  • The scientists experimented to determine the air-filtering capacities of bitter orange, lemon, Laurel, and alcohol. Up to 80 kg of CO2 may be absorbed yearly by a mature plant; this was also the projected power of one tree. Although it can seem like a lot, communities with industrial facilities produce more of this hazardous gas. The average annual production of 36 billion tons of CO2 by human activity directly influences global climate change. Mechanical trees capture carbon dioxide with stacked discs filled with air-filtering substances.

Stop cutting the trees and other plants and nature will do her job.

Yes thats a great start. Tho the balance is disrupted so much already, that planting and not cutting down trees isnt the sole solution to bring it all back in balance.
Also trees 'release' a considerable amount of Co2 back into nature f.e. when they drop their leaves in Autum.

First you say it's necessary for human health , then say it's a hazardous gas, MAKE UP MY FREAKING MIND PLEASE

Really? Where do you get the gas and the resin? How much co2 does it require to produce the gas and the resin? What happens with the spent resin? The best co2 sequestration system is savanna forest grazed by moving herbivores. Farming with biology instead of chemistry is the solution. Not yet another manufacturing process

Oh, good. Suck all of the CO2 out of the atmosphere. What could go wrong??

@mstar7520 no they do not capture any CO2. Grade 6 sience. The tree and all of its leaves are made of carbon from the CO2, and when they die, they rapidly decompose into CO2. They only store it for a short time.

@mstar7520 prior to 300,000,000 years ago, plants captured CO2 but thank God then fungus evolved to ear the natural plastics and saved the world from starvation. Water can hold CO2 for millions of years as long as you don't warm it or expose it to pressure change like putting it through a hydro turbine
