Let's take a close look at my modified 1993 Toyota Chaser Tourer V that I recently imported! This is a 5th generation Chaser with the chassis code X90, more commonly known by enthusiasts as a JZX90. This JDM import has only recently begun to get some attention here in the States. They’re perfect for drifting, they’re fun on a winding road, they look great, and they’re big enough to fit your whole family. Today let's find out what makes a JZX90 so incredibly rad!

My Chaser is for sale! Place a bid here before Feb 20, 2024: bringatrailer.com/listing/1993-toyota-chaser-tourer-v-2
Dude, you have SAVED this poor car! It was a literal basket case, and now look at it...
Driven daily, going to car shows and meets, and carving canyons...Truly its best life!
What was wrong with it? It's for sale now
What do you think of the JZX90 Chaser? Also, should I import another car???
YES!! Maybe Mitsubishi Magna Ralliart next?)) It's rare rad and obscure compare to Evo)) but looks similar to it))
Oh, and Tourer V is pretty rare, if you don't know))
Yeah you should BUT the reason most Ppl feel to drive more Vehicle is what I'd bring. So the Nissan Pulsar GTR OR a Toyota Starlet *TRUST ME* you'll NOT be sorry
Yes all the Mexican cars, from me.
If you have the money and feel like it, why not a european car this time? I' thinking about the Rover 216 GTI, which is pretty special for several reasons, is based in a Honda drivetrain (easier to fix in the US) and than you can find for about 5.000 € in good conditions. Also the Volvo 480 is a personal favourite of mine, specially in the Turbo version. Both of them got a lot of curiosities, and i thought about telling you about it, but if you are a bit like me, I'm pretty sure you would enjoy better researching all those facts than beeing told about it. You could also buy a SEAT Ibiza I, which was developed from a Giugiaro design intended for the Golf II, and used engines developed by Porsche (branded as System Porsche).
It's cool to see youtubers posting videos about these cars nowadays. It brings back a lot of nostalgia for me. People can say all they want about Russia being a backwards country, but back in the 2000's we had a booming car culture, and these sorts of JDM legends were all over the place (as they were legal to import back then). The X90/X100 series cars (Mark II/Chaser/Cresta) literally had cult status in those days. They still sort of do, but a lot of them have been crashed or destroyed since then, and if back then these were affordable - now they command a premium and cost many times more than they did back then. I sold my JZX90 Chaser Tourer V in 2010 for 200 thousand rubles (admittedly it was a bit rough, and it had all 280 horsepower written in its vehicle passport, which strangely enough was pretty rare, usually it'd be 180-200, which is what the N/A 1JZ-GE was rated at, and which meant that transport tax was really high). Nowadays I don't think you can find one for any less than, like, 1-1.5 mil (with really good and extensively modified ones transactioning for 2.5-3 million). I probably should've hung on to mine.
I want one bad. My old roommate is importing cars, and he got a white JZX100 Tourer V 5 speed last year that was super clean with some high dollar mods. The TRD wing was a bit much but still, the car pulled so hard and sounded awesome. Seems like the ultimate car to me as I prefer the styling to ANYTHING of the last 20 years. Also, I really love the JZX81 Mark II.
Respect from Sibiria Russia! My jzx90 Mark 2 Tourer V R154 gives me extraordinary emotions every time I drive!!! Best wishes!
I’d rather have this than a Supra, if that’s considered blasphemous. I like the space and accessibility with 4 doors.
Looks awesome! I knew nothing about these but I really dig it!
Soooo happy to see this video! Of course you should import another!
Amazing to see the progress on this one! Color reminds me of Bayside Blue...
Amazing choice-defiintely off the beaten path!
There was a special edition TRD Chaser that was a race reward in Gran Turismo 2. It was by far my favorite car for a long time.
This was one of my go to cars in Gran Tourismo back in the day..
It still looks good!
Very well made and edited video!!
Thank you!! 😀😀😀
Ethan! That car is so 🔥🔥🔥 Enjoy my dood 🙏
I love it. Amazing car.
I was able to get my gx90 cresta for 9k. Currently swapping the 1G out and rebuild a 2JZ for it. 👍🏽 the cresta is easily the most fun car I owned.
People I've come across also call the JZX100 a 4 door Supra so I just roll with it lol.
I had purchased an x90 and canceled it because I had my heart set on a x100. Glad I did tho, this thing was in much better shape than the x90.
That HU is 100% 90s vibes 😅.
Congratulations on the car man, it's awesome 👌🏽.
Part of your previous x100 Chaser review was an affirmation that I made the right choice, too.
Amazing car brother 😮😮
I love my 1995 JZX90 Mark II tourer V. Mine is the dark green color that almost looks black.
Great video! Now we need a "Night drive" as you used to do...
About the car, I think it need some aesthetic mods, to keep it from looking like a fast & furious atrezzo car...
You make such great content you need to promote yourself more
Well done! most mature video of a drift chaser ever except best motoring videos that were recorded before drift culture devolved into IG likes, hoodies, tattoos, trap music, sneaker trends, beards, and all those things that make ppl identify themselves as a unique snowflake but clearly a part of a larger movement.... blah blah blah
From the front end it looks like a buffed Sentra B13 haha
Fallow you from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
what about the jzx101?
We sorta got a chaser the gs 300 is basically the same car sorta
I want to import japanese diesels and test how really reliable they are.
Ethan I am going to guess you now have a Montana LLC.
With the quality of the Chaser why did Toyota choose the Altezza as its 3 series fighter vs this under a Lexus badge?
I'm guessing vehicle size maybe? Pretty sure the Altezza is closer in size to the 3-series of that era
What brand is that exhaust tip?
I'm not sure! I couldn't find any branding on it. My guess is it was installed way back in the '90s.
Your 1st Gen GS300 was more Supra than the jzx90 😂
I liked video in 1st 10 seconds cuz chaser.. that all i need to know
Why Subaru doesn't benefit with the BMW-Toyota partnership ?
Yo Ethan do a little research on #KerryDrift #Jx100 from #Trinidad keep up the good work
Привет , скажи пожалуйста сколько стоит сейчас машина
Tire and rims size?
Tires are 225/40/18. I don't remember the rim width
Ethan, How does the Golden State set an emission testing standard for a car that was never sold there? 🤔
It can be inspected and certified for CA, but it costs a lot of money. Currently reg'd with family out of state until I sort that out
@@HelloRoad Whatever you do, don't tell anybody. 😉
Get yourself a Montana LLC and you are set.@@HelloRoad
This has an enormous cult following in the Russian Far East. Even my mom had a Mark II in the late 90's / early 00's
You know you're a racer when you got skinny arms 😆
🤤want.
99000 kilometers so 60k miles its rand new still
The Verossa is so ugly that its cool 😎
Jzx100 taillight is more good looking❤
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I preferred when u were modest..
What does this even mean
