His analysis of everything is great. Its cool to see him break everything down the way he does. Rationalizing food binges. Talking about the balance between growing up and making enough money off crossfit to continue to do it. Some athletes just workout, while this guy uses his brain as much as his body. Id like to see him even when hes done competing himself, as a crossfit representative or commentator. He's an inspiration, and hopefully everything works out for him. Very unique perspective
Thanks Dan Bailey for recognizing how hard it is for the people who don't make money doing crossfit and have to work hard and struggle to take care of their family's, and only getting to train when they can fit it in. It's very discouraging at times when you have to work a 8 hr manual labor job, have two kids and a wife to support, and somewhere during the chaos of the day find time time go train.
I view Dan Bailey as an inspiration, because back in May (2014) I was 250 pounds, I needed to loose weight, build muscle, rebuild my confidence after long-term rejections from employers, and look and feel my best while I'm still young (32 Sept 4). Since May 2014 (It's now August 5) I'm now down to 200.9 pounds, my body is noticeably changing shape, and I look and feel great with great spirits and I'm loving working out at the club and at home. Even though I can't find work and I have to live with my dad, this working out stuff is really helping me out and making feel worth living again. Working out at my club is the medicine to my weight problem, my muscle problems and my confidence problems; I will NEVER say it was for nothing. Dan Bailey is one of many examples of inspiration, and I want a body just like that, muscle and hotness. So I view Bailey and other workout videos not just inspirational, but something to learn from. I always learn from those who are proven worthy.
You just described my coaching career, life with 2 kids and a wife and trying to keep with the joy of competitive crossfiting. Very difficult, very new with no real direction, but I'm hoping worth the work. -Coach Juvie
My inspiration. I want to be as fast and strong one day. The parent thing hit home. Ironic, they think I'm a lazybastard but they don't know how much heart and effort I put in on this. Oh well. You really can't make parents happy. Thanks Dan.
dan bailey worked his ass off to reach to this level of a crossfit pro. i think within 2 years he might be better than rich and khalipa. i still think rich is an amazing athlete tho
Chris Bellville are you a gymrate that think a 45lb crossfitplate "bumper plate", is lighter then a 45lb powerlifting plate ? question, what weight more, 10lb cotton or 10lb rock? ;)

When Dan said he occasionally eats "8 dozen" donuts, was that "8 to 12 donuts" or eight dozen (8x12) 96 donuts. I hope its 96.
