Didn’t know until this interview that Mikey is NGHFB’s musical director. Which makes me even more certain that he’ll be involved in the Oasis reunion tour, on top of his past involvement with the band onstage and in the studio. With all the speculation about who’ll be playing in the reunion line-up, I’m surprised Mikey’s name hasn’t come up more often.
Could not agree more :)
Ha! How random the UA-cam algorithm just guided me here? I remember, dunno aged 14/15 (so circa 1986), round MR’s parents gaff in New Road, mucking about on his Dads organ. I could tell even back then he had an amazing natural talent; able to hear any song and able to play it on keyboard, just like that 😁👍🏻
Fantastic Interview Mikey played on so many great Oasis Gigs geez and his work with Sheryl Crowe Amazing stuff !
Couldn't agree more!
This was amazing! Always loved his work with Oasis. I’ve been fortunate to know his two brothers and they all have a natural gift with music. Incredible people and musicians.
Thank you so much for this podcast! Really awesome to watch. Mikey Rowe is such a brilliant player, as I adore his playing at Oasis, Sheryl and Noel. Also Mikey’s acoustic stuff with Noel are such masterpieces! Greetings from Holland.🇳🇱🎹🤘🏻
Greetings back to you Roy and thanks for checking out the interview!
Quite an audition and first gig! Hey you’re great what are you doing in October? We’re heading into Abbey Road studios . . . . 😮😮😮. Mikey isn’t the first one to say the bigger the crowd the less nervous you are. There’s soo much going on, not all eyes are necessarily on YOU. The more intimate the venue/crowd, you’re definitely under more the glass! Interesting perspective! Great interview but like someone else mentioned the “bong” noises were a bit distracting Thanks from Tammy’s Musical Stew. 💜🎶🇨🇦
another great interview Dave ❤️🎹
Thanks again!
Excellent interview, David. Fascinating character & career, Mikey.
It also puts your own very extensive knowledge on display!
Thanks as always sir!
Mikey what is your favourite keyboard sound on the Roland keyboards, the FA-06 for example.
Excellent interview, love it
I wonder if Mikey transposes DEAD IN THE WATER up 3 to be in the same key as Noel? I do when playing it best I can.
Mikey Kind of Rowe
Wow he’s got a lot of stuff 😊
Ok computer is the Radiohead album. Great interview. What a dude Mike Rowe is. “Bum notes and shit jokes Mike Rowe “- on the back of Be Here Now album.
Thanks Steven yes realised my mistake re: Radiohead when editing - thanks for listening / watching!
@@TheKeyboardChronicles was superb interview mate. As an avid Oasis and Noel fan since day one it was a great insight. Mike input to Noel’s work should never been underestimated. Will def check out more of your interviews. Cheers.
@@stevenoasis1 pleasure is all ours!
@stevenoasis1 you may have heard it but if not check out the stage left podcast with russ Pritchard if you enjoyed this
@@DH-TVyeah mate I did! Russ is a great dude.
Whats the sound for LOCK ALL THE DOORS. Off beat stabs at the start.
Lovely interview as always Mr. Holloway ❤️❤️✌️✌️😎😎🔥🔥🔥If you don’t mind me asking, what level should I set the physical master volume control on my keyboard at? My board is going through a di and presumably on to foh and monitors. I’m just starting playing gigs and unsure of this seemingly simple detail😂 Thanks for the podcast!!
Good question! I tend to have it at 75% :)
I have mine at 60% to leave a bit of head room but it all depends on what rig/setup you have.
He has some great keyboards but could do will buying a microphone 😂 only joking, love his playing, no one else quite like him.
What is MD?
Musical Director :)
He seems like an absolute amazing super cool guy, love his playing , amazing musician; he’s a flying bird!! … his nails do look like s#!7£ I must say 🤢, I can’t help noticing when I see him on videos
Blimey they had a keyboard player? All I ever heard was wall to wall guitars playing on every single beat and turned up to 11! Always thought it was ironic that the brothers thought they were the Beatles, probably the best produced band ever, and yet Oasis had no production value at all. Luckily they did have Liam's voice.
he's probably more obvious live
Cheers.
m needs a new mic his sound was awfull ffs man wtf ya on...M
