      Thank you! I've only ever shipped cookies a couple of times and it was just a few so I'm no expert. What I do know is tons of bubble wrap and make sure there's no movement in the box so when you shake it, nothing moves inside, so stuff it with buble wrap or paper until that happens!

    Hello! If you’re giving them individually wrapped to the customer how do you hand them their cookies? Do you bring them in something and make sure they bring something to carry them in?

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  Рік тому

      Sometimes I'll have bigger versions of these boxes on hand and line them up in the boxes, so not on top of each other but put them sideways and one behind the other. I've also just lined them up in paper bags before too, for that I'd suggest doing it for studier cookies, so ones that don't have any narrow sections so they don't break.

      @@LittleCookieCo Hi! I noticed how a lot of cookie sellers on youtube stopped selling their amazing sugar cookies and I was wondering why? Does it drain people out?

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  2 роки тому +1

      It is very draining, a lot of time goes into them and a lot of cookiers like myself have other full time non-cookie jobs. Most people don't charge enough to make it worth while because they feel like people won't pay. And I know a lot of bakers have said that cakes are much more profitable because they can charge a good price and they take much less time. Hopefully cookies will get to that point as well one day!

    How do you package larger cookie orders like 2-3 dozen? That’s what I average but they are getting smashed when they lean on each other.

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  2 роки тому +2

      I used to have deeper and wider boxes where I could put more in there, but haven't had them recently. I know some people get deep boxes and then will lay the cookies sideways so they're in a row so they're not on top of eachother if you're worried about them getting smashed. My cookies are quite sturdy so if I lay them on top of the one next to it or behind it they usually are ok!

  • @charmainetodhunter8341

    Hi, what size are the clear bags for the cookies? I looked up the link but there was lots of different sizes. Thanks

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  2 роки тому +2

      I usually get a bag thats at least 4 inches wide because thats how wide my cookies are, I like to some that are 5 inches too because sometimes when you have a thicker cookie and layers of icing you need a little extra space. So my go to sizes are 4x7, size 4.5x10 (this size is good if your tying them with ribbon) or sometimes I can bag 2 cookies with this one cause its tall, and size 5x8 for my bigg cookies!

    When I put my dried cookies in a heat sealed bag, the total icing will “stick” to the bag & almost get wet & smear. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong or how to stop this. Do you have any suggestions?

      Royal icing ***

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  2 роки тому +1

      How long do you let your cookies dry for?I normally leave them at least 8 hours or longer uncovered. Sometimes the surface is really dry but the icing may be slightly wet under or its really humid and it's not full dry. Another thing is the type of bag you use that could be causing the issue, sometimes different plastics don't do as well. I believe mine are polypropylene (I have them linked under the video) and I've never had issues with them.

    • @jordanann4383

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  2 роки тому +2

      Hi and thank you!! It sounds like maybe you were using a different type of icing? If you are using royal icing you would have to let it dry about 8 hours or overnight on the counter uncovered for them to be fully dried and be able to bag them. Hello, how do you price your cookies when selling them?

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  Рік тому

      You could technically try and work out your ingredient cost and then add an hourly wage etc. I've never actually sat down and done that though. But if you're consistently busy with cookie orders, then it's a good sign you need to raise your prices. It has to be worth it for you to make them and be compensated fairly for your time and effort. Also, depends on the detail, amount of colours, size of cookies, if they want individual packaging etc. All of those things should be considered and added on to your minimum prices..
