The idea was to climb Tinto Hill by mountain bike and enjoy a relaxing solstice sunset and sunrise. The weather had other ideas unfortunately which put paid to a lot of filming on this one. If you enjoyed my video please consider buying me a coffee at www.buymeacoffee.com/andrewpark Every little helps and thank you for your support!

Haha.....a very familiar hill that, very familiar indeed. Some nice sunset shots all the same. Sod dragging a bike up it though. Downwards journey must have been "Tinto Thrills" right enough. ATB

Another great video Andrew. Thanks for keeping me in touch with the auld country (and who doesn't love a man falling off a bike and losing [and then finding] his stuff) 😂

Cheers Graham, if the weather had played ball I could have got more filming done but hey ho, that's Scotland

Great video Andrew, a wee bit of everything in there, do you do all your own stunts? 🤣 it would be bloody hairy coming down Tinto on a bike 😮 I've thought about camping 🏕 on Tinto but wasn't sure 🤔 you may have changed my mind but I'll leave the bike at home 😉 atb Brian 👍

Lovely film Andrew, really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing.
Interestingly had the same happen on my own solstice camp, clagged in, could have done with that fire steel as well, piezo packed in 🙈
    Anyways, cracking stuff, ATB 👍

I walked up Tinto last month. Just checked my stats. 1 hour 3 mins to get to the summit from the car park. Just as well I didn’t take my ebike 😂 Our view was worse than yours though. Couldn’t see a thing. All the best!

It all looked good till the clag came along 😂 , I think Tinto is just above Thankerton as I pass on a weekly basis . Ebikes certainly do help with tired and worn joints , glad you found your gear after sitting in the wrong place . I bet it was a damp night for your mate in the bivi ,at least you had a shelter that was away from you. Tfs atb Dave

Wow up on a bike, been looking at elec bikes for bike packing, but can’t make my mind up, normal bike better while you can manage as much lighter for the push parts, sure you agree now,
18 litres I would love to see the load out !!!!!

It was just the walk function on Jim's bike is way too slow, need re-programmed. I tried Richard's and it would drag you up the hill !

It's been very good Tim, no issues. A bit warm so far but the test will come these coming months, i've never fully zipped it up as it's been too warm but at under a kilo it's no hardship to carry all year round. A

cycling.. it's just bad for your health! & to be honest lithium (a finite resource) wasted on an 'athletic' bike is kind of taking the pi$$. looked like a great morning but how did Richard get on his bivvy?
