The F-117 was retired in April 2008, mainly due to the F-22 Raptor, but some of the fleet has been kept in airworthy condition. The F-117 is still flown for training purposes, as an adversary aircraft, and as a surrogate for cruise missiles. Geez so many errors in the comments… I’ll just address the understandable one in that the F-117 was brought out of retirement somewhat recently to serve as adversary trainers and develop tactics to counter enemy stealth. You can find them flying about by simply searching up UA-cam videos.

Ironic how this is suppose to be "pro-military/Pro-America" propaganda video when all it does is further expose the military/industrial complex. The fact that all these aircraft are spread out over all these different companies and their geography (i.e state politicos!) is just more proof of the politics and waste in the military procurement process
Well the government contracts different companies all the time in every level, so why is it an issue when the military does it? It’s not a waste of procurement, it’s a means of choosing the best aircraft for a specific role. I agree that I believe that the government spends too much on the military, but I don’t see an issue with them choosing multiple countries to bid for the contract. That’s a way to get the companies to go all out with creating the most effective prototypes.
