Just a suggestion, but maybe make a dog house/robot house You’ll be able to attach the floor charger and also keep your robot out of the elements and never worry about charging area getting obstructed by snow, etc.
I was gonna suggest the exact same thing. Figured I'd check the comments first as surely someone else would have mentioned it. That's what I'd do if I had one. 👍😎
Sweet if it actually works. I have been following this product for like 3 or 4 years and I have never once seen it work. They should abandon the idea of snow clearing and just work on grass.
First, let us recognize and applaud those responsible for box design! WOW! Truly delivering the quality they themselves would love to recieve. That being said, this excites me to see where robotics and automation is heading in our personal ecosystems.
Thats amazing! I get the outta country remote plowing maybe too much but auto turn on even from inside the house is wild. Or perhaps turn on at work & have a clean drive way when one comes home. Very cool indeed
This case was pretty extreme with the huge storm and me being out of the country, but the next snowstorm, I'm going to be sipping hot chocolate while the Yarbo does the hard work!
@@freshlycharged Betcha wont! Betcha will be standing out sipping hot chocolate while watching this thing does its thang. Must be quite the spectacle live 🥳
From what I’ve researched when buying my snowblower this winter is that there is no electric single stage snowblower capable of dealing with wet heavy snow. That kind of snow is a challenge for even dual stage gas snowblowers. One tip to keep the snowblower from jamming was to spray silicone or vegetable oil cooking spray on the auger and chute to help prevent snow from sticking to them and jamming. That said I was impressed by its gps and remote control functioning. Its power to push that slushy snow with the plow attachment was pretty good too.
@@freshlycharged it doesn't really work. hydrophobic paint or powder coat is the only way. at cold temps the sprays all gum up. wet/heavy snow just washes the chute anyways, the spray is gone almost immediately.
I'm delighted to see it clean right down to the concrete. I thought it may want to give itself an easier out and leave 1/4" or so... but this cleans rigth down to the pad.
As I believe someone already suggested, and I thought of this as well (builder for over 30 years) I would certainly build a 'dog house' to keep the weather off the charging pad and Yarbo. Great video. Thx for posting it.
My first thought when you said the schools were closed because of the snow… I guess I’m old, I’m 67. In Westminster growing up they never close the schools for snow days. I remember seeing the blue lights out flashing and school bus will be there to pick you up no matter what.
Please tell me they have a lawn mower like that because if they do I'm buying one right now and if they don't they should start working on a lawn mower . Imagine cutting your grass when it's 108 outside from your air condition room. And yes I know they have lawn mowers that are battery-operated and remote control but not like this one this one you can override the manual and do it with a handheld controller. Awesome video
It's actually quieter than my neighbors gas powered snow blower. I didn't get any complaints, but I should probably wait till morning before running it.

Hi there, based on your feedback, we have reviewed and resolved the issue. The coupon code has been updated, so please give it another try. It should be working fine now.
If it's snowing enough to use the robot, it's probably snowing enough to bury the charging platform. Like someone else here said, build a house or at least a cover for the charger.
Blows my mind that 80% of the videos show it failing doing wet snow. Do you really expect it to be any different than a gas blower? Neither work well with wet snow. Trusting it while on vacation will take some getting used to.
What do you do for a living to afford all the stuff you have?😆 is it just youtube? I mean you have a nice home with a nice car, bunch of euc's this and that🤯

I'm going to try the spray trick! Which do you prefer, silicone or vegetable oil?

You and I have a different definition of a huge snowstorm.
Pour a pad next to your driveway to anchor the charging pad down. Redi-mix cement is so easy to use.

Did you lube your auger and chute? Really all the snow contact surfaces of the blower, pam works in a pinch
maybe add a little hut over the charging station.they could ad a little heating element to clear those clogges?
yeah for 8k it needs to be 20% larger and have a heated chute to clear clogs
This is awesome. I already ordered the 2024 which seems to fix some of these issues. Lets see
It would literally take a lifetime of snowstorms in order for this to be cheaper than just paying a kid.
I’m also in Denver!
Just ordered the Ride1Up Revv1. Definitely need some folks to ride with!
I would assume charging pad is heated enough to melt any snow that comes in contact with its surface. No?
Did you program the blower to not blow snow onto the charge station?
I did. Next snow storm I'm going to watch to make sure that happens.
Please tell me they have a lawn mower like that because if they do I'm buying one right now and if they don't they should start working on a lawn mower . Sorry I didn't watch the ending it does have a mower attachment please let us know how it did with the Moen
We’ll test the mower once the snow melts and the lawn is growing!
I’m surprised the neighbors weren’t bothered by the blower running at night. It sounds loud.
It's actually quieter than my neighbors gas powered snow blower. I didn't get any complaints, but I should probably wait till morning before running it.
Love that volcom jacket, picked it up 50% off this year from the outlet.
and thats super cool
Get a pallet jack attachment. I wonder how weight that robot can tow
Good luck with that when the plow comes by and pushes 3 feet of hard packed snow at end of your driveway
Will it work as a trailer tug?
200 pound tongue weight?
How do you keep from getting stolen?
yo i have been watching your chanal since i was 8 years old witch was a long time ago i have been a fan for that long. you inspired me to buy a onewheel. Im saying this because i noteced that the video is new and that you would probably see my comment.
Congrats on the onewheel!
Seems like a doghouse/enclave is nessasary for the charger to not have snow obstructing it.
Garage makes more sense.
I’m thinking about building a little shelter for it to see how that goes.
The charging pad needs to be outside so the Yarbo can charge in between snow blowing sessions.
In the beginning did it just throw the snow directly against your garage door lol?
Makes it more exciting when you're trying to get out of the garage 😊
Needs to be a bit heavier and have a reverse function when the snow clogs up.
License plate is visable around 8:05 just so you’re aware
Thanks!
Do you have another coupob code. The code above stated in checkout does not exist.

Looked amazing for here in NE Ohio until I saw the price :D :D
The plow part can handle the wet heavy snow
Yes it can! Going to use that for the next heavy snow storm.
Looks like you need a dog house for this snowbot.

Cool idea but this will not work well with wet, heavy snow.
The plow actually works really well for that type of snow.

Terrible placement of the charge pad
