To buy something like the places that you have shown us , here we are talking about 250,000 euros upwards. Our children are finding it very hard and have to depend on parents to help them, even though they have a good education / training and have good jobs. My daughter's friend recently bought an apartment she paid 180,000 euros, but had to spend another 30,000euros, the kitchen still needs more work. They have a 30 year mortgage and the apartment block is over 40 years old.

Looks like we have a rental lined up though a Thai friend who lives part time north of Albany and part time in PKK. $525 per month, 2 br, 2 bath, common pool area.

So you have to put the couch in front of the stairs ? Kitchen is really tiny . Thai houses always have such a weird layout. It seems to be finished nice, but i don’t understand many choices they made in the layout. That model house is pretty nice tho

Noticed the residential exterior doors swing outward. Does this prevent security of concealed hinges on the inside of the building that you would have if the doors swing inward?

You can’t unless you have a Thai spouse or you lease the land for 30+ years. You can own an apartment or condo since you don’t own the land.

Well since foreigners cannot own land anyway, a condo is always the better option
No A/C.
I believe AC is an upgrade in the first house we showed, you would have to contact JJ or New, as I am not certain.
A/C is installed in a day, and they are pretty cheap in Thailand.
