As a neutral viewer the 2 England games were amongst the 4 worst games of the tournament. You'll literally never see an England performance like yesterday's Belgium for example, they never stopped attacking no matter the score and no matter how many goals they get disallowed.
England played alright against france in the last world cup tbf. That was when Southgate seemed to take the handbrake off a bit as his job was on the line but now he's just continued like nothing happened.
