Seeing so many emotions in a short period of time was refreshing. How awesome it is to just see this process of writing a book happen, amongst all of the other moving parts of life!! Miss you, you're so wonderful.
Thanks friend! Part of me regrets that the rough days resulted in skipped videos instead of really showing the low points, but I think that it still tells a full story. I'm glad people appreciate all my varying levels of coherence.
I know you now have a family and are very busy, but I do miss these Nano wrap up videos. Always loved seeing you work and completing this awesome challenge. Hearing that you also struggled, but powered through. Helped me a lot. And even now, on the beginning of Nano 2021, I am rewatching all your wrap up videos. Hope your month is going well and don't forget to be awesome. 💖
Thank you for making this video every year. You DO have a voice here. You help inspire me to go out and write what I’ve always wanted to write. One year I found one of your NaNo videos and spontaneously decided to do Camp NaNo. I wrote 125K+ words in a story I’d been dreaming about my whole life, all because you’re hard work and dedication inspired me. This year I tried something new and wrote a fanfiction rather than an original story for the first time, and I won NaNo, yet, like you, still didn’t finish the story. But what you’ve done helps me to keep writing, one word after another, no matter how long it takes to reach the end.
I absolutely love your video's! They give me the energy to write again! I'm only 14 😂 but I finished my first part of my novel a week ago with 79.000 words and now writing part 2 and today I hit the 93.000 words and i'm so happy! I kinda hold my own nanowrimo with a writing group and your videos always help us!
I don't know if you will read this Kristina but I want to thank you. I write short stories and I have a huge want to write longer stories, novel length stories. Your videos and your NaNo song really inspire me and aid me to keep focus. I have had two successful NaNo's. 2011 and 2017 and I am really happy with what I have written so once again I thank you. I send you best wishes for your future.
I've missed you. Your videos gave me a push to read more, which is something I love but had been neglecting. I've read over 20 books every year for the last three years and feel like my inner kid is so much happier for it.
I am so glad you made another video! And, I wanted to thank you. Four years ago, I learned about a little thing called NaNoWriMo all thanks to your videos. And although I wanted to join, it was already mid November and I told myself there was no way. Next year. Next year would be the one! But it wasn't until this year that I finally sat my butt down and fulfilled the childhood wish. I wrote and finished a novel. And it all started with your videos! XD So, Thank you Kristina Horner, for everything. :) May your marriage be bliss, may your days be long, and may every moment be filled with laughter!
Congrats for another nanowrimo. I miss your videos very much, you were the first youtuber I suscribed. I hope in the future you find the time and motivation to post more frequently.
Yay! I hoped this video was coming. Even though I don't participate in NaNoWriMo, I always look forward to your video each year so I can go on this journey with you
I love these videos so much, I reference them heavily during the times of Nano where I am doubting my ability to finish those 50k as a reminder that it is possible, so thank you for that!
The twelfth time! It's getting so it doesn't seem like Christmas without one of these videos. Congratulations on another win. It may have been a tough year but your channel makes it so much better.
So glad to hear from you again! I know everyone has been saying it, but you truly are an inspiration! I have been trying to complete NaNo for 6 years and I haven't hit my mark but it's people like you who get me to keep trying, even in the "off months". Thank you so much
I remember when I first started watching your videos 9 years ago and seeing that you've taken a break but came back and made a NaNo video makes me so happy. I've always found that seeing these NaNo videos always inspires me a lot and I always remember you when setting out to begin NaNoWriMo. Hope all is going well in your life and wishing you all the best.
Glad to see you again! I’ve really missed you! Hoping you’ll be back a little more regularly now, your videos bring me a lot of happiness, they always have! *supportive vibes*
Congrats on winning :) It was wonderful to watch a new video from you :D You were one of the first youtubers I subscriebed to and your still one of my absolute favorites.
I used to write, and then I went to college and puff... Anyway, every year I think "This is THE year I'll do NaNoWriMo!" and somehow, there's always something that gets in the way. I guess I should try to write little things before I try something that big. Congratulations on winning ;)
It’s so lovely to see a video of yours go up, it was interesting to see so many emotions happening in such a short space of time, it certainly makes me feel better about my mood swings!!
I’ve been watching UA-cam videos recently at 1.5 speed because I just don’t have enough time to watch everything I want to watch, but I felt like this was a video that needed to be truly experienced at normal speed and I appreciated slowing down and enjoying it fully
your videos are like a warm hug from an old friend. while ofc i miss your videos, i rly respect and admire your decision to step away for a bit, especially if you've been having a rough time! i'm also so glad nano helped you remember how humans can be pretty alright sometimes!! i hope you continue to take care of yourself
I know some people will say "this made me tear up" but your comment legitimately did. thank you for reminding me that nano people are not magical elves that only come out in november. our best is all we can do and ive missed strangers on the internet saying nice and smart and encouraging things to me because you're all wonderful
First of all I've missed your videos so much. Secondly I can really relate to the bad mental health bit in the beginning of November. This was my 8th year doing NaNo and I didn't really have an idea of what I was going to write or even what I wanted to write. I got some poetry written but didn't even pass the 5k mark this year, and yet that feels okay because I know that I wasn't feeling great, I didn't really have a lot of time and also, some of the things I actually got written down were things I really needed to write for myself. I find it amazing that you pulled through and wrote so much despite feeling low and I'm yet again so inspired by your determination. Hope you're feeling better and congratulations on winning, you're a star
This is such a lovely video. I'm so proud of you for winning this yet another year and I'm so happy for you that you managed to overcome so many things and this just made me feel really happy and emotional and I wish you all the best always and also I've missed your videos so it's so wonderful to see you on my screen again!
I got married this year and I also didn't know what a commitment it would be. It is a job. So add your real job, wedding planning, and everything else... it is tough! But I can tell you, it is totally worth it. I did the majority of my planning in this crappy year, but somehow managed to have the best day. I think we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to be perfect at everything, but that is unrealistic. Take your victories where you can get them. I am so glad you had a good Nanowrimo experience and good luck with your wedding! It was good to hear from you.
Watching this really made me realise how many years I've been watching you! I've followed you doing this project for at least the past 6 years or so, which is incredible when you think about it
Another congratulations is in order for surviving another NaNo! I was so excited to see you made this video! I look forward to it every year. You have been the main reason I do it every year. I absolutely never come close to winning, but seeing you tweet about your journey and then getting to see it in video form every year truly inspires me! I surpassed my personal goal this year and seeing that I in fact can accomplish writing 30,000 words in a month, I know I will eventually join the ranks of NaNo winners like you some day!
always look forward to these videos every year! this year was my first time winning nanowrimo!!!! and it was very exciting but my book was not even close to being done so i've been continuing the process through december. i hope to actually read one of these books you keep writing one of these days, kristina!
Yay! I'm so excited to see this video. I found your other NaNoWriMo videos this month while writing and looking for encouragement, and so was looking forward to this one. Congrats on your 12th win! :D
If you never make any other videos, I hope you will continue to make these ones. During NaNo, I always look forward to your video coming out and I watch your old one's to encourage me to keep writing when the month gets tough. This year was particularly rough for me (also due to poor mental health), but I made it through, so thanks for continuing to inspire me!
If I needed any more proof that we're the same person, Day 15 was it. It's a good reminder that even after 12 years and so many years spent over 50k, this is not an easy thing to do. #winetuesday
I feel like you need to release these videos on the 31st October the following year as you always make me so inspired to do NaNo again and then it’s 11 months away... congrats on winning again!!
Camp's in April in July. Rules are a little more relaxed. I usually use those to do 2nd draft and beyond. Also, my novels are usually in the 40K range after first draft editing.
I was so excited to see your video in my subscription box! I hope you start feeling better after having so many emotions this last year. You've been such a huge role model to me since I was in 8th grade (I'm 21 lol) and I hope you begin to feel like you're helping others the way you've truly helped me. I really hope your wedding planning is going well, too! I am recently engaged so I haven't gotten to the overwhelming stages yet that I'm sure you've had, but as someone who is planning a wedding as well I would love to see some of your process/ideas! Understandably that might be too personal, but it would be cool to see - even just on social media! I'm sending good vibes and prayers that you start to feel less overwhelmed and I hope NaNoWriMo was as good as an outlet for you as it seemed to be.
I really want you to know that your Nano song inspired me to win for the first time out of 8 attempts. Thank you for all your videos. I am in love with having an actual first draft to edit and I couldn't have done it without your encouragement. Thank you so much.
I love these videos every year! Even though I've only done NaNoWriMo once, this video inspired me to possibly pick up my writing again. Even if you don't feel like your voice is the most important one out there, your videos could always be helping someone without you even realizing it.
Kristina!! It was so nice to see you again!! I'm happy for you and your book, excellent work! And good for you for taking time away from wedding planning...it can be so incredibly stressful. There is so much that you learn about what wedding planning entails once you start! Most importantly remember that our wedding is about you and Joe and your future...not pleasing everyone else. Best wishes.
I always try to do NaNoWrimo, but my college classes always get in the way. That's what happens when you're an english major. I always mention to add a couple thousand words to a creative writing project I already have going, so I guess that better than nothing at all.
I can't believe you were able to write that much with even the thought of wedding planning looming in your mind! I took the easy way out on a lot of my wedding planning and still spent more nights than not sitting in bed crying. Don't lose faith in your vision on any of your projects. You are talented and capable and everything will work out exactly the way it will work out. Life happens. Nothing is perfect. But everything will still work out. Good luck.
i have missed your content so much! so happy to see you keeping this up :) hoping for more videos if you find any free time but keep doing you and living your life! much love to you
I absolutely LOVE your NaNo vids, and I was afraid you weren't doing NaNo this year. Wedding planning? That's exciting. My husband and I cheated. We did a courthouse wedding with the intention of doing a ceremony and renewing our vows for our ten-year anniversary. We'll be halfway there early January. Congrats on another NaNo win and good luck with all your wedding plans!
CONGRATS! Wow, I can't beleive you did that in a month, I finished a 60k word draft that I started LAST November... video's like this definitely encourage me to step it up :D
Kristina, I bet sometimes you wonder if you should do these videos every year along with your NaNo project, but I'm glad you do. These videos are so inspiration and give me all the motivation I need to start writing or to continue writing. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for the writing community.
I love watching your Nano video every year. I didn't do it myself this year, but this kind of made me wish I had. (KIND of. It would not have been a good idea.)
I chose not to do Nano this year because it's my first semester in my master's program. And considering how last minute things have gone with assignments towards the end, it's a good thing. It's probably not in the cards for me next year either given that I'll be finishing up my first semester of writing my thesis, but I do plan on participating in Camp Nano this July. I've looked forward to your wrap up videos for the past few years now. I did the same thing you did last year, but I'm glad to see things went so well in the end this year!
Our experiences have been very similar this year. Between school troubles and car troubles and wedding planning and my novel being too short it was a rough month. I'm glad we were both able to finish this past month. This was my 7th year in a row and I'm glad I did it. Only 51000 and change but it's allowed me to plan for my next few novels and gotten me back into working on smaller projects. I've missed watching your videos! I totally get your reason though. Don't worry. We'll still be here :-)
I've only recently found your videos, but I'm planning on watching as many NaNo logs as I can ASAP! It's really motivating and uplifting and inspiring to hear you talk about how you make it through the month and to the word count. It gives me motivation to follow in your footsteps this year as I attempt to survive NaNo. Are you planning on doing another one of these this year?
Mine is MOSTLY made up of friends, and friends of friends, and it's been around for 2 years so it's morphed and grown and shrunk and grown again over the years, but there are organizations that put on writing classes and whatnot (its different in all areas) that you could meet other writers at, or the NaNo write-ins put on by your MLs are another good place to meet writers who might want to meet regularly.
You've spent an entire YEAR of your life doing NaNoWriMo! How does that feel?
Omg WOW. That didnt even occur to me, and now imagining them all smooshed together like that is giving me so much anxiety haha.
@@Kristina did you make a 2018 video?
I have genuinely missed your videos so much.
I really appreciate that. I'll try not to disappear for so long next time. :)
Honestly can't even express how much your NaNoWriMo videos inspire me. Thank you so much for keeping this going for so many years.
It's hard not to at this point. :) thank you for the kind words.
You're one of the main reasons I was brave enough to attempt NaNoWriMo this year. You're just such a delight and I always look forward to your vids
Thank you so much!! And CONGRATS on your win!!!

Thank you so, so much and congrats to you on your wins!
I got so excited when this came up in my notifications! I look forward to these videos every year!
I've missed you. Your videos gave me a push to read more, which is something I love but had been neglecting. I've read over 20 books every year for the last three years and feel like my inner kid is so much happier for it.
That is so terrifically wonderful. :) Thanks so much for sharing.
I am so glad you made another video!
And, I wanted to thank you.
Four years ago, I learned about a little thing called NaNoWriMo all thanks to your videos. And although I wanted to join, it was already mid November and I told myself there was no way. Next year. Next year would be the one!

So, Thank you Kristina Horner, for everything. :)

This is SO SWEET thank you and a super huge congrats for your win! I knew you could do it.
Congrats for another nanowrimo. I miss your videos very much, you were the first youtuber I suscribed. I hope in the future you find the time and motivation to post more frequently.
Your encouragement means everything. :)

You're very welcome.
The twelfth time! It's getting so it doesn't seem like Christmas without one of these videos. Congratulations on another win. It may have been a tough year but your channel makes it so much better.
Watching this felt like meeting up with a friend you haven't seen in a while. Congrats on winning!
that is the nicest thing

You're welcome! It will happen one of these years.
These videos got me into NaNoWriMo in the first place. I just want to say thank you. You're the best :)
You are very, very welcome.
I remember when I first started watching your videos 9 years ago and seeing that you've taken a break but came back and made a NaNo video makes me so happy. I've always found that seeing these NaNo videos always inspires me a lot and I always remember you when setting out to begin NaNoWriMo. Loved seeing you on my screen again! Thanks for sharing your Nano experience with us and always remember to Enjoy the little things in life!
Glad to see you again! I’ve really missed you! Hoping you’ll be back a little more regularly now, your videos bring me a lot of happiness, they always have! *supportive vibes*
thank you so much for sharing that with me! I will try. ^^

Writing a little bit here and there still amounts to a lot over time. ;)
It's a habit I have to regain ;) Are you still working on the story?
It’s so lovely to see a video of yours go up, it was interesting to see so many emotions happening in such a short space of time, it certainly makes me feel better about my mood swings!!
I’ve been watching UA-cam videos recently at 1.5 speed because I just don’t have enough time to watch everything I want to watch, but I felt like this was a video that needed to be truly experienced at normal speed and I appreciated slowing down and enjoying it fully
This is just about the highest compliment I can imagine. Thanks for taking November at my speed.
your videos are like a warm hug from an old friend. while ofc i miss your videos, i rly respect and admire your decision to step away for a bit, especially if you've been having a rough time! i'm also so glad nano helped you remember how humans can be pretty alright sometimes!! i hope you continue to take care of yourself
I know some people will say "this made me tear up" but your comment legitimately did. thank you for reminding me that nano people are not magical elves that only come out in november. our best is all we can do and ive missed strangers on the internet saying nice and smart and encouraging things to me because you're all wonderful

Hope you're feeling better and congratulations on winning, you're a star
Welcome back! And congrats on finishing another Nano!
I'm so happy you are back on youtube! Congrats for writing your book Kristina !! :)
This is such a lovely video. I'm so proud of you for winning this yet another year and I'm so happy for you that you managed to overcome so many things and this just made me feel really happy and emotional and I wish you all the best always and also I've missed your videos so it's so wonderful to see you on my screen again!
thanks so much. this is a lovely comment as well.
I got married this year and I also didn't know what a commitment it would be. It is a job. So add your real job, wedding planning, and everything else... it is tough! Yay! I'm so excited to see this video. I found your other NaNoWriMo videos this month while writing and looking for encouragement, and so was looking forward to this one. Congrats on your 12th win! :D

I'm not sure it will ever get easier, but friends help.
Nice to see you again Kristina, congrats on another month well spent!
I look forward to seeing these videos every year. You're one of my writing inspirations.
I feel like you need to release these videos on the 31st October the following year as you always make me so inspired to do NaNo again and then it’s 11 months away... congrats on winning again!!
Hahaha. Well there's always Camp NaNo in April... or a backlog of these to watch in October!!
I'm sending good vibes and prayers that you start to feel less overwhelmed and I hope NaNoWriMo was as good as an outlet for you as it seemed to be.
It really was, and thank you! Good luck planning your own wedding, and I talk about it a little bit on Twitter!
I'd love to give this a go next year but I can't imagine writing so many words each day. I think it's worth the challenge though.
Definitely worth the challenge.
TheRainydayvideo Reserve the imagination to the flow of the stories, not the process how to finish it. It is worth it, we promise :)
I really want you to know that your Nano song inspired me to win for the first time out of 8 attempts. Thank you for all your videos. I am in love with having an actual first draft to edit and I couldn't have done it without your encouragement. Thank you so much.
I just love your NaNoWriMo videos. Thanks for doing it again. ❤️
I love these videos every year! Even though I've only done NaNoWriMo once, this video inspired me to possibly pick up my writing again. Even if you don't feel like your voice is the most important one out there, your videos could always be helping someone without you even realizing it.
that is very nice of you. thank you.
I always try to do NaNoWrimo, but my college classes always get in the way. That's what happens when you're an english major. I always mention to add a couple thousand words to a creative writing project I already have going, so I guess that better than nothing at all.
There's always Camp NaNo in April and July.
Was so happy when I saw your video pop up in my subscription box. Congratulations on winning Nanowrimo. You go girl.
Thank you for your WriMo videos!) They are so emotional, touching and full of motivation
I can't believe you were able to write that much with even the thought of wedding planning looming in your mind! I took the easy way out on a lot of my wedding planning and still spent more nights than not sitting in bed crying. Don't lose faith in your vision on any of your projects. This is the nicest and most helpful comment. Thank you so much.
So happy to see you doing a video again! Hope you come back to videos more often!
i have missed your content so much! so happy to see you keeping this up :) hoping for more videos if you find any free time but keep doing you and living your life! much love to you
hey thanks
I absolutely LOVE your NaNo vids, and I was afraid you weren't doing NaNo this year. Wedding planning? That's exciting. My husband and I cheated. We did a courthouse wedding with the intention of doing a ceremony and renewing our vows for our ten-year anniversary. We'll be halfway there early January. Congrats on another NaNo win and good luck with all your wedding plans!
CONGRATS! Wow, I can't beleive you did that in a month, I finished a 60k word draft that I started LAST November... video's like this definitely encourage me to step it up :D
I'm so glad that Nano ended up being so good and healing for you. ❤️ Congrats on winning too
It was so good to see your face and hear you talk. Way to go this year in NaNo! *high five*
I'm still here waiting if she did 2018 or 2019.
I always love these videos. Great job, Kristina!
Yay, Kristina! I love how much nano means for you. It's awesome :-)
Girl, what are you doing getting me all emotional??!! This was super inspiring :) Time to write!
It's so nice to see you again! Take care! :)
Kristina, I bet sometimes you wonder if you should do these videos every year along with your NaNo project, but I'm glad you do. These videos are so inspiration and give me all the motivation I need to start writing or to continue writing. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for the writing community.
Love the video, and love seeing your face here again! (also, hi Joe and buddy Justin and writing friend Liz!) Congrats on your effin' 12th nanonovel!
thanks girl!!!
Congratulations! Love your Nanowrimo videos! So inspiring 💜 📚 💜
I love your NaNoWriMo vlogs :) hopefully one day I'll be able to read one of your books!
I hope so too! I promise it's a very near-future goal.
you're back!!! i missed your uploads!!
So good to see you on UA-cam again!
Good to see you in my subscription feed. :) Congrats on your 12th nano!
Im joing for the first time this year and I'm half exited en half panicing already
I love watching your Nano video every year. I didn't do it myself this year, but this kind of made me wish I had. (KIND of. It would not have been a good idea.)
Love these videos! Congrats on winning again!
I always love seeing this video from you. Congratulations!
Thankyou so much for the video Kristina!!!!! You are incredible!! 💕💛💚💙💪🏾
Congratulations again on winning! Good luck with all of your other projects.
We'll still be here :-)
you guys are all SO NICE i cant stand it
also seven wins is amazing and I hope you feel so amazing about that
I've only recently found your videos, but I'm planning on watching as many NaNo logs as I can ASAP!
It's really motivating and uplifting and inspiring to hear you talk about how you make it through the month and to the word count. It gives me motivation to follow in your footsteps this year as I attempt to survive NaNo.
Are you planning on doing another one of these this year?
I've really missed you on UA-cam! Your voice is one that I enjoy hearing :)
Who else is benging on all the nanowramo vlogs!🙌🏻
I always love these videos, Kristina! Good luck with the last five months of wedding planning!
I love it! Just curious as to whether you have filmed one for 2018???
LOVE YOU KRISTINA! THIS WAS AMAZING
i love your hair!! i'm glad you had a good experience! i did too :)
I'm so glad you have another video up!
How did you find a writing group? I think that would help me get back on track with writing. Happy to see another video from you.
Just came across this and im so happy i did! ❤
Missed you Kristina! Chelsea is so nice to drive you around!
I love all of you vids. Keep posting
