Thank you guys for such a comprehenceve video. I would like to ask you. With the 28 inch barrel gun, would be as successful as with 30 inch barrel for sporting, long distance targets? If so, then why most of people prefer 30 inch shotguns for sporting clays?

George Laliashvili hey there. We did a test on a shooting range one day. Not only there was no huge difference in results for barrel length, but also a type of shells used. Although there was a difference in the feel and comfort. Regarding barrels: my coach (multiple times champion) has different barrel lengths from his sponsor, and he uses the guns depending what they advertise more now. He says that to get to the final he does not care which to shoot. To get to a first place he prefers 30 inch one. Reason is the balance and the weight. In 32 it is hard to balance the gun properly and turn fast. 28 is great for skeet, but for far away targets it might be too “fast” and light. Although 30 (76cm) is the perfect balance between all, what I like in beretta black is that it is 30 but feels like a skeet gun on faster targets due to lighter weight, so with 76 black you will be great both on skeet and sporting (not professional opinion, but vincent shoots 76 now on wold champs, the difference is the chokes and the stock, barrels are also custom, but I had such guns in hands. If you are not a pro you will not spot too much difference. Regular might even feel better

Although my coach does not like my black edition, as it is 1) too light 2) in his opinion too much money for the look, as he is a firm believer that guns are less important than the shooter skills

Regarding shells: we tried shooting very far targets with 7,5 24 gr and 28 gr... i switched to 24 all around (even competition) after that. 24 is lighter and keep you less tired through shooting and if it is a good shell, than it breaks everything without any problem. One warning although - there was one not really good shell that on 24g did not break any targets. I stopped buying this company after that. All great manufacturers shells workt great on 70 meters, so decided not to spend extra money on 28g anymore.
