When you have a GPU having higher cpu utilization doesn’t help frames (unless a bottleneck obviously) it will just boost/turbo up to the speeds it’s necessary this doesn’t help any in game performance only makes it use unnecessary power and heat wich makes it louder. Just note not trying to hate I mean it in a friendly way, it might be useful in situations I haven’t thought about. Anyway good video keep it up buddy!
wat helpt dan wel?

Here a tip for people about Minium Processor state and If you set the minimum processor speed to 100 percent, the processor will always run at maximum speed. In the same way, if you set the minimum base multiplier to 0%, it will run at the minimum base multiplier, which is usually half of the CPU core speed. The CPU can adjust core speed in the blink of an eye, so keeping processor speed to 100% is unnecessary and will use more electricity. And if you like results over power saving, you should hold the minimum processor speed to 5-10 percent.
yep tested when i put it at 0 i lost 1 ghz when i turned it up i gained 1.39 which is 3.39
so put minimun on 5 and max on 100?
@Edvinas404 Lol 🤣 So true He be like "Hey guys to day I'm going to show you how to boost your electricity bill"
blink of the eye can make stuters
for the 7950x having the CPU set to 100 on min and max only increases the power consumption by 30w. The performance boost of having the min and max the same is so that the processor doesnt have to call for extra resources, sure it might take a nanosecond to go up but even that can still cause an application like a game to "stutter"
having the max set to 80% for this CPU will consume around 160w max and the setting the min below 30% does nothing because the CPU can only go down to 2.9Ghz so the min amount of power it was using was 140w. the only way to lower this further is by going into the BIOS and changing the voltage curve on it manually. So in conclusion if you want your CPU to not have to make calls to increase frequency but also keep the power usage low, match the values but also undervolt your CPU.
If you're looking for a quick guide on youtube to speed up yphr pc, you probably should not be messing with these settings. If common fixes are not helping you, pay someone to see if they can speed it up, or if you need new components. DO NOT BRICK YOUR SYSTEMS BASED ON ANY UA-cam VIDEO GUIDE. Computers are not all identical and sometimes need specific and targeted fixes. This guide will not guarantee that your pc will run smoother. Again, if you dont know what those settings are, do not mess with them.

hey, my power setting don't have the options like yours. Min Power state it shows on battery : 5% and plugged in : 5% intead of 'settings' you shown.
There are many such changes as well.
Leave the Number of Processors unchecked. In that state it will use all your cores. Checking the box and selecting a different number is only useful for troubleshooting, and if you upgrade to a processor with more cores, having it manually set to the max from your old processor will take away that advantage until you realize your error.
As for the other settings, I believe the most impactful thing you did was to disable unneeded startup programs.
If I leave it unchecked and restart, it reverts back to 1 from 2.
@@Leyenda1 Yeah but is it using just 1? Look in task manager and see how many it shows.

Wow, my i9 12900k has become a Nasa-PC. 😏
The Core "unlocking" isn't even necessary, Windows and games always uses the maximum they support.
If you play games like Euro Truck Simulator 2, you have 1 Core and another 1 Thread in use. Intel users can kinda cheat, because that way you can use 1 P-Core and another Thread and 1 E-Core.
But games like Cyberpunk 2077 or Minecraft Windows Store uses all cores, no matter if E- or P-Core.
The second option gives differences.
The Energy Saver mode will give you a lot of stutter in games, but on windows usage, you will see no difference.
In Balanced mode games run smooth and windows also. Video rendering works just fine with all cores in use.
The Performance mode change nothing else then always maxing the core speeds, which is in Windows unecessary. In games, it may can reduce stutter, but never seen a difference. If you overclock, then you might want to use the Performance mode, because else the E-Cores will lock around 3,9 Ghz, no matter what in games.
All in all these "tips" are the basic UA-cam tips that doesn't do anything.
The last time I really seen a difference with activating all cores was with the FX 8300, which always parked 4 cores.
Probably it would work with the Ryzen 9 7900X3D and 7950X3D, because they have kinda the same way they're manufactured with 2 CCDs, one with 3DV-Cache and one without.
But it can also result in worse performance, because now Windows or games don't know which one to use. 🤔
Thanks! Now I can focus better when playing Roblox.
Glad it was helpful! ❣️😊

You missed changing the PCI Express settings to no power savings and the hard drive spin down time. All these settings you changed are by default, the values you see in your video. Everything else is ok, although changing the number of processors and stuff in MSCONFIG is asking for trouble. That whole section with MSCONFIG should not be done by anyone unless debugging something.

I guess there are good reasons the settings are as they are, so there must be a price paid, be it more energy use (electricity bill) or more wear & tear of the hardware?

from 3.5 ghz to 3.7 not much of a difference, processor - ryzen 7 5800H
Your PC or laptop will reduce its useful life drastically if you do these steps, especially the processors. The computer already uses all its processors, just not at the same time, because this over-demand would be counterproductive.
if ur on a new windows, search edit power plan, then do change advanced power settings to get there
I am a firm believe that this is all bullshit, that its just bs to get clicks. i have been a recording engineer using protools as my daw since 2000. i have spent endless cash trying to chase lower latency and performance headroom. this video is amazing. its so easy. the only thing i had different from what you suggested was my processors was set to 1 inst=ead of 12. just simply amazing. thanks. this will get spammed out to all of my cohorts ..
can you explain why we need to put zero on the minimum power state ? mine is 100%
It's at what percentage of charge your computer will run the slowest(minimum performance) so you put 0 so your computer always runs at a maximun and never goes to minimum
@@thristangamer2576Then why the maximum power state is 100?
@@fergthediddly3238so that when doing any intensive task it gives its 100% performance 👍and minimum is for idle state
unfortunately, setting the number of processors to max made no change whatsoever. thanks for the insight anyhow.
Yeah that's because windows manages the number of the processors itself so the set cores is just for debugger people who like to test out what will happen to the cpu speed by limiting the cores

@@KvngTomawhat did you do then??
Do we really need to change?
Cause normally my CPU speed is 1ghz but sometimes it goes to 4.4ghz auto...i don't see point of changing that it will reduce battery life
For Someone who wants to play games for a while it can be done and then make it back to normal.
What you've changed in "msconfig" is actually meant for developers and debuggers to see how the system and programs behave on it with less CPU power and less RAM. If these settings are turned off, the system itself will set the most optimal values there. If you are a regular user, these settings will not help you in any way, and may even harm you, up to the inability to start the system.
It can be done for gaming and then normal mode.
Wait so do I not do the msconfig? or do I do it cuz im scared to touch shit now
@0nsight21 It said you maybe would need it, same with every other application developers use to make their own OS or etc. Its asking you to make a restore point just incase your computer gets harmed. But, this rarely happens and even microsoft said it is fine. But just make one in case of any "rare" scenarios happen.
@@Xxz_Dominator Yes, you can. Microsoft said you could. This guy is trying to make a fool out of him self by trying to scare people.
Actual it doesnt matter because all procs run be default.. Its actual for limiting the use of the CPU's core's for devs. So this setting does simply nothing for normal user. The best thing is to search your specs from your CPU and take some time to set hem manually in the BIOS .. If you never did that then my advice is to ask someone who can help you explain the BIOS on your computer how to set it up.
Yo, can you make a newer version of this video?
Everything is a lot different in windows 11, I can't follow the steps well :(

So this guy has no idea what he's telling you to do.
Why would going to msconfig to set the logical processers to whatever maximum value help you with anything?
It's not like Windows is designed to only utilize half of your resources.
By default, Windows is designed to manage the allocation of processing resources, including cores and threads, based on the system's capabilities and workload. The operating system utilizes various algorithms to distribute processing tasks across the available logical processors efficiently.
This means that leaving it on default IS THE SAME THING, as setting it to the maximum value people.
Granted, the change of powerplan is valid enough, why wouldn't you just go and enable the "Ultimate performance" one instead? That's way easier and does the same thing.
And Cortana disable at startup? Well yeah obviously, and please remember to disable any other useless crap you have installed as well, which most likely is way more beneficial in the end.

I made the adjustments proposed by you, but it's not totally obvious that the seeming performance increase so far heatens the processor aswell as parts of the mainboard, so i reduced the performance to 50% (percent) of the processor time. So that seems to give me slight performance improval whilst a slightly cooler mainboard, perhaps with broader bandwidth. I have my computer running many hours per day, or at night, so when components would get more then 55°C (degree celsius) they could degrade faster, that's not a good thing when older computers would become more reliable compared to actual hardware getting poorer in some ways. I'm kinda astonished to seemingly be the first commenter here mentionning the hot processor and mainboard degrade problem, as if you just have a new pc if you'd need one after a few months.
I'll see how the computer adapts or behaves.
bro if u have the stock cooler no shit
i keep my pc running day and night , full power on processor with a stable 5Ghz oc 8700K ,
memory oc and gpu oc ,
processor is running with Ultimate Power plan , invisible until you access it through windows registry ...
makes your processor run with even More power ,
after that i set games to use Realtime Priority , so they Actually use the >> full performance
bruh unless ur trying to have your computer for 20 years it not needed to keep it under 60C anymore, maybe on pre pentium 4 cpus. modern computers (sandy bridge and newer) have many safety features which makes it reliable at even 90C. It can last for like 5 years on 90C, not 100C that is BAD! But the heat is not what kills components, it's the repeating heat cycles of the hardware heating up and cooling down. If you leave your computer on at 90C without shutting it down it degrades slower than you turning it on and off every day and hitting 90C for short time several time q day
