@Spellcaster86 "how hard is it to edit your own?" your not paying somebody to do the work for you - you are paying for both a proffesional opinion and well-informed outside perspective. Pro editors are proffesionals with valuable insight. Pro editing is essential to refine a book for large scale publishing. They do an awful lot of work and deserve to be paid lol
you did amazing this year! and i am OBSESSED with those kittens. this was my best year so far. it was my first time not doing YWP and i hit 50000 as well as finished my story. i was so happy with how this year went :)
Just realized we were at the Louvre on the same day. Haha And wow, going to Disneyland on a public holiday, crazeh! Hope it wasn't too bad. Glad you enjoyed your time in France and it inspired you to write so much.
I don't watch nearly as much youtube as I used to (senior year is kicking my ass) but I'll always take the time to watch your nano videos. They're inspiring and fascinating and I love getting to join you on the journey.
Amazing video =D thank you for inspiring so many to begin writing , to express ourselves through words . I could not do NaNo this year and I feel low because of it , but you helped me realize that writing is not just for a month , but for a lifetime .So , long story short , just wanted to thank you again ,because you inspired me and writing changed my life :)
You did so well this year it's fantastic! Due to workload, I had to bail on mine but I want to continue it over the year. Thank you for inspiring me to try it and good job at kicking so much ass this year!
Woo I went to that cave a few years ago, it was so magical! Also my friend ran up all those steps faster than it took us to get the lift. I was like "ok girl i get it, i need to eat fewer croissants" :P xxx
Congrats! I've looking forward to watching this video all month. France looks so pretty, and I'm glad you had a good time there. I only wrote about 14,000 words this year, but I don't think I wrote any unnecessary fluff that I'm going have to take out later so hopefully it balances out
Aw the cats are cute! But I have BARELY touched my novel since I finished NANOWRIMO, and every day that passes by I feel more an more guilty because I have such high hopes for it. It's my fault though, I just haven't sat my butt down and worked on it :P All the self discipline I had during November-gone!
I decided that I'm going to do nano again next year (after a two year break). I missed writing along with all the other nanowriters :-) Great video Kristina!
Wow, the 11-th time!) You are real champion, Kristina. And thank you for sharing your story about French trip, it's amazing) and kittens, of course 💖 I've got a kitty, too. She likes sleeping on my knees, that also helps my writing.
Well at least you remember to film even when you forgot about it. Me?Im scripting. yep. prepping for my video. And trying to see what works. So far I have a title, genre and a basic summary of the book. Not very much done but plotting is where I hit rock bottom every time. But this is my first time challenging myself to write a novel in 30 days. can I do it?Yazzzz Bitches!I so totally can! Thanks btw for this awesome video. I think in gonna record my progress too.
Your word count is incredible- I couldn't even get to 25k this year. NaNo just fell by the wayside this year, and my project hit a massive roadblock due to lack of time for research in October. Someday I'll win NaNo! Someday! ;)
That moment when you did the same field trip to France and went to that hole. It looked like Jurassic park! And all I wanted to do was go in the subterranean water, so crystal-clear! (so ice-cold looking!)
Ok, so it seems based on all the other comments that everyone seems to know you but this is the first time Ive stumbled upon you and I CANT BELIEVE you've written 10 novels in 10 years!!!!! HOW????????????? Have you ever had any published? If not, why not? And how do you find the motivation to do this every year if you dont publish? I've started NaNo this year, well, unofficially to be honest. I havent joined the project online, just joined the spirit of the event with the aim of nailing my first draft by the end of the month. If you have any advice for me, I'd be sooooo grateful. While you've spent 10 years writing 10 novels, I've spent 10 years dreaming about writing the novels in my head. Sheesh, I should go hide under a rock.
SO INSPIRING .Just an awesome video.I am a proud bookworm,or more accurately audiobookworm, among other things.Although I am an English major we get very little real practice at speaking. So I am loooking for someone to chat to.I would be glad to help out with Russian as it is my native language.
how old were you when you started nanowrimo? omg I've just found your 2015 and 2016 videos and they make me think whether I should join nanowrimo too this year or not. I don't have story in mind yet.
The election really affected me. I did so well until it happened and then I just...yeah. I had nothing more to say anymore. Next year will be better. And I'm finishing my book from this year right now at a slower pace. Good job Kristina!! You really killed it this year!!! :D
Nimaway12 I think the election hit everyone hard. I was writing about 1,500 words a day up until the election and then I took the next two months off. Luckily now I'm doing about 5,000 words a week and i've weaned myself off politics. Good Luck ☺
I'm so proud of your determination!! I'm trying to write my first novel but I kinda have a hard time finding the inspiration these days. Any tips? But anyways, I'm so happy for yout 11th Nano!! Be safe and I wish you more creativity for 2017!! :D
I wrote until Nov 8th and then just couldn't anymore... everything that came out was too negative and painful... so I have 16,000 words of good... Now to press on...
Write a novel about that situation: So, dear Dara, you are to kill me ? As no love is permitted for me, it seems like good time to have a bit of fun with Lamborghini Diablo. Substitute, not real thing, sure, but something that could improve things.
Last year I lost because I couldn't force myself to write after election day. While still heartbroken, I am determined to win this year! I always watch your vlogs for inspo!
Nothing is "Really hard" about not having your preferred candidate winning the election. I love NaNoWriMo but the community is full of this kind of soft-hearted whimsy.
Don't get me wrong I do not support trump or anything like that. However, I would be hard pressed to say that anyone should "mourn" over the election of a president. Letting that big you down is useless and protesting his election is a waste of time. If we like it or not he is our leader now and we have to root for him to make the right decisions.
I love so much these "Writing a Novel in a Month" videos! I always re-watch to get inspired to write!
And here I am again hahaha
So cool seeing you crush NaNoWriMo every year. Congrats! Super impressive.
You've written so many books. Do you plan on publishing any of them? I'd love to read one!
I love watching these every year :))
The video I've been waiting for!!! yaaay
Ummm, when do we get to read said 11 books!? I'm a book editor. I'd totally edit them for you if it meant getting to read them!
Jennie Stevens
Hi! How much do you charge to edit an 80,000 word book?
Can I have you edit my first novel?

@@dancrocker9318 unless you're planning to self-publish, you shouldn't hire an editor
@@sofijasofija2867 professionally published books also have an editor. I was only explaining why the author doesn’t do that themselves.
THOSE KITTENS ARE ADORABLE I MAY BE CRYING
you did amazing this year! and i am OBSESSED with those kittens.

Yay I've been looking forwards to this video since NaNo ended! :D

One of my favorite parts of Nano is seeing other people's stories with yours being my favorite! Thank you for posting :D
Congrats on winning Nano again! Good luck on your book's final part!
Damn you were on fire! That's an incredible amount of writing
I don't watch nearly as much youtube as I used to (senior year is kicking my ass) but I'll always take the time to watch your nano videos. They're inspiring and fascinating and I love getting to join you on the journey.
I really love these daily updates you do every year
Just wanna say thanks, your videos are the reason that my last two NaNo Novels exist!
I didn't manage nano this year I'm still editing and in love with my 2015 novel and the cats are adorable
super happy about how you hit 50K. the mid-nano wave of writer's block seems to hit everyone.
Congrats on winning!! This was my first year doing NaNo and I won too!!
people should make more of these...very inspiring.

Cat distractions are my whole life.
Great job!

Also Yes!!! Nano 2016 Video!!! Love these!!
YAY I've been waiting for this a long time!!
I look forward to this every year and watching you tackle Nano!

I love your sweater in day 23! Did you get it while in France?
I wrote until Nov 8th and then just couldn't anymore... everything that came out was too negative and painful... so I have 16,000 words of good... Now to press on...
oh my fricking gosh those kitties
I love pretty little liars
Do you publish your books?
Camp nano video in 2017?
Oh the 29 is a day before my bday in October
I don’t know how people write so much 😩
Why was election day so dark? I still don't get it.
I was bugged by this too. 2016 was when Trump got elected. I assume she is democratic. Eh. To each his own.

I felt the same way after the election. Though I was able to mine a few hundred words worth of inspiration, from the travesty.
special place in hell for people who put their seats back on planes
75,000 is a pretty significant amount of words. You should consider publishing it after some revisions and editing.
😁😸❤️

People in America weren't "mourning", seems a bit melodramatic to me.
Nothing is "Really hard" about not having your preferred candidate winning the election. I love NaNoWriMo but the community is full of this kind of soft-hearted whimsy.
What was "Really hard"?
Oh No! A person you politically disagreed with won the election? God Forbid! What woeful tragedy! Grow the fuck up.
Don't get me wrong I do not support trump or anything like that. However, I would be hard pressed to say that anyone should "mourn" over the election of a president. You are crazy
I wrote 500 words this nano...whoops
to be fair I did move, so like, at least I ave a reason. haha
"if I don't finish my novel this year, it will be 100% because of these kitties"
Okay but... MOOD
