    The triggers alone make this the best pro controller out there and it isn't even close. I love mine and it definitely helps in any game where reaction time is crucial

    • @guybrushthreepwood8174
      @guybrushthreepwood8174 Рік тому +1

      from what i can tell here, the trigger stops dramatically shorten the trigger pull relative to the razer wolverine ultimate and v2 chroma which i have and which both have trigger stops that still leave prob 30-40% of the trigger pull intact which feels kind of too much.

      @@guybrushthreepwood8174 it's honestly a shorter pull than my Logitech mouse click.

      Yes, it's pretty much immediate. You barely see your finger move.

      You know the Xbox elite 2 controller has these exact same triggers right ?

    • @daltonburroughs3811
      @daltonburroughs3811 10 місяців тому

      @zerotheg0d330 it doesn't though. It has trigger stoppers but they feel vastly different. The Scuf feels like a mouse click, the Elite just stops and doesn't really feel that good

    I had 3 elite controllers, I thought about a battle beaver or scuf, but went back to stock Xbox controller and my aim in shooter games has been so good with the stock controller

      Yep fair enough. They are definitely hit or miss. I've been using this SCUF again a lot recently and it's still very solid. But I still wish I could adjust the stick tension!

    Have always been intrigued to own one of the Pro Controller options. From your hands on impressions for what you have used, if you had to choose one brand who would you recommend?
    Enjoyed this video and the honesty of your point of view!

    • @SeasonedGaming
      @SeasonedGaming  Рік тому +1

      Thanks TJ. Honestly it's really tough - each have strengths and weaknesses. Honestly, the easiest is still the Elite 2. It's fantastic and while it has durability issues, parts and replacements are easy to get.

    • @FreakyTJ
      @FreakyTJ Рік тому +1

      @@SeasonedGaming I can see why it would be tough, the market allows for multiple suppliers. Would be nice if a single brand would take all the best features and make The One. Makes me curious if say like the mouse triggers on this SCUF are patented? Either way, appreciate the video and your insight 🙂

    What tension setting on the Elite series 2 would you say is closest to the tension of the Scuf sticks out of interest? Considering a switch but like you I’m incredibly picky when it comes to the sticks. Getting some drift on my right stick on the elite and it’s driving me crazy but anxious to make the switch to one of these mostly because I have no idea how the sticks will feel. Are they smooth still? Also is there any initial play before the stick enages? There’s a slight wobble in my elite stick before it it starts engaging that’s also quite irritating, especially when trying to be very precise in a shooter.

    • @SeasonedGaming
      @SeasonedGaming  8 місяців тому

      Sadly - I'd say the sticks on the SCUF are similar to the loosest setting on the Elite 2. I use the loosest for movement and the tightest for aiming on my Elite 2 for games like Halo. On the SCUF you have to enjoy a loose stick. That said, they are very precise and I've had no issues with sticking or drift as of yet (gotta be 200+ hours at this point if I had to guess).

    They need to fix the software. The input delay is way too long for a 250$ pro controller. Love mine but it lacks in poll rating and had to get mine replaced due to bad stick drift

  • @guybrushthreepwood8174
    @guybrushthreepwood8174 Рік тому +3

    I hate to be this guy but - Thumbstick modules - if they are still the same garbo ones we get in the standard $50 units, that means i cannot justify spending $200+ on a controller. they really really need to give us a superior thumbstick module and i see comment below talking about bumper failure. come on, i mean - yeah $45 xbox controllers we expect this but for $250 unit no way. that said i can see some great features here, i just don't think its worth anywhere near that price given the pricing and sale pricing of the elite , razers, etc. I have not seen scuff stuff go on sale much either which is a bummer.

    • @SeasonedGaming
      @SeasonedGaming  Рік тому

      Yeah that's the sad thing. Specialty controllers usually don't fix all the potential issues but cost a lot due to low production numbers.

    What is the warranty like? Replacements? Repairs? Etc. Im interested in enhancing my gameplay with a new controller other than the regular series s and x controllers, but i dont want to drop upwards of $300 if it's not going to last...
    Do you know how it compares to the turtle beach stealth ultra? Do the mouse truggers really make that much of a difference?
    For reference, I play mainly fps games like R6 and have been getting a lot more competitive.

    • @SeasonedGaming
      @SeasonedGaming  5 місяців тому

      Hey there. So a few pieces of info. The warranty on this is 1 year - that is the standard term. It also has a 30 day "full" return warranty where I believe you can return it for just a 15% restocking fee (may want to double check me).
      I haven't used the Stealth Ultra so I can't say but personally I haven't enjoyed TB's in the past. The mouse triggers are truly great IMO. Not only are they instant, but the feel is so much more tactical than a normal trigger. It's hard to explain without using it.
      In terms of quality/build/last, it's obviously very hard to tell. Some people are far harder on controllers than others. I will say that so far, the SCUF continues to perform as if it were new for me. The faceplate and thumbsticks can be replaced in seconds and everything else is still very solid. This compares very favorably to the Elite 2 where I've had drift and bumper failures multiple times now. I've used the SCUF for a wide variety of games including comp games like Apex, Finals, Halo, etc... regularly. Given that I reviewed this nearly a year ago now (which means several hundred hours of use) and it still performs like new, that's a good sign in my book.
      Hope that helps as much as possible!

    I have very small hands for a man. The Elite is a bit big for my grip; how do you think this will work. I realize you can't see, but the question for me is "Will I be able to reach the paddles on the bottom?"

    • @SeasonedGaming
      @SeasonedGaming  9 місяців тому +1

      Hello. So the SCUF is built on the Series Controller frame which slightly smaller than the Elite. You might be a little better off and as I said, the positioning of the paddles is likely the best yet. My advice: if you are comfortable with the Series X/S controller, you'll like this. If not, probably not.

      Hey there. Honestly, I continue to love this controller. I use it near daily for my competitive shooting needs. My only gripe continues to be I wish I could change the tension of the sticks themselves - but otherwise it's been fantastic.

    is the instinct pro better than the elite series 2? i’m torn between wchich one to buy

    • @SeasonedGaming
      @SeasonedGaming  5 місяців тому

      Honestly just depends. The SCUF so far has shown better durability and it is also based on the Series X/S controller shape versus the Elite 2 which is the slightly larger/older shape without the capture button. However, the Elite 2 is cheaper and you can also adjust the tension of the sticks on the Elite 2 which you cannot on the SCUF. I honestly use both for different games.

      oh that sucks, and they are charging such a high price for this thing that it doesnt make sense to me since the thumbstick modules are likely the same junk that are in regular $50 xbox controllers, and i didnt even think about the bumpers failing but yeah that's another issue i've had on regular old xbox controllers too. for $250 thes things should be BETTER than what u get on a $50 device.
