I have listened the pot thousands of times and I have even fell asleep with this groove relentlessly revolving around my mind so many times. This is probably the closest thing to Danny Carey I have ever heard. I think you have a future
I’ve watched a few of your videos now and you’re genuinely the real the real deal, keep making content my dude because any band would be lucky to have you! Absolute precision and I’ve not seen you break a sweat yet, can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store
i just wanna say you are such an inspiration to me, you are the only reason i was able to learn this song and you’ll be the reason i learn many more, you are the GOAT❤
You killed it, young man - doing Mr. Polyrhythmic himself (Danny Care) proud! :) Keep chasing those dreams and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You got chops!!
Wow! I can see you're just as dedicated to learning the complex tracks as I was at your age. You've got TOOL's The Pot here...I had RUSH's Hemispheres! I was 17 and still in high school. You're so lucky to live & drum in this amazing age of hi-tech, of your generation. You took me back...made me proud! Rock On "lil brother"!⭐🤘😎
you're the son I never had! (and I have 4 already : ) AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING... keep up the good work, the practice, and AMAZING stamina to complete such an intense song - the LICKS, the DIDDLEs, the 'double-bass' that might be more like QUADRUPLE bass! Thanks for the look, the sound, and the incredible payoff for such practice and capabilities that you were apparently BORN with! (Nice drums, too, but you could play ANYTHING well, no matter!)
Bro this is an epic cover! Love your intensity, soul, so many people are technical but they're robots and lack that fire in them. Can clearly see you've put in the work, your technique, striking accuracy, independence, feel/groove. Nice one brother! The younger generations are really rippin these days! When I started playing drums when I was 12 no one was playing like this through my teens! Props 👏 You should do a video on your process for learning to play covers.
Seriously killed it, I've tried to play this song myself and I'm just not disciplined enough to nail it. My only critique would be... Open up the hats. But you actually manage to do that towards the end, so...
Hey maybe you are finding difficult bcs you have not learned the concept of modulation its when you play a specific number of times in a certain space othet than 4 or 2 or 8 if the beat is 4 / 4 in thjs song the guitar is playing 3/4 polyrythym meaning he is playing 4 notes in a space of a measure of 3 , and thats why the guitar sometimes plays faster than the drums
@@JMS070 Yes, I struggle with odd time but it's because I can't find an intuitive way to reckon with it. It seems like it just comes naturally to guys like Danny Carey and whoever. I wanna be able to FEEL the polyrhythyms without having to count them. Maybe I'm just delusional.
@@jhamler1It’s a Fantasy to think it’s just gonna pop into your head. You have to do the Work; You have to learn the rhythm, and the Timing; very Slow at First, then once you have it, you go faster and faster. It’s a Long Process. It’s good that he has his playing well lit and easy to see so us amateurs can learn.
nobody can cover a tool song like that, especially in the fills. i try, and i got everything down except for mixing the fills and normal playing together, it just gets too confusing
Tyler, this is not critical at all, but do you notice when you open and close the hi hat you lean back like it's gonna bite? 😀 You are terrific player.
Duuuuuh, danny carrey wont admit he has a son because of the fame he has....nice try danny but you wont fool us... Jokes aside this has to be the best cover i heard for the pot good job!
man you just have such a feel for tool, its like a natural flow
Thanks man!

Danny's drumming is so godly he reincarnated early...
Best is that he makes it all about the song.
No look me. Just straight drums
Love it.
This seems so refreshing after having watched some of the attention craving YT drummers.
Very good!
There is gonna be alotta competition to get him to sign on with a label. Cant wait to see him on stage one day . Lord bless his gift protect him. 😊
Listening in from Australia. Go you good thing!
Definitely the best version of the fill at the end of the first verse that I've ever heard. Phenomenal job!
On an auditory cheesecake kind of level, this one is my favourite Tool song after listening to them an insane amount of times over 16 years.
This is immense and deserves a lot more views!
Amazing job 🤙

Great cover🤟🤟🤟
Wow! Congrats on tackling Danny Carey! Monstrously tough, and you nailed it with spirit and soul.
Mouth movements and tripling up on the hi hat while maintaining perfect tempo is telling.
Danny Carey was involved in this kid’s lineage somehow.
😂😂
Awesome drumming on this Danny Carey classic!
Dude has a warrant out for his arrest for murder. He merked those drums.
sickkkkkkk
Fantastic and congratulations on 1k subs! 🤘🔥🔥🤘

@@jhamler1 every polyrythym has like a feel or tempo that you can practice to hear. Maybe you can find a video or ask your teacher if you have 1
If you have watchen a short where a drummer plays polyrythyms i bet you can feel a melody between the odd time and normal time

good cover with only 500 views? criminal.
Well, there's Tool's replacement drummer if DC ever falls ill - but are you 6'5"?
Lol
At 6’5” Danny is a Beast!

Anyone know how old this kid is? He's amazing.
How many times did you see this video? Yes
