward to following your back story! Congratulations on this beautiful boat!
Thank you, happy you found us.
Wow, I really appreciate this boat from the "get go" . A dedicated wash down faucet when the anchor is lifted! No more dirty chain lockers and no more mud stuck to the actual anchor. I hope that it is strong enough to rid the anchor of Kelp too.
This is the fixed anchor wash, there are 2 additional hand helds. Hopefully they will do the job.
Stellar!
Congratulations, such a stunningly beautiful vessel. 😍
Thank you for the comment, we are extremely excited about it.
Everything looks amazing! Love the lightning suppressor.

The boat looks like its just a render still with those drone shots. So clean.
Thank you for the comment.
Love the Wynns!
Congratulations, what a wonderful start to your sailing future.
Thank you so much!
Absolutely fantastic , Fair winds & Following seas ..... Did you look at the Kiwi boomfurler for the main ?

Very soon!
What a beautiful sea monster you have. You are going to need full time crew. There is no way you can single handle that beauty.
Actually, it can be single handed. But we do have a full time crew.
11:30 Wow. Jason there as well. He surely is one of my favourite UA-cam sailors.
Congratulations on your amazing yacht.
Thank you! Cheers!
Massive yacht. Wow!
Thank you, it has been a long time in the making.
Wat een prachtig schip ongelofelijk mooi model en kleur topper 👍
Before you even said it was Jason Winn it was obvious by his signature pink shorts.😂
good call.

that huge boat hardly disturbs the water at all when motoring or under sail
I hope you do not have use that lighting suppressor but I sure would like some real world experience as whether they are any good or not. Look forward to see Nikki and Jason come aboard.
Thank you for the comment. We have the same sentiments about it.
Realistically, how many crew does one need to go cruising on this beauty?
We have a crew of 3, not including ourselves. The vessel is easily managed by 2, it is the preventative maintenance that takes a while...
Another great episode and some impressive performance stats so far. Congratulations. And I'd just asked the Wynns if they'd run into you in China. Question answered. 😂
Good call!
Beautiful boat. Ive never seen a yacht painted red. How tall is the mast? I wouldn’t want to be the guy that has to be hoisted to the top on seas.
Mast is 35 meters tall.

Like the B&G...better then the Garmin that I have.
Awesome. very cool.

I'm just curious how much that yacht cost
Pretty cool 👏👏👏
Thanks!
A long way for you. All about the money.
Awesome video, do you have any load sensors on the rig? I’m guessing the design team will set the safe sailing parameters? Can’t wait to hear more detail as time goes on. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the comment. Yes we do have load cell pins on all the standing rigging that feeds back to the MFD's
Okay, how did the Wynns end up on board ????

Yes, we have had the opportunity to get to know each other as we are building in the same yard.
Jason and Nikki...we need a bigger boat
it has been great getting to know them.
OMG are we going to see you “fly a Hull”??? ❤️❤️❤️
Ha, hope not, we are not made to hull fly, we have done 19 knots though.
@@sketchtosea3750thank you for Responding and Happy Safe Sailing 💙💙💙
what is the brand of your solar cells? They appear to be able to withstand people walking on them and that is what I am looking for for my Nordhavn.
They are solbian brand panels which use sunpower cells. They are made to walk on.
Sean! She's beautiful under full sail!! Congratulations to another milestone on this journey.
What's the height of the main sail?
Thank you for the comment. The mast is 35meters tall.
Woohoo! Sailing!
We know, its been a long time in the making.
Bloody Wynns popping up on all the channels I follow. If they appear with Sam the Cooking Guy I'm going to think they have cloned themselves.
Ha, they have been building with HH, where we have been working on this project with HH for the past 4 years.
Those pins will get hard to see. Finger nail paint can be used. even color code by year. Then you can track by each year.
I like the idea of painting the pins, we were going to use color coded thread for the journeys.
One thing to note, was there any current in that area? I'm a old commercial fisherman and the current can really make a difference in boat speeds. Absolutely beautiful boat. I found your channel from watching Jason and Nikki's channel when they started there build.
Yes, the current can be up to 4knts. In our MFDs we have both boat speed and speed over ground, Boat speed is through the water...
I want one! It would take me 3 lifetimes to get this, maybe 4. A girl can dream.
Love the video. The Wynns should always retrieve the drone flying it backwards, not straight on. It is 99% easier.
Thank you for the comment. I will pass it on next time I see them.
I'm looking at a 14-berth model in Catana. Would this company do the same.
14 state rooms or 14 guests?
What a boat
É um barco muito bonito e crazy... só pra rico
The boat looks great. what like to ask is, can work to fix problems easy or do you need cut to get to some parts.?
In general everything is over the counter available. We are departing with a full inventory of spare with almost a 15kUSD value.
wow, what a big piece of boat, amazingly elegant, China flag? where you are?
Thank you for the comment. The Yacht was built in China. As we were doing sea trials we were required to fly the Chinese flag. We are currently in Japan flying our Cayman ensign.
1:24 let’s check out Starbord, he says, while heading towards Port side 😮
Thank you for pointing this out, there was text added in to clarify...

This is a global capable vessel.
Is this the one wynns did an episode on?
That episode has not come out yet, but this is the boat in the background of their latest episode.
@@sketchtosea3750 who just realized how much bigger yours is. Wow.
How much is a down payment for HH8803?
That all depends on what options you put inside the vessel.
Epic

Why is the ship registered in China?
It is actually registered in the Cayman Islands. During sea trials we were required to fly a Chinese flag.
Paint the bottom half of the

Good point.
10.5 in 14? That's impressive.
Just finished haul out where we made a few more changes to the vessel which will likely improve that number.
Cumon! For the price of this yacht, why isn't it ready to sail from the builder or at least the broker? Installing reflective tape on the mast to mark reefing points? The builder should have riveted reflectors there.
(If cars were sold like boats.) "Hey there new car buyer! I have a delightful luxury car for you at this amazing price! Great, glad we have come to an agreement. Now, would you like tires and maybe even turn signals to make your dream come true useable?"
Just a reminder, we are still in the sea trials process. We have not taken possession of the vessel which is why we get to see all of this. This was not a broker sold boat either, it was owner commissioned.
Cool.
It’s fucking spectacular. My only complaint is that I’m not sailing on her 😂
Thank you for the comment.
Pins need to. Be red or red sails to represent your boat
Good point, will see what we can do.
Great boat, or should we call her a ship, wish I could have a time on her, that wouldn't happen in my life time.
What ‘ s the brand name of this boat?
It is an HH Catamarans 88.
