Squad is one of the best games you can play. I always wanted Battlefield with a heavy reliance on teamwork to win, over just going Rambo. You NEED teamwork to win. Great pick,
I’ll have to try it. I really have only played the Wolf and Stijn games from will 3-D up to the latest release of Youngblood. This is because though, being visually impaired, Wolf and Stijn what is essentially the only game I can play for such a long time. It’s graphics I’ve gotten better though, I found it I’m able to play more and more games. So hopefully squad is one of those.
Im happy that Wildlands got a spot on this list. This game was the absolute best single player shooter experience i ever had and i really hope that they will release a part 2 to this game where they expand upon the mechanics (Increasing max engagement/rendering distances while also including a mechanic to zero in your gun for different ranges, improving on the stealth by makin you blend in better with the leaves in the jungle so you dont get sniped by dual mac 10s from 150m out by a drunken soldier singin SAAAAANTAAAA BLANCA...) Everything else in this game was a blast from beginning to end The setting finally took me away from the same old overused US vs terror militia in the middle east setpiece to the most dangerous/bloody conflict in the world as of right now. Every gun had its very own ''Character'' making experimenting arround with them an absolute blast while also encouragin me to really perfect my style with one of them. Every outpost had its very own characteristics/flow to them (some of them you were better off sneakin into durin daytime so you could disable the jammer manually others were best to tackle at night when the soldiers were asleep) The way you unlocked weapons in the game was also an absolute blast (it took me about 10 attempts to sneak into that base in montuyoc and grab the HTI) which really made the weapons feel special. And the characters were refreshing and unique (almost a far cry 3/4/5 meets gta 5 style)
I’d replace enlisted with hell let loose. It’s got that hint of arcady-ness and tactical squad play, plus combined with the ww2 setting makes it so addicting to play

You are 💯% correct . It’s crazy how Hunt requires more situational awareness and strategic tactical decision making than R6 or the modern ghost recon games .
Dude I have golden memories of Ghost Recon, in late 2001 my cousin traded me Syphon Filter 2 (PS1) for it, since my dad had just bought a new PC and my cousin's computer couldn't run it. That game completely changed gaming for me, I went from PS1 to PC with that game, it really showed me how much better PCs were and also how far games had developed, it was my intro to the modern style of gaming and I'll never forget it lol.
Although its aged...I loved playing Operation Flash Point (Arma's Grandad). Also the expansion packs were impressive too. Just put in an open world to complete a mission and being able to execute it how ever you want to. Also I have to mention Hell Let Loose..what a game!

I second this. Ghost Recon was the prime of my gaming career. Many, many good times. Did you play on any ladders back in the day? IGS and TWL are the only ones I can remember.
Same. The very first one and its addons were so close to perfection that they would only need a graphical remake, today, to surpass any other modern tactical shooter.
My favorite thing about Arma 3 is that the camera is your head. You look around, your body stays facing the same way. Every other shooter the camera is in your upper chest, and looking around causes you to turn your whole body. That little touch makes the game feel really unique and extremely immersive.
Star Wars Republic Commando!! Soooo good! I was gonna comment on this game glad I watched the whole way thru! Awesome you included it. I've been wishing for a sequel since it came out. Voice acting, soundtrack, and AI are all very well done. Been in my top five for years!

I'm a Star Wars fan no doubt, but not a hardcore one by any means. Some tactical shooters I used to really enjoy was full spectrum warrior and full spectrum warrior: ten hammers on the ps2 (also available on steam), single-player, tactical squad-based games from 04 and 06 respectively.
I loved socom 3 us navy seals I grew up watching my dad play it when I was a kid then by grade 2 or 3 I started playing it though I was only supposed to play with supervision but I didn't realize that
Arma is great! It has such a large community with players, models and scenario makers. There are loads of groups you can join from hardcore to realistic groups to more casual people who just want a good time. Another reason it’s so good is the DLC is semi-usable without purchase so you can try some of the stuff
Yeah, they never do Arma 3 justice is these videos. Like, how many of these games have combined arms integration utilizing just about any military ground vehicle, mechanized to heavy armor, air asset or naval asset available? On this list, there's only one game in which you can have a player controlled helicopter pilot transport a SEAL Team to a WLZ for helocast insert and zodiac air drop to conduct a SCUBA dive mission to sabotage OPFOR naval vessels and infrastructure. And while that's going on, you could have a F-18E or Globalhawk drone overhead providing real time ISR updates via BLUFOR tracker. And while that's going on, a Zues Operator could be changing AI or player OPFOR formations, patrol routes, adding narrative and challenge to the game play. For our missions, we provide INTEL packets that depict the situation within the last 24 hours, but that doesn't mean circumstances will be exactly the same at mission step off. To me, it seems that they use the term "tactical" very loosely in their definition of "tactical shooter".
Anyone remember Army of Two: The 40th Day? That was a great one. I mean there were so many tactical maneuvers you could pull off and the best part is if you wanna play coop you only need one other person.
Should I buy Wildlands or Breakpoint? I like Breakpoint's movement, shooting etc but the futuristic setting just isn't for me... any other idea for a tactical spec ops game? Wildlands : for the atmosphere (Bolivia's scenery, the people, DJ Periiiiico, etc.), the alchemy between the members of your squad, the rebels fighting alongside you. Breakpoint : feels empty, brings some gameplay and animations improvements over Wildlands, weird progression of the story, classes are cool IMO maybe not something expected in a GR game I suppose. If you've never played Wildlands, you won't feel the emptiness of Breakpoint. The improvements of gameplay of Breakpoint are welcome but don't replace the atmosphere of Wildlands. 🙂

I just downloaded the Ghost Recon breakpoint trial (again). Its actually everything I wanted it to be now. You can play in minimal HUD, with limited gear and AI squad mates that you can CUSTIMIZE!
@@xacvhFAs For real though, I flew out to the little islands on the north east end of the map last night. The night rolled in with a thunder storm, with the darker night option on and no HUD... It was so fucking cool sneaking up to a cliff through a camp then sniping the VIP as he got in his helicopter. Im sold now.

People are really missing out they should at least give it a try now that it’s fixed and how it was supposed to be. It also goes on sale very often. I got the ultimate edition for like $25 a while ago. Totally worth it.
Ghost Recon Wildlands is awesome. I recently bought cheap on Steam and I don't know I how overlooked this game when it released 4 years ago. It starts out rather unimpressively. But gradually gets much better as you build your skills and discover how much there is to do. There are so many different ways to do the missions. The enemy AI can be impressive also.
As opposed to your squad's AI. Also enemy AI will always pinpoint attack you, while your squad can barely function without falling over. I liked the open world, the vehicles, the guns, but Breakpoint even with it's own list of faults is just much better.
SOCOM is one of my favorite series in being tactical and strategic, You where given task either to use lethal or non lethal force while doing objective such as seek and destroy or capture an enemy. Also the rising storm 2, which if with a good full squad feels always like hamburger hill
Joint Operations is by far my favorite. Still active, still playable, still just as amazing. It's been 16 years and there's still nothing else like it.
Rainbow 6 Siege is always number 1 on the physics are extremely phenomenal, However BattleField 3 will always and forever be my favorite tactical realism game hopefully they can remaster it 1 day

I would say the Socom games should have got a mention on this list, they were basically the original tactical shooters, and I think I would swap Enlisted for Hell Let Loose. But I'm glad they had Insurgency: Sandstorm it's a very good game that often doesn't get the attention it deserves. Another game that does not get the attention it should and I think would have made a good addition to this list is HUNT: SHOWDOWN, although not a military game by any stretch of the imagination, it is a very tactical game in the approach you can, and often should take to its encounters and gunfights. Two other games I just thought of that definitely could have made this list are Beyond the Wire and Verdun as they are much more tactical and methodical in gameplay due partially to their WW1 settings.
Strong disagree from me. It feels horrible. Especially after playing Ground Branch, Zero Hour doesn't even compare. That being said, I really do wanna see ZH succeed.

I’m just worried because despite all the past updates, they haven’t fixed my main issue with the game which is that it just feels cheap and the movement is really bad and not conducive to good cqb. I hope it gets better though. Also, I’m a tad spoiled by GB’s cqb mechanics like I said earlier
I'd recommend adding Delta Force and Operation Flashpoint to this list. Yes, both are old games, the former older than the latter, but they're both quite tactical, the latter being more so than the former. With the exception of Delta Force 3, every single iteration in the series required you to carefully plan things through before you decided to hop on to a mission and try to complete it. The openish world just added to the options you could exploit to your advantage. The same goes for Operation Flashpoint, but even more so as you're commanding a squad of five men and must instruct them on every aspect including their grouping, spread, formation, rules of engagement, and offensive and defensive maneuvers. It is nowhere near as hardcore as Escape From Tarkov or ARMA, but it is just as strategic and tactical. On that note, even the new game Ready or Not is quite slow paced and tactical and would make a good addition to a part 2 of this video. Some other games to take note of would be: Brothers in Arms Red Orchestra Police Story and SWAT Hell Let Loose
Tarkov is such a mix of emotions. One moment you're walking towards extract with a backpack full if loot. Then you're mercilessly dropped with a one shot to the head. Love and pain.
I guess I’ll be the one to disagree. Hell let loose is really arcade-y in comparison to enlisted. Enlisted is also FTP and as the player base grows, so has the game’s content. However, hell let loose is definitely more polished, and is not to be ignored
It is realistic you get shot in the leg you lose a leg then have to apply a surgery on field using portable surgery kit known as CMS Kit and Survival 16 Kit you can use either of it.... but be carefull enemy will hear you when you doing a surgery on your legs or arms or even stomach and chest.
So glad you talked about the original Ghost Recon! My nephew and i played that game every night, all night one summer and it was amazing. Wish that would would get a new coat of paint!
I revisit Rainbow Six Vegas 2 from time to time it's a classic for me when it comes to squad based shooters and a personal favorite. So far I'm having a blast with Ghost Recon Breakpoint post Year 1 content

Wildlands is amazing. One of my favorite games the past generation. Playing on Tier 1 mode is the best way to play imo. So fun. My go to game. Would love a 60 fps patch for current generation consoles.
Wildlands was so fun, I actually took the time to (almost) 100% of the game. In the beta me and the bois just holed up in a little shack and had a standoff with the unidad

Hunt Showdown is a good western styled tactical game, it’s not as well known as the others on this list but it needs to be more popular it’s just really good.
I remember playing conflict desert sorm 2 and conflict global storm on hardest difficulty with a friend on lan....that was also an overall good game if you want to use tactics...and yes helicopters and tanks in cgs were the most dangerous things in any mission....and the diversity if the missions in that game was also good...good old dayz...

Wildlands became one of my favorite games and I never thought it would be. It had such a wide open world with so much to do. It also had great content events. From teaming up with SAM FISHER, to taking on freaking Predator lol such a great game! Very bummed about Breakpoint:(

I bought both wildlands and breakpoint on discount at the same time and I haven’t even finished wildlands cause once I started playing breakpoint I could not put it down, It’s so much fun I really don’t get all the hate. Most of the people hating on breakpoint have not even played it or have not tried it after all the updates and new immersive with no hud and no gear level. They even added teammates and fixed everything people were whining and complaining about! Breakpoint for me is 10X better than wildlands.

What happened is one or two time poor edgelord youtube reviewers gave it an immediate bad wrap and games journalists have no integrity so everyone just copied what they thought the cool kids thought. This usually happens with multiplats too so i wouldnt be surprised if there was some sony money involved in these type of review bombing. Wildlands is a cold empty open world with very few features in comparison to beakpoint. id never felt that sense of hiding and stealth in games before in my 30 odd years of gaming. covering yurself in dirt or mud while your prone and waiting as an enemy squad walks meters past you..... chefs kiss.

Hunt: Showdown needs to be on this list, it's heavily reliant on sound and knowing the map as well as knowing your weapons. Insurgency is a great addition to the list as well and not enough people play it
@@insanity4082 it's hard to say until you play it for the first time, the game is that fucking hardcore and doesn't let you breathe to that point where u come close to enemy and you hear their voice in proximity and you even see when they type something in chat, the world is unforgiving, honestly and flooded with zombies and shit. I mean sorry if you played it and got disappointed but it's a really good game and you should give it another shot. Probably one of the best i played for sure
Arma 3 is insane. Getting into dragged out firefights with dudes you don't know or a group of buddies is so much fun. Flying in high speeds into hot zones. Nothing beats it

I am beyond ecstatic you mentions Star Wars Republic Commandos. It's a personal favorite. Being able to control your own squad was amazing. First game I've played with this kind of gameplay and the best thing about it... I got it for $1 at an office depot grouped with other 1 disc computer games you would find in a store like that. What's awesome is they gave me that game for free when I found out I only had enough for a few pencils for $1. I still have it. And I still play it when Im feeling nostalgic and it fulfils that nostalgic feeling completely.
i fucking loved the OG ghost recon and OG RB6.... insanely fun for a ps2 games back in the day it was sooo much fun, i had a very robust AI system for your team, with working commands, able to set routes and objectives yourself, while able to switch to anyone in your squad
I play on Karmakut's ARMA 3 public server and I find it to be the closest thing to Mil Sim out there. The ACE Medical and Pharmacy mods make the medic role so intense - you can do everything from CPR, bandage, stitch, splint - the game is amazing - but only if you take the time to join a heavily modded server.

Glad GR Wildlands made the cut, even though it copped a lot of flak early on from what I saw, coming to it a year or so after release I found it to be one of the most enjoyable and most played games in my steam library. Even today it's a game that remains installed and ready to go at a moments notice.
Guys you can't make a tactical shooter video and not include the operation flashpoint games they are so in depth down to managing squad tactics and calling in artillery fire on enemy positions from a map book
@@G59forlife. Loved that game as well, still play it today. But yeah the AI sucked up close as well. Though it was harder to rush them in RSV2 than Flashpoint. I didn't play Dragon Rising though so not sure if they changed the AI there.
Loved the vid! But I was wonderin where Hunt Showdown was? Man that game scares the piss outta me. So tactical trying to fight zombies and other players. If you die by any means u lose your character permanently. Watching out for dogs in cages or birds ready to get real loud for everyone to know exactly where you are, or you could go on the hunt when you hear them in the distance. The sounds of everything footsteps, gunshots, zombies. Man that game gives me such a rush I wont get on somedays lol
There was a have called "black " which I really liked it was realistic and you could almost feel the every bullet and the scenery was destructible it was short intense but great fun.
I loved siege during the first couple years, once they began wanting to be a cod simulator with every new operator being a 3 speed it turned to straight trash.
I must be one of the only people who loves breakpoint. I've been playing it lately and yeah, when I first picked it up, I didn't like it. But I gave it another go and after finding the sweet spot with all the realism settings, i am loving it. It feels like ubisofts answer to metal gear solid V. Not really the same, but still a lot better than anyone is giving it credit for.

Dude I have golden memories of Ghost Recon, in late 2001 my cousin traded me Syphon Filter 2 (PS1) for it, since my dad had just bought a new PC and my cousin's computer couldn't run it. That game completely changed gaming for me, I went from PS1 to PC with that game, it really showed me how much better PCs were and also how far games had developed, it was my intro to the modern style of gaming and I'll never forget it lol.

Although its aged...I loved playing Operation Flash Point (Arma's Grandad). Also the expansion packs were impressive too. Just put in an open world to complete a mission and being able to execute it how ever you want to.
Also I have to mention Hell Let Loose..what a game!
The mission in Operation Flashpoint where the enemy armour turns up and you have to retreat was such a great experience.

I second this. Ghost Recon was the prime of my gaming career. Many, many good times. Did you play on any ladders back in the day? IGS and TWL are the only ones I can remember.
Same. The very first one and its addons were so close to perfection that they would only need a graphical remake, today, to surpass any other modern tactical shooter.
My favorite thing about Arma 3 is that the camera is your head. You look around, your body stays facing the same way. Every other shooter the camera is in your upper chest, and looking around causes you to turn your whole body. That little touch makes the game feel really unique and extremely immersive.
And if you add Track-IR you will never go back...
same thing in Squad. If you press Alt, you can move your head independently from the rest of your body. A really useful feature

Star Wars Republic Commando!! Soooo good! I was gonna comment on this game glad I watched the whole way thru! Awesome you included it. I've been wishing for a sequel since it came out. Voice acting, soundtrack, and AI are all very well done. Been in my top five for years!

I'm a Star Wars fan no doubt, but not a hardcore one by any means. Some tactical shooters I used to really enjoy was full spectrum warrior and full spectrum warrior: ten hammers on the ps2 (also available on steam), single-player, tactical squad-based games from 04 and 06 respectively.

Arma is great! It has such a large community with players, models and scenario makers. There are loads of groups you can join from hardcore to realistic groups to more casual people who just want a good time. Another reason it’s so good is the DLC is semi-usable without purchase so you can try some of the stuff
Yeah, they never do Arma 3 justice is these videos. Like, how many of these games have combined arms integration utilizing just about any military ground vehicle, mechanized to heavy armor, air asset or naval asset available? On this list, there's only one game in which you can have a player controlled helicopter pilot transport a SEAL Team to a WLZ for helocast insert and zodiac air drop to conduct a SCUBA dive mission to sabotage OPFOR naval vessels and infrastructure. And while that's going on, you could have a F-18E or Globalhawk drone overhead providing real time ISR updates via BLUFOR tracker. And while that's going on, a Zues Operator could be changing AI or player OPFOR formations, patrol routes, adding narrative and challenge to the game play. For our missions, we provide INTEL packets that depict the situation within the last 24 hours, but that doesn't mean circumstances will be exactly the same at mission step off. To me, it seems that they use the term "tactical" very loosely in their definition of "tactical shooter".

Should I buy Wildlands or Breakpoint? I like Breakpoint's movement, shooting etc but the futuristic setting just isn't for me... any other idea for a tactical spec ops game? Wildlands : for the atmosphere (Bolivia's scenery, the people, DJ Periiiiico, etc.), the alchemy between the members of your squad, the rebels fighting alongside you.
Breakpoint : feels empty, brings some gameplay and animations improvements over Wildlands, weird progression of the story, classes are cool IMO maybe not something expected in a GR game I suppose.
If you've never played Wildlands, you won't feel the emptiness of Breakpoint. The improvements of gameplay of Breakpoint are welcome but don't replace the atmosphere of Wildlands. 🙂

I just downloaded the Ghost Recon breakpoint trial (again). Its actually everything I wanted it to be now. You can play in minimal HUD, with limited gear and AI squad mates that you can CUSTIMIZE!
The game is awesone now. Im having too much fun with it.
@@xacvhFAs For real though, I flew out to the little islands on the north east end of the map last night. The night rolled in with a thunder storm, with the darker night option on and no HUD... It was so fucking cool sneaking up to a cliff through a camp then sniping the VIP as he got in his helicopter. Im sold now.

People are really missing out they should at least give it a try now that it’s fixed and how it was supposed to be. It also goes on sale very often. I got the ultimate edition for like $25 a while ago. Totally worth it.

Breakpoint has much more going for it now than at release, but I still have more of a soft spot for Wildlands. Had so much fun with that game.
Ghost Recon Wildlands is awesome. I recently bought cheap on Steam and I don't know I how overlooked this game when it released 4 years ago. It starts out rather unimpressively. But gradually gets much better as you build your skills and discover how much there is to do. There are so many different ways to do the missions. The enemy AI can be impressive also.
As opposed to your squad's AI. Also enemy AI will always pinpoint attack you, while your squad can barely function without falling over. I liked the open world, the vehicles, the guns, but Breakpoint even with it's own list of faults is just much better.
GRAW2 was hard for me to get into but I came back to it in like 2015 and ground out the campaign and loved every second of it

SOCOM is one of my favorite series in being tactical and strategic, You where given task either to use lethal or non lethal force while doing objective such as seek and destroy or capture an enemy. Also the rising storm 2, which if with a good full squad feels always like hamburger hill
Joint Operations is by far my favorite. Still active, still playable, still just as amazing. It's been 16 years and there's still nothing else like it.

I would say the Socom games should have got a mention on this list, they were basically the original tactical shooters, and I think I would swap Enlisted for Hell Let Loose. But I'm glad they had Insurgency: Sandstorm it's a very good game that often doesn't get the attention it deserves. Another game that does not get the attention it should and I think would have made a good addition to this list is HUNT: SHOWDOWN, although not a military game by any stretch of the imagination, it is a very tactical game in the approach you can, and often should take to its encounters and gunfights. Two other games I just thought of that definitely could have made this list are Beyond the Wire and Verdun as they are much more tactical and methodical in gameplay due partially to their WW1 settings.
Rainbow six early
Zero Hour is a GREAT tactical shooter. It's still being worked on a bit, but it is what R6S should've been
I got it strictly for the co-op/single player. It feels like tighter siege. Also it does have competitive too.
Strong disagree from me. It feels horrible. Especially after playing Ground Branch, Zero Hour doesn't even compare. That being said, I really do wanna see ZH succeed.

I’m just worried because despite all the past updates, they haven’t fixed my main issue with the game which is that it just feels cheap and the movement is really bad and not conducive to good cqb. I hope it gets better though. Also, I’m a tad spoiled by GB’s cqb mechanics like I said earlier

Republic commando was amazing indeed. I always found weird how nobody seemed to ever talk about it.
I'd recommend adding Delta Force and Operation Flashpoint to this list.
Yes, both are old games, the former older than the latter, but they're both quite tactical, the latter being more so than the former.
With the exception of Delta Force 3, every single iteration in the series required you to carefully plan things through before you decided to hop on to a mission and try to complete it. The openish world just added to the options you could exploit to your advantage.
The same goes for Operation Flashpoint, but even more so as you're commanding a squad of five men and must instruct them on every aspect including their grouping, spread, formation, rules of engagement, and offensive and defensive maneuvers. It is nowhere near as hardcore as Escape From Tarkov or ARMA, but it is just as strategic and tactical.
On that note, even the new game Ready or Not is quite slow paced and tactical and would make a good addition to a part 2 of this video.

Tarkov is such a mix of emotions. One moment you're walking towards extract with a backpack full if loot. Then you're mercilessly dropped with a one shot to the head. Love and pain.

It is realistic you get shot in the leg you lose a leg then have to apply a surgery on field using portable surgery kit known as CMS Kit and Survival 16 Kit you can use either of it.... but be carefull enemy will hear you when you doing a surgery on your legs or arms or even stomach and chest.

Wildlands is amazing. One of my favorite games the past generation. Playing on Tier 1 mode is the best way to play imo. So fun. My go to game. Would love a 60 fps patch for current generation consoles.
Wildlands was so fun, I actually took the time to (almost) 100% of the game. In the beta me and the bois just holed up in a little shack and had a standoff with the unidad

Once I learned how to play the original Ghost Recon, I was truly hooked. Tough learning curve at first.
Hunt Showdown is a good western styled tactical game, it’s not as well known as the others on this list but it needs to be more popular it’s just really good.

I remember playing conflict desert sorm 2 and conflict global storm on hardest difficulty with a friend on lan....that was also an overall good game if you want to use tactics...and yes helicopters and tanks in cgs were the most dangerous things in any mission....and the diversity if the missions in that game was also good...good old dayz...

Wildlands became one of my favorite games and I never thought it would be. It had such a wide open world with so much to do. It also had great content events. From teaming up with SAM FISHER, to taking on freaking Predator lol such a great game! Very bummed about Breakpoint:(

I bought both wildlands and breakpoint on discount at the same time and I haven’t even finished wildlands cause once I started playing breakpoint I could not put it down, It’s so much fun I really don’t get all the hate. Most of the people hating on breakpoint have not even played it or have not tried it after all the updates and new immersive with no hud and no gear level. They even added teammates and fixed everything people were whining and complaining about! Breakpoint for me is 10X better than wildlands.

What happened is one or two time poor edgelord youtube reviewers gave it an immediate bad wrap and games journalists have no integrity so everyone just copied what they thought the cool kids thought. This usually happens with multiplats too so i wouldnt be surprised if there was some sony money involved in these type of review bombing. Wildlands is a cold empty open world with very few features in comparison to beakpoint. id never felt that sense of hiding and stealth in games before in my 30 odd years of gaming. covering yurself in dirt or mud while your prone and waiting as an enemy squad walks meters past you..... chefs kiss.

I mean sorry if you played it and got disappointed but it's a really good game and you should give it another shot. Probably one of the best i played for sure

I am beyond ecstatic you mentions Star Wars Republic Commandos. It's a personal favorite. Being able to control your own squad was amazing. First game I've played with this kind of gameplay and the best thing about it... I got it for $1 at an office depot grouped with other 1 disc computer games you would find in a store like that. What's awesome is they gave me that game for free when I found out I only had enough for a few pencils for $1. I still have it. And I still play it when Im feeling nostalgic and it fulfils that nostalgic feeling completely.
Verdun is a pretty good tactical shooter. It's very realistic.
i fucking loved the OG ghost recon and OG RB6.... insanely fun for a ps2 games back in the day it was sooo much fun, i had a very robust AI system for your team, with working commands, able to set routes and objectives yourself, while able to switch to anyone in your squad
Squad is amazing!! Can't recommend it enough.
I play on Karmakut's ARMA 3 public server and I find it to be the closest thing to Mil Sim out there. The ACE Medical and Pharmacy mods make the medic role so intense - you can do everything from CPR, bandage, stitch, splint - the game is amazing - but only if you take the time to join a heavily modded server.

Glad GR Wildlands made the cut, even though it copped a lot of flak early on from what I saw, coming to it a year or so after release I found it to be one of the most enjoyable and most played games in my steam library. Even today it's a game that remains installed and ready to go at a moments notice.
Wildlands is good game, but is not good ghost recon.
Guys you can't make a tactical shooter video and not include the operation flashpoint games they are so in depth down to managing squad tactics and calling in artillery fire on enemy positions from a map book
How good is Dragon Rising? I was considering buying it, but dont want to risk wasting money.
Aw man I loved Flashpoint back in the day. Though the AI when you got up close to them was pretty bad.

@@G59forlife. Loved that game as well, still play it today. But yeah the AI sucked up close as well. Though it was harder to rush them in RSV2 than Flashpoint. I didn't play Dragon Rising though so not sure if they changed the AI there.

Loved the vid! But I was wonderin where Hunt Showdown was? Man that game scares the piss outta me. So tactical trying to fight zombies and other players. If you die by any means u lose your character permanently. Watching out for dogs in cages or birds ready to get real loud for everyone to know exactly where you are, or you could go on the hunt when you hear them in the distance. The sounds of everything footsteps, gunshots, zombies. Man that game gives me such a rush I wont get on somedays lol

There was a have called "black " which I really liked it was realistic and you could almost feel the every bullet and the scenery was destructible it was short intense but great fun.
Hunt: Showdown would fit quite good in here

Siege was amazing for a few years. The operators got out of hand after a while. Lost me after year 3

I loved siege during the first couple years, once they began wanting to be a cod simulator with every new operator being a 3 speed it turned to straight trash.
@@TheRealCake for me it was when they stopped releasing new maps and weapons, they got lazy with content, it got boring

I must be one of the only people who loves breakpoint. I've been playing it lately and yeah, when I first picked it up, I didn't like it. But I gave it another go and after finding the sweet spot with all the realism settings, i am loving it.
It feels like ubisofts answer to metal gear solid V. Not really the same, but still a lot better than anyone is giving it credit for.
I also love it. I have 612 hours on it. Wish Ubisoft would take a better care of it...
Breakpoint has been amazing after the patches. It’s not 100% but it’s far more engaging than ever. Give it another chance
