Is it just me? If I’m paying nearly 10 grand could you put turn signals on the thing?
Main reason of comparing those to a cars is a fact that they cost as a cars too?

There were a couple below 5k but some of the prices are eye watering for how little you are getting in comparison to a car. To make them competitive, quality e-bikes and cargo bikes need to be manufactured by MAJOR industrial manufacturers like the major auto manufacturers like Toyota, Ford or Volkswagen by the millions.
Niche manufacturers, even relatively large companies like Cube and Reise and Muller are still small companies compared to the car manufacturers.
Produced in large volume at affordable prices and a guarantee of reliability and parts and components for fifteen to twenty years. At 2½k I'd definitely buy one. I think there was one mentioned at $2,800 or less?
Although in reality, the auto manufacturers are not going to mass produce millions of an affordable, reliable alternative to a car, are they?
Maybe the Chinese will............?
These bikes are a fabulous alternative to a car or a second car for local transport and commuting.

10 thousand for a bike, go figure why they went broke.
