For anyone who may not know. When the two GN drives are lined up it allows the Qan(T) to use Quantum Burst. In the movie this was used to communicate with the aliens via quantum brainwaves. I don't know if provides an offensive or defense boost, just that it gives everyone in the vicinity a shared consciousness.
It also allows it to teleport an unknown, but incredibly long, distance when paired with the GN bits, and the gate they can make. All the way to the ELS homeworld.
The whole communating with aliens thing is not for offense nor defense since the suits primary goal is for greater understanding between sentient beings I say this while the suit has a buster rifle, which is ironic
well. iirc it was more like that the Drives of the Quant where especialy designed to be used in Twin Drive(unlike 00 and his drives(0 Gundam and Exias) who just barely managed to go over the safety part of the Twin Drive activation)so they where more powerfull out of the box , and the direct Connection of the Two drives amplified the GN Particel Production even further which lead to such an amount of Particels Being Released that he just... kinda achived Lightspeed....
as i build this, its kinda like nu gundam. with the funnel/bits hanging to the left. its the titular characters final ms. wonder if 00 quanta looks nice in nu gundam colours...
I'm glad you noticed that the arms aren't suppose to be symmetrical but there's a white part from the D Runner that goes on the back of the left arm so I hope you didn't already lose that part.
ZakuAurelius yeah on one page they show the armor assembly of the right arm and then on the next page they show the armor assembly of the left arm and since they give you doubles of both those runners I can totally see how it would be easy to get confused about that.
Router25 they are actually selling the an extra sword that goes on the right shoulder. you can exchange the sword with a spare shield, but that would obviously cost more than youv want it to.
I have all Setsuna's MS: NG 1/100 Exia Trans AM mode, PG 00 Raiser all painted and water slide decals. Also the MG Quan[T] to do. For the other Gundam Meisters I have all in NG 1/100 Seravee, Arios and Cherudim in Designer's colors. Of course I have all water slides decals already for the kits (stickers are awful) I have to do but for now I'm focusing on my Zeta and ZZ kits. Done painted and water slided: MG Zeta (my second Gunpla and the first kit I painted with Tamiya Bombs before I got my airbrush) and MG Hyaku Shiki 1.0. Building now: MG RX178 Mark II 2.0, got rid of some seam lines, primer them and also the white pieces. To do: MG ZZ Full Armor and Qubeley MKII. I just need the water slides for those two. On a side note I hate modifying my kits except for some detailing. When I buy a Gunpla it's just like when I'm buying a figure, I want it to stick as closely to the original. I just paint, panel line, a bit of weathering but not too much, water slide, top coat them to give them a realistic look.
Good review. Have you seen the pictures of the HG 00 Qan[t] Kai from the GBFT special that'll be coming out? Any thoughts about how it'll compare to the original Quanta, since Shia replaced the GN Sword V and the sword bits? I always thought the GN Sword V's Buster Sword looks a little goofy, being so long and flat. The other kits of interest to me are the Scramble, also from the GBFT special, and the new Barbatos Lupis, which I think will be to season 2 what the first Barbatos kit was to season 1. Mid-season upgrades, right? No new Grimgerde yet, however the new enemy mobile suit has a more unique design for the Gundam franchise. And as usual, no extra posing hands yet.
I like the Astraea design! So I have the HG of the standard and F-type. But not interested so much in the RG. The more details and part separation is cool, but HGs have more weapons and better proportions in my opinion.
The BTF Full saber is for the MG. Not unless they made a new one for the RG. Edit: found this: www.gundamkitscollection.com/2016/06/rg-1144-00-quanta-full-saber-add-on-3rd.html
My Qant head also kinda loose and very easy to pop off maybe because it hole is little bit bigger for the ball joint to fit in . Is there any solution for that ??
As a huge UC fanboy, who hasn't been very impressed with most of the other series ( Even wing which got me into gundam originally). I thought OO was fantastic, it felt like a complete story almost of UC level. unfortunately awakening of the trailblazer left me a bit confused, and the lack of on screen time for the Qan T was a letdown.
I don't think the 00 Qan (T) was meant to actually fight. It was made strictly to utilize the Twin Drive System to communicate with other life forms using Quantum Brainwaves. That said, I also was letdown by the Qan (T)'s screen time.

+ZakuAurelius Thanks man. I usually skip RG kits if I already have an HG version of it. Since I don't have an HG Sinanju, I'm considering getting the RG version.

how about if there're six of them?

The whole communating with aliens thing is not for offense nor defense since the suits primary goal is for greater understanding between sentient beings

The shield does have a second GN drive and combining them let's you teleport to Jupiter or something.
lol hahaha
+ZakuAurelius it's true. 😂
Not just Jupiter, I think it's a wormhole or something like that to transport anywhere in space much quicker than conventional methods.

that kit is great!
5 years after, is the RG still holding up?
the upper arms joint became loose overtime, the other part still holding up pretty well
Getting PG Strike Gundam as my first Gunpla. #Y0L0
Nice! I never built a PG Gundam before and hope you enjoy your PG Strike Gundam!
My god u r beast
Tri Quach so savage jumping rite in aren't you i like it
Tri Quach 1972 I know this is late but I think you shouldnt get a pg its hard and considering its your first you should probably start with a HG
Bruh I start with fg and it takes one hour to completed haha.
The Dorito torso proportions are hilarious! Great review.
Strange that it has those shields on both forearms. The original only had that on the right arm.
The blue and white forearm part was mirrorred so you can either have it symmetric, too bad for the shoulder unless you did not attach the shoulder tip
Router25 they are actually selling the an extra sword that goes on the right shoulder. you can exchange the sword with a spare shield, but that would obviously cost more than youv want it to.
There would be a p-bandai release of the full saber variant! 😀

zaku you may have built it wrong has the lower arms do not have 2 "gauntlets" only one
i do like that you can make this kit symmetrical
the left arm is supposed to not have the blue forearm bit. its supposed to be less armored to balance out that massive shield i guess??

As you could see, the head popped off kinda easily while trying to show the articulation. other than that no problems.
Such a shame though that the RG didn't have the Quantum burst Gimmick. The MG version has it.
Only the Metal Build can execute the Burst Mode properly. The MG's chest Condenser doesn't pop out.
