In this video, I introduce my buddy, Matt's 91 Jeep Wrangler that is getting K-Swapped. This may be the worlds first K-Series in a Jeep, If not let me know! This Jeep is getting a K24A2 4 Cylinder out of a Acura TSX mated to a GM 4l60e auto transmission with a FABbot adapter plate joining the two. We have a group of dudes coming together with ideas to get this Jeep going with some Honda power under the hood. Stay tuned for more content on this build. Like and subscribe to make sure you don't miss anything. Comment with any questions and I'll be answering them in the next video.

It’s crazy, I’ve been considering an idea like this for years, I just figured there’s no support for this, props to you guys👍👍👍 you are your support
I'm planning documenting this build so others can follow
update video is now up
I am all about a K swap for a lot of vehicles namely a Miata or something light and quick. One of my Jeeps would not be my first choice. The K24 doesn't offer the low end torque that we benefit from from off-road. I would stroke a Jeep 4.0 which is what I have. Other choices would be a VW TDI, 4BT. or LS long before I would consider a K motor. Defiantly going to follow along to see how it does.
This Jeep is definitely a Guinea Pig. We will see how it goes! Thanks for watching!
if the 4cyl 2.5s with the right gearing can still sling 40s, i see no problem with a K series having any issues being able to turn big tires, let alone after 5-10 psi from a turbo. i couldn't see how that motor would really struggle.
@@minegun3 I agree!
K24 stock makes about same low end torque as the 2.5 but easily outpowers even a stock 4.2 let alone a clapped out 25 year old one, specially in the upper end plus it has a higher rpm meaning you dont have to shift as often. Power is power matter where it comes from. Torque is also just a measure of gearing so with the right gears it should work really nicely (not sure. Since i dont know anyone whos build a k-swap jeep) but then again this is why i think this is a genius idea.
@@albertobu I will be updating the build as it goes along. Even after to let people know how it is off road and driving.
You heart your what ? 😂🤣
I love my Jeep lol
Sooooo someone (don't know who)put it on my Jeep Tj and now we move it from project to project 😂

I wanted to do this, but couldn’t find a k to ax15 adapter, the 4l60 is a good trans option if you like auto
you cant beat a AX-15 imo

Any update on this build? I'm in the process of getting parts together to do a k24 turbo build on my tj
Im currently working on getting some footage together to upload. Hopefully the motor mounts are going to get welded in soon
Can't wait to see!

So ive been looking at a K Swap for a while and havent been able to find alot on it. The motor has a ton of after market support. Halteck has ECUs for it along with wiring harness. Also may be able to get a 4 into 1 header from maybe ebay to run it out the back. There are also some drive by cable kits too unless you guys are doing drive by wire. look at boostedbois youtube they have a ton of Kswap info. they just put a K power paint in a jetboat and turboed it. may send them a DM and see what they say.
Good deal, man. Thanks!
Second this
@@chrisgraffam3357 me too
I love this idea, been looking for ideas of good 4 cylinder engines for a light jeep
Awesome, stay tuned for the next video

@@TheDeathsentence123 we are working on getting more footage of this rig. We have been waiting on a lot of parts. Parts are now starting to show up.
@@sixfeetunderfab Awesome. How much was that k20 plate to transmission? My friend told me that we should try putting a k24 that I have on my 91 XJ 4.0l 4x4. Lol

I am definitely interested in something like this. I am wanting to do a engine swap. I was looking at the new four-cylinder LS from blue print engines that was just displayed a couple days ago. They still don’t have much information. on when it will be available for purchase.
I saw those too. What are you motor swapping? a Jeep?
@@sixfeetunderfab yes I have a 2001 jeep wrangler that I want to put something in it. Eventually I have currently a four-cylinder I’ve done the small mods that you can do fuel injectors, gearing, throttlebody, but I want something I can put in it before I pass it off to my son when he gets his drivers license I have four years until then
@@christoffchefful that is gonna be awesome!

weird how this isn’t more common jeeps are one of the most common off-road vehicles and one of the most engine swapped vehicles period and the k20 and k24 are the most popular swapped engines and especially the k24 that’s torquey idk why this hasn’t been done sooner and why we don’t have more examples
haha we are gonna find out!

I wanna k swap a liberty because 🤷🏼♂️ who expects a fast liberty
that'd be sick!

2jz seems kind of like another wild swap. big revs and power
thats the plan!
the updated video is now uploaded
2jz isn't very good in offroad applications, non turbo versions aren't very good and the turbo version (unless you do a sequential twin) are lacking in low end power and are very laggy.
the 2j is a great drag or drift motor as both of those you stay in the upper rpm range and in boost, not something you do offroading.
I am in the beginning/planning stages of doing a K-Swap on a 62 Scout 80. Coincidentally I am planning on using the same transmission.
Thats awesome! I believe this swap is about to be popular.

Been itching to do a turbo k24a in my JKu. Miss my swapped integra lol.
that would be wicked!

@@sixfeetunderfab Nothing to be sorry about! Just stoked you posted!
Umm......jeep is a jeep, seems like unnecessary risk. Perhaps you enjoy wrenching more than driving. Plenty of proven platforms. Document every part for the next owner.
LS or hemi would be my first choice. I'm currently in the middle of a 5.3 swap in my 79 Cherokee.
It's a why not sorta situation. Have you ever driven a k swapped wrangler? Didnt think so? And the original 2.5l in this Jeep was blown about a month ago
I thank its a badass swap that im also looking into. theres not alot of risk with the K series they run great make good power. After seen Boostedbois put one in a jet boat its like why not lol .

Cool swap, never was a fan of the YJ body style but to each his own. Kswap the world!
haha, I've heard a lot of people say they don't like the YJ's. I like them though. Haha kinda the ugly duckling of the Jeeps.
the updated video is now uploaded. Check it out!
I've had a 2.5l YJ for years and just got a 04 CRV with a K24 as a beater. The thing has really grown on me and I see people making seriour powere out of them. I a;lso saw the LS head 4 cylender a few days a go but liklely be a small fortune. I did a search and came up with your video. I would be interested in retaining a manual trans. Have a decent AX5 but would need a 15 if this is possible.
The AX-15 behind it would be awesome but it would probably have to be a custom adapter plate. I'm gonna do some research on that. Thanks for watching!
