Thank you so much! Normally every 1.5 hours I spend editing results in a minute of finished video. So a 5-minute video would take me about 7.5 hours to complete spread over several days (sometimes weeks) when I feel like editing during my free time. Admittedly, I'm super pumped about Smash Bros. and was a bit eager to get this video out quickly while the hype is still alive. I also spent more time on the visual gags and looking for jokes since the source is so long. I spent about 9 hours in the editor spread over two days where I had about 13 hours of total free time (One was my day off). Would I like to spend more of my free time editing than I have recently? Absolutely. I think a healthy balance can be struck between work, responsibilities, editing, and my other leisure activities. Will I continue to post videos multiple times a week? Probably not. Funny how that works, that I can sometimes spend more time on a video and it still comes out more quickly. Glad you enjoyed :)
What an unusually socially-conscious UA-cam Poop. I know it's not really expected of the medium, but I honestly appreciate the degree of care put into not upsetting people. It was still a very funny video even without the on-the-nose offensive shit, that stuff's not really necessary when it comes to making a video funny.

Me and a few people I know at college have actually taken to calling Smash U's classic mode "Sick Mode" after this video, because it's changed so much that it's hardly "classic" anymore. Whether it's an affectionate or non-affectionate nickname varies from person to person.
This is much better than your previous 2 videos! In the last 2 I didn't understand most of the jokes and the repitition on some jokes ruined it. Only complaint on this is I don't quite get why "23 clear movies" is repeated as much as it is. But this was hilarious, laughing the whole way! :)
That was actually the last joke (Or set of jokes) I edited in. I was nearly ready to render before those were part of it, but I didn't feel there was much of a break between announcer lines. Like, it jumped from one to the other like a run-on sentence. I figured it was a good opportunity to also exploit the fact that that sound plays so many times in the Nintendo Direct. And I made something about the "23 Clear Jokes" screen a bit different every time so it wouldn't get too boring. Repetition changes the meaning of something a bit each time, even if it's unaltered at face value. Those jokes are for those who appreciate the nuance like I do. I love how YTP's have evolved since they first came out to the point where there are enough to call some 'classics' or 'masterpieces', like stepping stones in the continual evolution of the spontaneous medium. This vid was really awesome, especially considering the seriously short amount of time you made it in
Thank you so much! Normally every 1.5 hours I spend editing results in a minute of finished video. So a 5-minute video would take me about 7.5 hours to complete spread over several days (sometimes weeks) when I feel like editing during my free time.
Admittedly, I'm super pumped about Smash Bros. and was a bit eager to get this video out quickly while the hype is still alive. I also spent more time on the visual gags and looking for jokes since the source is so long. I spent about 9 hours in the editor spread over two days where I had about 13 hours of total free time (One was my day off).
Would I like to spend more of my free time editing than I have recently? Absolutely. I think a healthy balance can be struck between work, responsibilities, editing, and my other leisure activities. Will I continue to post videos multiple times a week? Probably not.
Funny how that works, that I can sometimes spend more time on a video and it still comes out more quickly. Glad you enjoyed :)

What an unusually socially-conscious UA-cam Poop. I know it's not really expected of the medium, but I honestly appreciate the degree of care put into not upsetting people. It was still a very funny video even without the on-the-nose offensive shit, that stuff's not really necessary when it comes to making a video funny.
..and yet there's people being upset about something in the YTP. Plus the fact that the GameCube controller was mocked, but that's very likely to be just a poke towards that group of people who will swear by that controller.

This is much better than your previous 2 videos! In the last 2 I didn't understand most of the jokes and the repitition on some jokes ruined it. Only complaint on this is I don't quite get why "23 clear movies" is repeated as much as it is.
But this was hilarious, laughing the whole way! :)
That was actually the last joke (Or set of jokes) I edited in. I was nearly ready to render before those were part of it, but I didn't feel there was much of a break between announcer lines. Like, it jumped from one to the other like a run-on sentence. I figured it was a good opportunity to also exploit the fact that that sound plays so many times in the Nintendo Direct. And I made something about the "23 Clear Jokes" screen a bit different every time so it wouldn't get too boring.
Repetition changes the meaning of something a bit each time, even if it's unaltered at face value. Those jokes are for those who appreciate the nuance like I do.
