Looking at other teams in this competition there is one thing I have noticed. ALL of the other teams are not frightened to smash the ball from outside of the box while attempting to score a goal. ENGLAND however are still trying to walk the ball into the net.

No-one needs to be "dropped". England has a big squad of very talented players, who would benefit from being "rotated" more often to keep them fresh. "Dropped" isn't the right term here.
Trent needs to play. We all saw how good he was during the qualifiers and the friendlies before the euros. Tbh it's not just about how good a player is: It's how good the total system/team performs and how the positions and players interact best to form that team/tactics. Right now, the way England play: Saka on the right-wing does not contribute enough, same with Kane and Bellingham no matter they're some of the best players in the world (stats and clubs). Given the current performances, I'd drop Saka and go 3-2-4-1 and replace with Palmner on the right side... Mainoo and Rice in the middle in front of defence. Bellingham and Foden middle and Gordon on the left with Watkins up front to start.

Iceland is irrelevant...no one ever turns up the last warm up game before a tournament starts..almost that team finished the last match and even though we wasnt great all match...last few mins we were on the front foot and those same players had a different intensity to the Iceland game.

No-one needs to be "dropped". England has a big squad of very talented players, who would benefit from being "rotated" more often to keep them fresh. "Dropped" isn't the right term here.

Trent needs to play. We all saw how good he was during the qualifiers and the friendlies before the euros. But Southgate, despite seeing how good he was, decided to go to the euros and play him in a completely different role, and then drop him because he didn’t play well in that role, not thinking that he would maybe be better either as a number 8 or as a right back.
All the mainstream media are saying England cannot drop Kane. What a load of bullocks - what's wrong with player rotation? Purpose of player rotation is exactly that - Rotate between those players who have not been playing well with fresher players.

It’s because people want to see their new favourite player “Cold” Palmer so have to attack Saka for him to have a chance.
Tbh it's not just about how good a player is: It's how good the total system/team performs and how the positions and players interact best to form that team/tactics.
Right now, the way England play: Saka on the right-wing does not contribute enough, same with Kane and Bellingham no matter they're some of the best players in the world (stats and clubs).
Given the current performances, I'd drop Saka and go 3-2-4-1 and replace with Palmner on the right side... Mainoo and Rice in the middle in front of defence. Bellingham and Foden middle and Gordon on the left with Watkins up front to start.
