I have nothing but respect for you Xaryu. You have changed as a person and you stopped and gave a moment to listen to your thoughts and feelings and understand what's a priority for you in the present. Very mature of you and an example for the community to not be rooted to frustration because things aren't the way they want it to be.
It all depends on the certain people i had a guy who started in classic 2019 for the first time in WoW and 6 months ago he bought DF and he said he liked it more. That really shocked me but i guess there are people that might like both and end up liking Retail more.
@@blownspeakersssyes. Both very different games but both designed for low iq drones to suck your time, money, and energy. When the game has integrity again and you could become a Xaryu or a reckful, wow will be revived. Until then, low iq drone time wasters and streamers only.
@@blownspeakersss Yeah let's help him reword that. Retail is good for people that want to play a game with retail features and not so much for people who want retail to play like classic.
Still don't understand why they can't make the spells be different in pve and in pvp, a game that did this was Lost Ark and it worked pretty well, this completly removes the need to balance everything for both pve and pvp. It feels like we have 30 spells to use in pvp and more than half aren't even used in pve rotation.
PvP is very much treated as a little side game these days and it sort of is, the core of this game now is the story/lore through the Raid, the dungeons, the Delves, exploring the open world working on your profs and Renown reps etc, the world opens so much more for you when you move to PvE, enjoy!
I don't really follow you actively nor really "care", in lack of a better word, for your content that much but for what it's worth, you're the man. Leaving behind something one's highly passionate about is always a tough decision and a sacrifice in a sense. You're a solid dude and I can understand why people are drawn to your content and the personality alongside how you carry yourself is no doubt a big factor. Here's to a great path forward, especially with your family. Have a good one.
I don't think you quitting WoW PvP is sad, it makes sense with you becoming a dad and stepping more into that role. Especially with the numbers you're pulling doing more WoW variety (RP, HC, SOD, Retail) it makes a more secure livelihood for your family. I do think it's sad however people after 2 years are still asking about PvP and can't take the hint that it's not in your best interest to go back to that.
the entitlement that so many content creators' audience members have is mindboggling to me... it's like they don't understand that the person they're watching is... a *person* on the other side of the camera, with their own goals and motivations and interests, and they should be able to create whatever content THEY want to make, not be slaves to what their audience wants them to create
Dude! Congrats Bro! What an amazing career you’ve had in WoW!! Now you get to enjoy your new career of being that dad and husband that YOU want to be!! You’re crushing it! So proud of you!! 🥳 Excited to see what other content you’ll be bringing our way!!
Just an observation. But tww is a unique expansion. After watching metzen’s interview, and this Xaryu one, I can’t help but notice - You finally get to see some characters aging in the game…stories being tied up, and even us, the once scrubby nobody’s, also showing age and moving on. WOW is a unique game, where it really is its own world, and like medivh, maybe it’s time to step aside and let the newer warriors tell their stories. 🫶 Sorry for being so nerdy, but this 20 year expansion really is a spectacle to both participate in and observe. Hope you all are having fun 💕
I'm LOVING the Xaryu Father Arc. Fatherhood changes everything for those that choose to prioritise the child. Correct call in my book. Switching playstyles is a hilarious experience and that's what I did when the kids were tiny. Enjoy it to the max bro ♥️
FFXIV pvp isn't as complex, but the principle of splitting abilities between PVP and PVE is there. They have all the same abilities, but they've taken 30-32ish abilities for each class and in PVP each class has like, 5-8 buttons and some of those have combos or interactions (ie. 1 is 1>2>3, press 4 then 6, changes 4 to another ability) etc. So the rotations in pvp aren't as deep, but you still need to use the right skills for the situation. Would be cool to see Blizz try something like that even just in an arena event mode to see if people liked it.
Could tell this was big for u to come out and say but dw Xar , we'll always be here to support u in ur endeavours ! So awesome to hear about how much ur loving Dad / Husband life and just taking things more casual . Looking forward to whatever comes next ! Much love man .
I have four kids and I'm 31. I can find the time to play, it's just after I've put my kids to bed at 8:00. I can play from 8 - 12 and wake up at 7 to cook my family breakfast. Four hours is plenty of time to grind.
To summarize, you're stupid. War within PvP is essentially Dragonflight, with a few new spells and poor class design. No significant change, Shadowlands/Dragonflight 2.0 as such its pointless on focus on PvP
Dude.. makes me cry. happy/sad. I love that you brought up family. Your boy will love looking back at this. I'm not an active viewer these days for similar reasons. You've always been a pleasure to watch, man. Take care!
Playing arena casually and not caring whether you win or lose (but still being extremely skilled) is actually the key to higher CR. You’ll end up doing better this season than any other if you just play when you want.
Been loving the variety content, hardcore, and especially the Moonguard RP stuff recently (herbvendor forever). I think a lot of us just watch because you're a good guy and we enjoy hanging. Do whatever brings ya joy! :D
Just stumbled across your channel, congrats on the baby i know im late I just had my son on my birthday (July 27th) and its been hard adjusting because my hobby was video games. I was on the same boat only played pvp in DF season 1 and lost interest. Coming back now to TWW I think im going to take it a different route and really learn the game and just enjoy what I used to enjoy as a kid. Its hard to play games as much as i used to obviously but I feel like WoW is relaxing enough for me and I dont have to be locked into anything and kind of take my time. More life to you and your happy family brother.
Love you, Xar 🥺 This is such a big moment for you .. I feel it and I got emotional watching you saying that dragonflight has been the last season you played PvP. Watched you since Covid times 2020 when Pika ordered you burgers or something 😅 So many cool and wholesome moments that helped me to get through the lockdown❤️ And lots of things has changed since then. I know it’s always hard to adapt to changes around us.. All of that time I’ve been playing Cata on pirate servers and this time I decided to go in to explore something new for me with War Within.. This is a whole new game for me, I really enjoyed old school wow gaming style but it gave me thoughts that life is going on, it’s a chance to try something new and explore new experience! I agree that combat has evolved into a very mobile and complex thing where you need to click on 500 keys at 5 seconds, watch your procs and cooldowns all the time 🌚, my brain explodes truly haha But there’s always a chance you’d get used to it and would love your new emotions about it. Hope you’ll enjoy the game and remember that we will always support you whatever path you decide to go. Thank you for this video🫂
This hit me right in the feels. I had the same feeling and experience nearly 6 years ago when my wife was pregnant with our first son. Realizing I needed to become a casual player was refreshing but upsetting at the same time. Choosing family over games is always the right choice though.
Yay my guy is gonna enjoy the game the way it's supposed to be!! I'm there with you when it comes to retail pvp vs pve. The two will have to be a separate client so that each version can be completely independent of the changes big or small. Maturing and major life changes (marriage, children) will change your priorities for sure. Thank you for sharing your personal thoughts, Xaryu
Cheers Josh, this is the one and only Neurus. I quit WoW a long time ago for similar reasons, I'm almost 49 now so I can't even PvP even if I wanted. I always kept watching your videos (and will continue to do so), but wishing you the best!
Always love your authentic way. One can really see the emotions running through your head, all the ups and downs crossing your mind while speaking. As someone who used to be competitive and stepped down, let me tell you that our inner hunger for ambition will break through at some point. You will get back at least into semi-competitive mode after a few months or even a year. Dont worry. If you have that gene in you, you cannot escape it.
Looking forward for your classic and also variety content as usual. Your statement and decision won't have an negative effect for the vast majority of your community :)
Dad of two here buddy, I sneak some time at night and mainly just dip my toes in the new shuffles and blitz. The game is so different to the 'good old days' but I'm ok with that. Getting a fix a few nights a week is enough but we all grow up eventually, I'm looking forward to introducing my kids to WoW at some point and maybe my boy will push glad/rank 1 one day or maybe he won't it's all good, gaming is a gift just enjoy what makes you happy! ❤
For me I like how easy it is to gear for PvP. It’s so easy that you can main pve and still jump in PvP as a fun side activity and still get the gear to have fun. The game should be thought of as a whole. Not 2 halves (PvP,pve) co existing fighting for the player base. I want the pve players to play PvP. And without the vault taking up a PvP slot it also makes it easier for a pvper to pve So much content if you wanted to play it all
We're proud of you Xaryu! And welcome to Moon Guard! There's lots of good active and social guilds here. The Trade chat has no comparison for entertainment. Congrats on having your son and growing as a person.
That's definitely a happy note bro. Since I had my daughter 3 years ago, my entire outlook on life has changed. Games are and always will be secondary to my family. I know you play/stream for your livelihood, but it's only entertainment. We support you no matter what my Magister brother.
just wanted to say congrats on being a dad, and, I am super new to the channel and only came into it with your variety content. Specifcally, I have loved watching your Xarbarian classic hardcore saga! So, you've got a viewer even if you don't PVP much anymore :) good luck in TWW! I will be tuning in

It's not what you stream; it's how you stream it 😉 I initially came across you on UA-cam regarding PvP, but no matter what content you do it's always enjoyable because it's always so entertaining and you're just a fun personality to watch! Your Classic WoW fight where I believe you and mitch "...Started the BIGGEST FIGHT in Classic WoW History" had me literally dying 😂
Not gonna lie - RP and SoD Xar has been my favourite Xar so far. Your phenomenal skill will shine through here and there, as it always does. But having aged alongside you, it probably just feels correct to even have my favourite WoW entertainers "settle down" inside the game - and outside of it.
Good for you mate. I understand exactly what you mean. My oldest was born five years ago and that's when I quit playing retail (some classic off and on then since then). Life changes and you let things go but at the same time your life gets filled with other amazing stuff. I am actually considering picking up TWW because my oldest asked "Pappa can't we play some WoW together" (him sitting in my lap) and because of the reasons you mentioned in your video. Thanks for sharing bud! I appreciate it! ♥
I been following Xar for years. I’m incredibly proud of him and his journey. If you read this Xar, don’t worry about other peoples opinions of you, it is IMPOSSIBLE to make everyone happy. For that one person you make happy, a second person will not be satisfied. Focus on you, you’re living this life in first person, the only people who truly matter is your kid, your wife, and your immediate family and close friends. Play what you want to play. Do what you want to do. If you’re just jumping up and down and running around a pillar at 1500 rating if it brings you joy then do it man! A game is meant to have fun. I spent 20 years playing this game and I never once got gladiator. I beat myself so many times in the past thinking I was never good enough. Then took a break from the game, did Uber for two years. And I realized, no one from the outside world cares what I do, as long I’m not hurting anybody. No one cares if I was a challenger for pretty much my entire time playing world of Warcraft. It’s just a game, and games are meant to have fun. What renewed this perspective was FF7 Rebirth, just running around open Midgar feeling like I was 8 years old again. Then after that I downloaded wow and as a gnome mage vs a warlock casting chaos bolts and I’m just smacking them with my staff and casting frost nova so they can feel the burn of 49 points of damage. In short, just have fun man. Let no one on this planet tell you how you should enjoy playing a video game. Will you listen to anyone from the internet telling you how to raise your child? Hell no! So don’t let anyone from the internet tell you how to enjoy a game. You been one of my biggest inspiration, along with Venruki and Mitchjones. In my head you guys are the Triforce (power, courage, wisdom) Anyways if read this far, thank you for producing content. Take care man and god bless :) ❤
As a long hardcore player when you said "loving hardcore wow" ❤❤❤ I am not crying, someone is cutting onions. I think that as long as you do stuff you feel passionate about, people will sense it and that passion will spread in the community.
Usually don’t comment on stuff but I’m proud of you for making this decision. When you’re old and looking back at your life, I don’t know of one person that said they spent too much time with their family. It’s usually the opposite. Don’t ever apologize for making the best decision for you and your family. Glad you made this decision and proud to say I’ve been here most of the way. Used to tune in after midnight when I was falling asleep when you had less than 100 viewers. Now look where you’re at. Proud of you man
Dawg welcome to the club. Enjoy life and enjoy your family. Funny thing is, you’ll be back. Kudos to y’all and enjoy the game how you want to enjoy it.
Dude! So happy that you’re able to continue playing the game you love while making your family a priority. Unfortunately the role of a father is to make sacrifices at times but the ones who make those sacrifices turn out to be great fathers. Much love brother!
Honestly your PvE, hardcore and classic content is what made me watch you constantly. Some classic PvP is fun to watch too, but seeing a push to rank one and sweaty arenas would be really boring. So keep doing what you're doing and spend time with your family Xar ❤
I started playing WoW for PvP but drifted to m+ once they added SS. I knew the moment Solo Shuffle was coming that we were just basically splitting the PvP community in two, which was a bad idea. They should’ve added a solo QUEUE option only, not make a whole new bracket of its own.
It doesn't matter what type of video you uplaod if its World of Warcraft or a other game or just a rections video I will watch thanks you for the content keep up the great work

Very mature of you and an example for the community to not be rooted to frustration because things aren't the way they want it to be.
xaryu entered the dad era ^^ happy to see you doing well
TLDR: retail is good for people that like retail and not so much for people that like classic.
False dichotomy. Many people who enjoy Classic also like retail. They're different games and it's possible to enjoy both.
It all depends on the certain people i had a guy who started in classic 2019 for the first time in WoW and 6 months ago he bought DF and he said he liked it more.
That really shocked me but i guess there are people that might like both and end up liking Retail more.
Actually, this is not what the video is about at all. Shit take.
I do think it's sad however people after 2 years are still asking about PvP and can't take the hint that it's not in your best interest to go back to that.
the entitlement that so many content creators' audience members have is mindboggling to me... it's like they don't understand that the person they're watching is... a *person* on the other side of the camera, with their own goals and motivations and interests, and they should be able to create whatever content THEY want to make, not be slaves to what their audience wants them to create
he's a streamer
Dude! Congrats Bro! What an amazing career you’ve had in WoW!! Now you get to enjoy your new career of being that dad and husband that YOU want to be!! You’re crushing it! So proud of you!! 🥳 Excited to see what other content you’ll be bringing our way!!
having fun is the more important part of any game. so go for it
Just an observation.
Sorry for being so nerdy, but this 20 year expansion really is a spectacle to both participate in and observe.
Hope you all are having fun 💕
xaru a recap. there's lots of players who are thinking like you now, we got old and well we think differently know :)
I'm getting a footjob while reading this
I'm LOVING the Xaryu Father Arc.
We lost one of the best Mages in pvp 😢.
We've lost WAY more Pro Players than Xaryu, DF divided PVP so hard.
Lol you really think hes done? He has made a vid like this 10 times lmao he’ll get the arena itch and get r1
He will return with his son in 2v2
We watch xaryu for the xar. no matter what you play we will watch
I have four kids and I'm 31. I can find the time to play, it's just after I've put my kids to bed at 8:00. I can play from 8 - 12 and wake up at 7 to cook my family breakfast. Four hours is plenty of time to grind.
When do you spend time with wife/partner?
@@adamkm That's the thing, they don't.
@@adamkmMy thoughts exactly. Partner time? Sleep quality/length going to bed at midnight right after 4 hours of pumping?
Good to see life come together like that. Enjoy! I will still stick around to see your streams once and a while!
this whole video is within the context of pre season 1 where there's really no endgame yet
Take care!
It’s not happy or sad Xar, it’s bitter sweet to see you leave PVP
Good for you, family is the most valuable thing to have. Enjoy that little one.
Playing arena casually and not caring whether you win or lose (but still being extremely skilled) is actually the key to higher CR. You’ll end up doing better this season than any other if you just play when you want.
Spoken like someone who’s never been high CR 😂
@@Solaxer nah but good luck with yourself king
@@Solaxer as someone who got R1 from season 10 to season 3 wod before quitting, not overthinking it is the key. Kindly, stfu
Im glad to see you finally blow up. Ive been here since the old pvp guides. Thank you for being you
5:56 nobody...... NOBODY says "buttons" like that.
I had to take my ear buds off
Bro turned Victorian era British for just one word only to do it again 2 seconds later 😂
Been loving the variety content, hardcore, and especially the Moonguard RP stuff recently (herbvendor forever).
I think a lot of us just watch because you're a good guy and we enjoy hanging. Do whatever brings ya joy! :D
Xaryu wants to play retail and do pvp again, but he knows if he leaves classic he will get half the viewers 😂 and sit and 1k viewers again
Love you, Xar 🥺
This is such a big moment for you ..
I agree that combat has evolved into a very mobile and complex thing where you need to click on 500 keys at 5 seconds, watch your procs and cooldowns all the time 🌚, my brain explodes truly haha
But there’s always a chance you’d get used to it and would love your new emotions about it.
Hope you’ll enjoy the game and remember that we will always support you whatever path you decide to go. Thank you for this video🫂
You and Asmon are like the yin and yang of WoW, Xar. Always looking forward to your positive energy when I see your vids.
asmon was wearing some satanic t-shirt looking like an imp in the video ur referring to - checks out
This hit me right in the feels. I had the same feeling and experience nearly 6 years ago when my wife was pregnant with our first son. Realizing I needed to become a casual player was refreshing but upsetting at the same time. Choosing family over games is always the right choice though.
War Within is an amazing expansion! The lore and class design are great!
Best in years, hands down.
@@alistairclifton1286shadowlands was better
You guys say this every expansion.
@@robertb67it's almost like since bfa/sl the game has gotten objectively better. Crazy concept tho right man?
Yay my guy is gonna enjoy the game the way it's supposed to be!! I'm there with you when it comes to retail pvp vs pve. The two will have to be a separate client so that each version can be completely independent of the changes big or small. Maturing and major life changes (marriage, children) will change your priorities for sure. Thank you for sharing your personal thoughts, Xaryu
Xaryu pushing keys could be insane content
wow...yeah good point. arena hype but different flavor
Cheers Josh, this is the one and only Neurus. I quit WoW a long time ago for similar reasons, I'm almost 49 now so I can't even PvP even if I wanted. I always kept watching your videos (and will continue to do so), but wishing you the best!
Desperately hanging on to this scam of a game.
If you don’t like it don’t play it?
Always love your authentic way. One can really see the emotions running through your head, all the ups and downs crossing your mind while speaking.
As someone who used to be competitive and stepped down, let me tell you that our inner hunger for ambition will break through at some point.
You will get back at least into semi-competitive mode after a few months or even a year. Dont worry. If you have that gene in you, you cannot escape it.
Looking forward for your classic and also variety content as usual. Your statement and decision won't have an negative effect for the vast majority of your community :)
Great video man. Had our daughter last July! Welcome to the WoW dad gamers club. Wish nothing but the best for you and your family.
And without the vault taking up a PvP slot it also makes it easier for a pvper to pve
So much content if you wanted to play it all
We're proud of you Xaryu!
We support you no matter what my Magister brother.
bro just came out of the shower so relaxed hes almost speaking in slowmotion
Turbo casual dad move on Xar’s part, love to see it. Here’s to many more years and turbo casual gaming. Do what’s best for you king 👑! Cheers 🥂
just wanted to say congrats on being a dad, and, I am super new to the channel and only came into it with your variety content. Specifcally, I have loved watching your Xarbarian classic hardcore saga! So, you've got a viewer even if you don't PVP much anymore :) good luck in TWW! I will be tuning in
Rank 1 as Dad, Rank 1 as husband, and lighthearted fun sounds like amazing plans for this wow expansion and your RL expansions. You have support always! I enjoy your content of all the types.
The embodiment of getting old, I love it for you man. Enjoy family, these baby years will never come back, playing wow casual is perfectly fine, ur still probably go harder than most of us xD
We all grow and it's good to hear those changes. congrats for new member in your family!
fr my childs birth is what got me to be super casual in wow. enjoy every moment you can as a dad, they grow up toooo quick
You are a legend ! I grow up with ur stream and vod, u make me what I am in wow since I started the pvp seriously and yeah its sad to ear but im more happy to see you happy in your life with ur familly, big up from France my friend, ur one of my hero fr ♥️🇫🇷
So happy for you xar! Huge change for sure and for alot of your old time viewers. A nice montage of first rank 1 to now would be dope.
I loved how easy the questing and leveling was to be honest with you guys. It was great
Not gonna lie - RP and SoD Xar has been my favourite Xar so far.
In my head you guys are the Triforce (power, courage, wisdom)
Anyways if read this far, thank you for producing content. Take care man and god bless :) ❤
Good for your man. It sounds like your happy and that is what really matters. Love your content bro.
As a long hardcore player when you said "loving hardcore wow" ❤❤❤ I am not crying, someone is cutting onions. I think that as long as you do stuff you feel passionate about, people will sense it and that passion will spread in the community.
that baby gonna be so happy when he grow up realising his father is Xaryu
you are the best variety stream ever in WoW. we have many lives of competitive players but only one Xar (or Yarxu)
This video was perfection, well done sir. You may not be pushing Rank 1 in PVP, but now you can push Rank 1 Husband and Father. All the best dude.
It doesn't matter what type of video you uplaod if its World of Warcraft or a other game or just a rections video I will watch thanks you for the content keep up the great work
i'm glad more people are waking up to the idea that it's okay to just play video games for fun and take it slow.
been loving the yarxu moonguard rp content. do what you enjoy.
Dude nothing more enjoyable than spending time with family specially when you have a baby. Can relate and wish you all the best in your future. Junior Xar ftw.
You will always have been a huge part of my and alot of others chillhood! Love thinking back at all those good memories :D Whatever you choose to do, you have done a great part already! Enjoy your family, and play wow whenever you feel like it :D
