old JDM cars in general are like this, even US spec ones that are highly modified. When it works, its great, but when it breaks, it usually ends in having to piece together a swap like you said or a custom setup. Time consuming and expensive! Yet, I still find myself spending my money on it LOL.
It’s definitely a labor of love 😂 once the car is at a good spot, it’s pretty reliable it just takes a minute to get there. I haven’t had to really work on mine in months until the turbos started to die. But I definitely put in the work to get it to this point of getting in it and not worrying about anything going wrong. Thanks for watching!
I really appreciate the view and comment either way! My dad has a 2010 Camry and I have this, they feel and sound the same (interior Toyota beeps and noises wise) just 20 years apart haha. Enjoy your x90!

thank you for the comment! And that's a great price for something in mint condition. Enjoy the gx! No matter the verison of xchassis, they are great cars.
How bad will it be if i decide to buy a JZX100 as my first car? i almost have enough $ to go trough the importing process. I like fixing things and looking for solutions and i never struggled with stuff like that. However i do not have a lot of experiance with cars, only did some repairs for family cars like gasket replacements and shit like that.
@@IamOrangeGT definitely don’t do it as a first car. Get something cheap and learn all the bs stuff on that. Invest/save the rest of the money and then in buy the JZX when you have experience under your belt.
Coming from a 09 335i, I’d like to think I’m relatively mechanically inclined, as well as used to the price. Is waiting that big of an issue my only worry is I’ll be dailying the jzx90 so I’m worried i womt have parts when i need them
@@zekes9858 that’s the huge issue. Is when something breaks you need to research and then order the right part and wait for it to arrive. Sometimes Japan is the only option, other times it’s ordering a part wrong from the US or it doesn’t fit exactlyyyy. Definitely need to have a backup car if you want to drive something old around
What do you guys suggest as a young 22 year old college graduate. I have 30k cash for a cool car as i plan on buying a house and "growing up" but i need one toy before i leave my parents. jzx is my dream car but is it worth it? that or i pay double and get a bow with a b58. (canadian prices)
30k as a 22 year old is a lot of money man. I would Invest that else where before dumping it all into a money pit of a car to be completely honest. Especially if you want to buy a house one day. What I did with my jzx was take a loan and paid it off in 3 years. Mean while I Kept all my money in a high yield savings account. I am Currently house shopping now in the USA and it’s brutal in our area, so I’m glad I’ve had extra money stashed away. Just food for thought. Thanks for watching and commenting man. Good luck!
I have met many people that have seen a TikTok or UA-camr of a car they like. Then they buy it thinking they’ll get the same attention. It was never about the car, just to get followers and attention. Then they sell it
I paid 2 loaf of breads back in 1930 for a JZX i ain't paying 69,420 for one. 😭 It is what it is. These car die every day the ones we see are the one who live another day/year. With every year they become harder and harder to comeby. Prices will only rise and won't fall.
It really be like that and unfortunately just part of time moving on. I agree with you. That’s why I made video to warn anybody who does get into these cars to know what to expect. So many influencers out there that tell people about these cars for clicks and views, and those people buy these cars thinking they’ll get fame/clout like them, but may not know the reality of owning it. If you buy a car with the intention of it not being for yourself to enjoy, it’s already a lost cause. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Hey man started watching your channel recently because I'm interested in getting a jzx100. For almost 10k is it worth in your opinion to get an auto jzx for that price ?
@@PolloFuegos Is it 1jz? Where do you live? Do you not mind being looked everywhere you go? I'd say it's worth it. 1jz with manuals are going for 15k+ You can find other models for 7k. I plan on selling two in California for 6k and another for 8k. Both are 1gfe. But good chassis to use if wanting to drift or a nice daily. One thing if you live in California, if you want to buy an import car if you can buy two of the same vehicle then you can afford one. I say you should definitely buy it before someone else buys the car.

I agree, even in the US stuff for older foreign cars are a bit or miss now. Why do we do this to ourselves 😭 haha
