i don't know why everyone is shitting on the cat ears so much, i guess it's just one of those polarizing things about the kit, i think they're great, it was surely one of the biggest selling point for me
My main issue with the kit are the sword bits are very fragile, i opened one up and the claw clip broke! Its still possible to have it held together but you basically need to take it off and put it back on to get it back into whichever form.
This happened to mine a while back and I was more upset than I probably should be. I remember building transient and had no problem with the connectors that held the swords. In fact I think I missed a nub and took the transients weapons apart and put it back together and it was fine. Then the same part on Shia Quanta shield/sword thing just breaks on me. I was building the RG Sinanju and the problems were already popping up on that build, I didn't need a BF kit to break on me.
If you did modify the plate where the backpack arm comes from could you attach 2 backpacks (if you bought 2 kits) for each shoulder or is there only one peg? Planning on getting at least one of these.
I think she bought a separate kit for the GN sword IV (i think that's the one) and it came with a different backpack so you could attach on both sides .
That would be the BTF RG 1/144 Full Saber IV. It's designed to be fully compatible with the HG and RG Qan[t], but you apparently need to use the original blue backpack from the HG Qan[t] to attach the Full Saber to the Shia Qan[t]. I intend on painting it all green.
Ohnli You yeah of course it would be possible. You'll have to chop and screw a bit but it could be done. Fortunately, the shoulder armor is the same so you wouldn't need to mod that at all (unlike the regular 00Q which has asymmetrical shoulder armor)
I plan to buy this kit and use it for an egyptian mythology inspired custom (some sculpting and a full repaint will be necessary for that and I'll need to find some specific kind of pieces). It will be my first custom ever and I'm very excited about it. This video helped me picture what colour I will use on which areas and also I'll need to sacrifice the GN sword to make an energy bow out of it (once again some sculpting will be necessary). I'll order this Gunpla next month and I'll start working on this custom project as soon as I'll receive it!
If y'all didn't know, an ex standard Barbados lupus is coming up, and a banshee norn too I can t predict the ones after those two, so yeah You can thank me later after you search these But im not sure if there's a prototype for the banshee norn so yeah
ZakuAurelius so i kinda looked at youre facebook page, and saw a banshee norn i knew there was a banshee norn since i accidentaly clicked on the wikipedia page for the sd ex standard kits, and saw those two
It was pretty obvious across the entire review that you didn't really watch Gundam 00 or at least the movie. Because I think that that the MS design really only grows on you if you watch it in action first. Still cool to see that the articulation is as good as with the other 00 kits.
So I just finished this gunpla and I've noticed a few extra pieces left. Some the seem to be extra head parts an extra yellow collar piece, and what looks to be a blue chin piece for the head. What are these pieces for and can I use them? I know I've assembled it correctly and didn't miss anything.
BuckBounty this is a buildfighters kit and its original design is the 00 quanta so those parts are for the hg 00 quanta but was replaced by new parts so you wont really need them anymore
I get the parts that attach to the back of the knee joints and the arm guard on the right arm from the original HG 00 Qan [T] paint those green and add them on to Shia Qan [T].
I think it'd be really cool if you could turn the sword bits back into the spears of the Transient Gundam. That's the only thing this kit lets down for me.
Is it just me or are the proportions a little off? Like the legs being too long or the torso a little too short. Idk somethings off. Also Great review man.
In my opinion the Qan[t] is the only one that was developed fully. Harute had too much on its backpack and no locking mechanism for its transformations. Pieces also kept falling off of it in every review I saw. So I ended up picking the Arios and GN Archer instead. Zabanya has a lot of its holsters that don't work, and they just end up looking big and blocky. Raphael was basically designed to fail as a model, given the super top heavy design. I chose Seravee and Seraphim. And I passed on the Qan[t] itself because the Buster Sword looks so ridiculously flat and long and the sculpt always looked off (I had the 00 Raiser anyway). The RG is much more tempting, and then there's this.
those were model kits, but if they were to include a stand or effect part to equip on the sword bits then itll be a better kit. i meeant the overall design and technology of the 00 Quan[T]. RG is definitely the bang for the buck if i recall(im not sure of the phrase lol im not native english speaker obviously) for the quality detail, and design that you're paying for. shia quanta is just a remodel of the HG quanta imo so apples and oranges.
Mark Mejia New armour pieces give the Shia Qan[t] slightly better articulation in places. It also has some different accesories, and some might argue it holds together better than its original. I've seen videos where people mention that their original Qan[t]'s joints have loosened over time. Of course, we'll only know if the Shia Qan[t] has the same issue after 6 or so years pass. But I'm not worried about that. I've already assembled and painted my BTF Full Saber IV ahead of even buying my Shia Qan[t]. Gonna wait for it to go on sale.
i don't know why everyone is shitting on the cat ears so much, i guess it's just one of those polarizing things about the kit, i think they're great, it was surely one of the biggest selling point for me
for me the cat ears are one of the main selling points of this kit
Are the cat ears suppose to act as extra sensors for the sword bits? If so, that would be badass.
GenJotsu yeah that would be cool. But they are most likely there cause they can be.
My main issue with the kit are the sword bits are very fragile, i opened one up and the claw clip broke! Its still possible to have it held together but you basically need to take it off and put it back on to get it back into whichever form.

Ya, luckily its still fixable, i stuck a little sticky tac around where the claw connects the little bar so it holds better, working for me.
+Sono Thankfully, it still bummed me out.
Under the UV light, it looked like the shia qan t is in Trans Am
I think it's worth mentioning that it includes all the parts to make the original HG 00Q head if you're _really_ that turned off by the cat ears.
i am getting the kit just for the cat ear head
does this kit come with parts to use instead of the kitty ears??
Hey Zach... can you build the regular Quan [T] head with this kit? Does it have all the parts to build the regular head?
have you seen the hg raiser?
If you did modify the plate where the backpack arm comes from could you attach 2 backpacks (if you bought 2 kits) for each shoulder or is there only one peg? Planning on getting at least one of these.
yes u could check out prime92 review she shows this off kinda
lol. I actually saw her video when it came out. I guess I wasn't paying attention but thanks. I will rewatch it now :)

Love this kit, but I have an issue with the wing binders breaking really easily.
You think its possible to get 2 binders on this kit? How would I mod it to do it?
Ohnli You yeah of course it would be possible. You'll have to chop and screw a bit but it could be done. Fortunately, the shoulder armor is the same so you wouldn't need to mod that at all (unlike the regular 00Q which has asymmetrical shoulder armor)
So essentially all I need is just another shia qan T and it should be possible with nothing else?
Ohnli You Right. You'll need some tools to do the job of course.
How would you compare the Shia Qan[t] to the Gyancelot or ZZII? Seemed a more apt comparison, imo.
It seems he forgot about those kits because he only mentioned the Beargguy and Scramble Gundam.

I mentioned the Barbatos kit in the last episode of Gunpla News. Hadn't seen about the Banshee yet though.
Btw banshee norn is dm
ZakuAurelius so i kinda looked at youre facebook page, and saw a banshee norn
i knew there was a banshee norn since i accidentaly clicked on the wikipedia page for the sd ex standard kits, and saw those two
im expecting oo qan[t], astaroth, and unicorn phoenix (or is it phenex) to show up
That was my favourite gandam
😍😍😍😍😍😍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Kdjdbxbshjhsdhshxs
that is the gn shield with a gn drive inside

I watched the series but not the movie.
ZakuAurelius hey Zaku. For the record. The backpack thing on the quanta is a shield. just so you know
Woah no need to be so hard on Zach man just because he doesn't know that much about 00.
Darth Jaulce I'm not being hard on him dude. just wanted to let him know sense it seemed like he couldn't figure out what it was.

Does the shield cause weight issue? Will Shia Qan[t] tilt after some time like HG OOQan[t] does?
Does the HG Shia’s Qan T come with any leftover parts?
Yes quite a few
Is this a good starter kit ?I haven’t built a gundam before and im looking for a good kit to start with. could u recommend some?
Yeah it’s a fine one! Easy for a beginner but cool weapons/gimmicks and solid articulation good for posing
I get the parts that attach to the back of the knee joints and the arm guard on the right arm from the original HG 00 Qan [T] paint those green and add them on to Shia Qan [T].
Do anyone know if the Shia Qant bends less to the side of the shield than the RG Qant?
cool poses and great review sir Zack :)
Can I bring this on an airplane?
I think it'd be really cool if you could turn the sword bits back into the spears of the Transient Gundam. That's the only thing this kit lets down for me.
Is it just me or are the proportions a little off? Like the legs being too long or the torso a little too short. Idk somethings off. Also Great review man.
Female version of the Qan[t]?
All HGOO kits more or less have this proportion issue. OO Gundam and Qan[t] suffer from it more than others though.
great video Zack. btw its a GN Shield
Or GN Binder.
CAT EARS FTW!!!
gonna pick this up, enhance all the joints with superglue.
00 movie is meh, but quanta is good MS.

i see.
