  • In this video I’m using the Snap On bb71165 pressure bleeder. I’ve had a lot of requests for this video. Lmk any questions you may have in the comments on the bleeder. Overall I have had issues with this bleeder it’s far from perfect but I have used it well over 100 times now as well.

I have looked into getting something like this. The issue that I see with this type of pressure bleeder is NON-shop type use with long storage periods in-between. Let’s say you use it and then store it. Subsequently, unless you clean it really well (but who does that?), it will have some fluid remaining in it. That fluid will then pull moisture during the storage period. Then, when you are ready to use, it will be full of moist residual brake fluid from the previous use time. So will it’s corresponding hose. What would have to be done at this point is to first flush the unit itself as well it’s lines with dry brake fluid (but who does that?). Then empty it and fill it with dry brake fluid, ready to be transferred into the vehicle. However this would use quite some amount of brake fluid as well. Of course as long as it does a good job bleeding all the air out of the lines, it would be worth it.

I wish they had a pressure guage on it. Instuctions say 80psi max.

I’ve never needed one. But you could add one to it if you wanted one

I’ve been using the motive power bleeder with the Honda adapter for around 2 years. Same concept just have to manually pump it. Cant beat it for under 100$.

Nice! Glad it works. Not sure I would want a manual version or not.
