These trains were my childhood and I grew up going on these trains when my family went on holiday. Nearly everyone complained when you saw a 142 pull into the station and I'm honestly sad that this class isn't running anymore. While they were uncomfortable and noisy, they got you from point a to point b which is what they were designed for. I'm glad that some of them have been preserved as they are the reason most branch lines stayed open.
Are class 142 pacer trains 🚊 🚂 🚆 really that good 👍. Well, what happens is that the pacer trains 🚊 can break down. The seats 💺💺💺 can be uncomfortable 🥴. They may be cold 🥶 inside, however less cold 🥶 inside than outside. Class 142 pacer trains 🚆 are wearing the original Northern Rail livery and original Arriva Trains 🚊 Wales 🏴 livery. Class 142 pacers were in the south west of England 🏴 in 1986 to 1988 and again from 2007 to 2011. They were used on 3 Devon branch lines that ran from Exeter to Barnstaple is the Tarka Line, Exeter to Exmouth is the Avocet Line, Exeter to Paignton is the Riviera Line daily and public holidays except Christmas 🎄 Day and Boxing 🥊 Day and finally perhaps 🤔 Exeter to Okehampton is the Dartmoor Line onsummer ☀️ 🌞 ⛅️ 😎 Sundays only. Although the Dartmoor Line runs daily everyday now and bank holidays except Christmas 🎅 Day and Boxing 🥊 Day. 👍👍👍👍
As a pacer myself I find this video amazing
And pacers are better than Bella the wolf and Amtrak

Me too I didn’t find them uncomfortable either.
0:57 image your the driver seeing 3 men standing there looking at you and nobody else is there lol
Great vid
They're given more flack than they deserve. The Pacers helped save Britain's branch lines.
It’s…… strange. You don’t miss them till they’re gone 🥲
No offense but pacers arent that special
